superhero schoolDraco closed his eyes.
Focus, he told himself.
A tingling sensation rose from the tips of his toes to his hair. It soon turned to an intense burning sensation. It felt like his body was engulfed in flames, and it was all he could do not to scream.
Suddenly, his eyes opened. Or at least he thought they opened. They felt closed, but he could see… something. A familiar orange glow and a throbbing heat.
This must be the fire realm, Draco thought.
Draco felt something gently tap his shoulder. He looked at his shoulder and found n orange claw resting on it.
Draco whirled around in alarm. "Relax," said a familiar voice. "You know I would never hurt you."
Phoenicious!" Draco cried with a grin
The friendly orange dragon nodded. "Yes, it is me. But I'm afriad this is not the fire realm, where I raised you. This is your mind. I only exist in your mind at the moment."
Draco was stunned. "You mean- you're dead?"
Phoenicious nodded sadly. "I am afraid it is so. But there is a way to make me temporarily return to the world. You must copy my actions." Phoenicious maid a few complicated gestures. "Have you got that, Draco?"
"I-I think so,"
Phoenicious smiled. "Good. I knew from the first moment I met you that you would one day save the world. Hurry, and good luck!" with that, Phoenicious disappeared in a puff of smoke, and Draco was back in reality, fighting the scorion king.
"Draco!" yelled Aveleen. "What was that? Why did you just close your eyes and not move for a long time? We've got a scorion to defeat here!" Draco said nothing. Instead, he just copied the gestures Phoenicious taught him.
"What ar you doing?" Frank asked. "This is not the time for charades!"
Draco finished the gestures. As soon as he was done, an echoing boom sounded above them that startled everyone, even the scorion king, and a great winged beast appeared overhead.
"DRAGON!" Aveleen shrieked
The scorion king only scowled at the sight of Phoenicious. "So we meet again, my orange nemesis," he growled.

Layla watched as Draco turned into a dragon. She heard the scorion king rumble angrily, saying how he meets the dragon again. Layla suddenly felt something within her stir. She stumbled a little, her mind filled with fog.
Concentrate. Layla heard the single command and knew it was Ember.
Focus. Layla shook away the confusion of why Ember was telling her this, and concentrated, trying to see the ground that her paws stood on. The haziness that she was seeing started to disappear. But as soon as it cleared away, a large paw came flying towards Layla. She leaped away, trying to calm her speeding heart.
Layla, think of me. Then think of me right beside you. Layla shut her eyes tight, thinking of Ember. She reopened her eyes, and Ember prowled towards her.
" This better not be a trick," Layla spit.
" It isn't." For with Ember, came forward two other scorions.
" We are under your command, Nightmare. We will fight till we die," Ember growled, glaring up at the scorion king. Layla nodded, and the four scorions leaped towards the scorion king.

Pete the TrollslayerParticipantUltimate moonFrank watched as Draco summoned the dragon, and while Layla did the same with three scorions. Aveleen just looked scared. The scorion king was all mangled, but he wasn't giving up yet. Frank had to do something. But what could he do? He closed his eyes, and thought positive thoughts. Like his mom and dad. Oh, If they could just get together again, Frank's life would be perfect. Then he figured it out. The real villain here is the scorion king. He's the one who hurt his friends. The one who messed with TEA. The one who took away his mother. The one who ruined his life.
Frank opened his eyes, and noticed something right away. Every one, except him, was in slow motion. Was he going so fast that it looked like that to him? He decided to try something out. He jumped, then fell, then jumped again, on nothing. Yup, just as he had expected, he was also going fast enough to jump on pockets of pure air. He was now ultimately powerful. He must look so fast to his friends. He then safely bounced back to the ground, and turned to the scorion king.
He muttered, "This is for my mom," and leaped towards his foe.
Also, Noelle, Draco summoned the dragon, he didn't turn into one.

