Unwind is a fantastic science-fiction book with lots of adventure. It mainly revolves around three kids who are to be sent to be unwind for different reasons in the setting of a future US. Two of them want to escape their fate while dragging along the third, a willing tithe. Unwinding is a process where your organs are harvested for the transplant of others.  There's nothing really scary in there and has a good ending.
