Quotibles"You have curious notions about heroes. I have never known a man's courage to be judged by the length of his hair. Or, for the matter of that, whether he has any hair at all."
Hope this isn't too hard.

Mag FanParticipantIs it Don Juan, by Lord Byron? I love that book!
-
-
TrueParticipantHeroes of Olympus? Harry Potter?
-
EverinneParticipant14
Silent NightNeither. It's older than that.
-
-
TrueParticipantI couldn't help it, and looked it up. *sheepish grin* But I never ever heard of the author. Interesting choice.
-
EverinneParticipant14
SecretYeah, I'd never heard of it before either until I stumbled on the series at the library bookshop. If you want to, you can post a new quote. I'm guessing no one is going to know what mine's from and I hate killing the thread with an obscure quotation.
-
IvyParticipantI googled it too, and I actually know the author and series, but I haven't read them.
-
-
-
TrueParticipantThey say he was one of teh creators of Cricket. That's what I found interesting. Who's posting next?
-
EverinneParticipant14
PrydainSorry True, I'm going with Ivy since she's heard of it before.
-
TrueParticipantI wasn't asking for a chance! 🙂 I was just wanting to make sure that the game wouldn't drop to the bottom. 😉
-
@ IvyParticipantYour Turn
EverinneIvy, it's your turn to post a quote!
-
IvyParticipantSorry, I hadn't seen this!
"She wore a pendent – a glittering D – possibly her initial, or her grade average."

Somewhere ChivalrousI think it's from The Serpents Shadow, The Kane Chronicles, right?
This is from an older, harder to read book, but I challenge you to find another book with a character named Wamba, so I'll give it to you anyways.:
"Truly," said Wamba, without stirring from the spot, "I have consulted my legs upon this matter, and they are altogether of opinion, that to carry my gay garments through these sloughs, would be an act of unfriendship to my sovereign person and royal wardrobe; wherefore, Gurth, I advise thee to call off Fangs, and leave the herd to their destiny, which, whether they meet with bands of travelling soldiers, or of outlaws, or of wandering pilgrims, can be little else than to be converted into Normans before morning, to thy no small ease and comfort."

Planet EarthWow, its been awhile since anyone posted.

CaliforniaI agree, and I would post, but I have no idea what book that's from. Here's another quote, though (it might not be precisely the one in the book):
She had made 1 million dollars in the stock market, lost it all, and got 5 million more.
