DaffodilParticipantWhen someone goes on and comments "Top" or "goop" or a nonsense word, They are commenting in order to bring the thread to the top of the page and get more views/comments.

WritingWarriorParticipantI'm reviving this! There's plenty more terminology out there now…
Pie Wars – An old event on the CB where CBers would make threads, make teams, and throw pies at each other by posting this: [} They would construct more elaborate pies and use pictures as the wars got more intense. Some of the most well-known Pie Warriors were the great TNO and Jenni Queen of Pieland.
Middle Pages – The pages in the middle of each section that are rarely visited anymore. Term coined by Tiffany.
Silly Stupid
Smiley Story – A story told entirely in smiley faces, often in a laughably simplistic manner. Like so:
Hey, I'm Bob!
And I'm Mortified!
And this is a Silly Stupid Smiley Story!
I'm so cool.
Oh, John, you're so dreamy.

Leave her alone, John! And so on. (For some reason, there's always a love triangle in these.)
DTRA – Dead Thread Revival Agency; a thread created to top popular old threads worth saving. DTRA Agents got code names and were assigned to threads.
TCCP – The Chatterbox Currency Project; a project where CBers got a certain amount in virtual seed money and started their own businesses on a thread. The project grew to include a bank and mall.
Spammy – The nickname for the CAPTCHA box (though (s)he goes by many others). A popular thread topic is "Spammy Says", where CBers try to find some coherent word in the randomness of the CAPTCHA.
Debate Era – A CB era of fierce debates in every category about everything from presidents to global warming to creation vs. evolution. Threads began appearing called "stop the debates" and "not a debate". Eventually it died down as people ran out of topics and argumentative users left.
Author
Pairs – A project which paired up CBers by writing level and interests. They would then write a story or poems together.World Domination – Before Red's Great Lemming War…there was ZNZ's Conquest. ZNZ formed an army of people for world domination. Only one obstacle stood in her way…the formidable, logical Ima and her combination of Pokemon and CB allies. ZNZ used jellybeans to take over the world, while Ima used pies. The thread is still one of the most posted on in Down to Earth, and is highly entertaining.
More later!

Smiley Threads: You know what smilies are, probably.
These things, in case you don't: 🙂 😀 😛 🙁 :'( etc. Smiley Threads
are exhibitions of sorts where people display their smiley knowledge.RP: Short for roleplay. Each person picks a character
to be, then everyone creates a world. Each time someone posts, they
write about battles or meeting someone or riding a dragon or WHATEVER
people do in their world from their point of view. Popular RP Topics:
Fantasy, Harry Potter (Harry Potter=HP), Hunger Games, Warriors (Stay
away from Warriors RPs-we'll discuss why later), dragons, dystopia, etc.Smiley Wars: Same as Pie Wars, but with smilies.
Wordie Gurdies: Also known as Hink Pinks. You come up
with a question, and the answer rhymes. Example: What do you call a beginning dessert? A rookie cookie!NaNoWriMo: Stands for National Novel Writing Month. It's an activity with its own
website that lots of people here are involved in. You have to write
50,000 words in one month to win prizes.YWP: Young Writer's Program. NaNoWriMo for underage people. You can set your own word count. Prizes still apply.
Charrie: Character.
Letters to Your Charries: A thread where CBers write letters to characters in their stories, offering advice–and criticism. Example: "Dear [Charrie Name], Wow, you're such a Mary Sue! (see below) And of course, to top it all off, you have perfect, shimmering blond hair. Go figure."
FF: Fanfiction (story written with the world and characters of a book, movie, TV show, etc. often with a twist).
Canon: The original book that you're writing the fanfiction off of.
Mary-sue: A character that lacks development or personality of any kind.
Known for their conspicuous lack of flaws. Boring to read about.Gary-stu: A male Mary-sue.
Anti-sue: A Villain with no redeeming qualities at all. Pure wickedness
at all times, without any real explanation. Stereotypical. -
