The Alchemyst

by Michael Scott

Josh and Sophie Newman are 2 ordinary twins, but they discover that they are twins of legend with gold and silver auras.  Nicholas Flamel, an immortal human, takes them on an adventure full of mythical creatures and gods.  The entire book takes place over a course of 2 days and is very descriptive.  I highly recommend this book!

I read the first book, but I didn't find out there were so many sequels until recently.  I think I might try the second after I finish some other series.

I liked it at first but half way through it started to get a little predictable.
