The Lightning Thief

by Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson has a lot of problems--ADHD and Dyslexia just for starters. Then, at a school field trip, his math teacher turns into a monster and tries to kill him! Somehow, he gets a sword, and vaporizes her! Then, no one remembers her--except his friend Grover, and even Grover pretends he doesn't! After school ends, things get weirder and weirder. He finds out that Grover isn't quite what he thought he was, his teacher is famous, and that his dad's alive! After learning that he's a demi-god, he attends summer camp, that's meant to train heros! Soon after, Percy and some old and some new friends, set out to one of the most dangerous places in the world! Percy will need his wits, a little help from his immortal dad, his friends, and his sword to complete this quest!
