This wacky and wonderful adventure, by Carl Hiaasen, who also wrote Hoot, takes you into Florida, where it introduces Wahoo and Mickey Cray, a son and father who practically live in a zoo, Wahoo's dad is an animal wrangler, who keeps all of his exotic and honorable animals in his backyard. When they get hired out by reality survivalist TV star Derek Badger, things begin to get crazy. After Derek gets "chomped" by a gator, a snake, a bat, and a turtle, he promptly runs away into Everglades. Many search teams go after him, revealing how fake Derek is.
