This book is so epic! Literally— it’s a retelling of an old epic (a type of poem). The story is simple— a hero named Beowulf defeats an evil demon who is determined to destroy a great Danish king. But it’s a lot more than it seems like- it presents new ideas about what makes a hero, and has a heavy emphasis on turning weaknesses into strengths. It’s an incredible story— read it!
