The
Various is about an 11-year-old girl named Midge who is spending the
summer  with her uncle and cousins. But
strange things begin to happen. Midge finds an injured horse with wings stuck
in her uncle's old barn. And then she meets the Various, a band of faeries that
live in the woods and wetlands behind her uncle's house. The Various have been
kept secret for a long time but since Midge's uncle is planning on selling the
land, they are on the verge of extinction. For the first time, human and faerie
worlds clash as Midge helps the Various survive the threat to their home.
