Miranda is a great cat,who lives in Rome with her daughter, Punka, and her owners. She is happy, but when the barbarians invade the city, Miranda and Punka get left behind!!

They venture through the city collecting orphaned kittens, as they go along. But as they 

go, there are problems. Miranda must find out how to get the orphaned kittens and her

own kittens to a safe home, quickly. Miranda the Great is a great book to show that cats

can be brave, in exciting situations.