Strange planeThe scorion king was mangled….. so why was Aveleen still terrified?
Hello, Aveleen……
Aveleen gasped and tried to wrench the scorion king out of her thoughts. How could he stick in there when he was down for the count?
How? How, you ask? Your friends aren't fighting me.
What? No, it can't be…….
Yes, Aveleen. They're fighting a mirage.
You just made a mistake, scorion. I'll tell my friends.
You can't…… if you're out of comission.
No!
Aveleen screamed as she blacked out, watching her friends rejoice over the lifeless body of the mirage.
Plot twist! Sorry if this messed you up. We can forget about this if you guys dislike it.
I wanted to give Aveleen a reason for just standing there looking scared, so….. yep.
-
Noelle C.Participant12
No this plot twist is awesome!
Layla's gleamed with victory as the scorion king fell. But she suddenly leaped around, when Aveleen's body fell to the ground.
" Aveleen!" Layla rushed over, scanning her, trying to find something that hurt her. There was nothing. Nothing that seemed wrong. Layla felt something nudge her. She turned her head, her eyes meeting up with that of Ember.
" Look," Ember whispered, her eyes wide with fear, shock, and confusion. Layla turned her head back to the scorion king, wondering why those emotions were running through Ember like a river. The body of the scorion king… It would disappear by splitting, then reappearing, like a picture on a computer.
" What? What's going on with its body?" Frank asked bewildered. Layla's eyes widened.
" It was too easy!" Layla hissed in anger.
" You're right! The whole time he was swinging his tail, and moving his paws. Never once did he move forward or retreat! And if he's that big and powerful, he would have been regenerating, like Layla does! It's a fake!" Draco yelled, glaring at the spot where the fake, dead scorion king was. Layla looked back at Aveleen.
" Please wake up," Layla whispered, as she shifted back to human form.
-
Pete the TrollslayerParticipantOrange moonFrank looked at Aveleen, then the body of the mirage. It was all for nothing. His ultimate power was for nothing. Then he turned to Ember.
"You!" he raged. "You were controlling me! You took my mom! Where is she?!" Before Ember had a chance to answer, Frank was fighting her, delivering many punches and kicks in only a fraction of a second. Ember lashed out her tail, but Frank dodged, and with his new power, was soon on top of her.
"Stop!" Draco yelled. Ember and Frank turned to him and seperated. Draco was pointing to the limp body of Aveleen. Frank glared at Ember, then joined Layla next to Aveleen. Then, finally, something happened.
The dragon Draco sommoned pushed throught the crowd and looked at Aveleen. "I think I can help her," he said. But before he could do anything, little flakes of orange started falling off of him.
"Hurry!" Draco shouted. "You're dying!"

superhero school"I'm afraid the real scorion king is not even close to where we are," Phoenicious said. His ears pricked up. "Yes, I am sensing he is more then 500 miles north of here."
Draco's shoulders slumped in disappointment. "How, then, are we ever going to save the world?"
"There is only one thing we can do," Phoenicious replied. "Go back in time and kill the scorion king as a baby."
Draco's eyes got wide. "You mean," he spluttered, "You can TIME TRAVEL?"
The dragon nodded mysteriously. "Yes, Draco," he replied. "My power has few limits. But we must hurry. Frank and Ember, you stay here and tend to Aveleen. Draco and Layla, you'd better come with me."
Phoenicious led Layla and Draco away from the others into a small clearing. Then, he whispered some words in a strange tongue, and a swirling portal opened up right in front of their eyes. Draco and Layla gasped in amazement.
"We don't have much time. Step into the portal," Phoenicious said urgently. Layla, Draco and Phoenicious enetred the swirling vortex, and they were transported back in time.
Draco groaned as his head hit the dirt. Hard. He looked around. He was near the TEA building! But, it was not like the scary TA building they had visited. It was newer. Brighter. He spotted a young girl dancing in the yard in back of the building. She had blonde hair and deep blue eyes.
"TES!" Draco exclaimed. Phoenicious silently shushed him.
As Draco watched he saw TES beckon a girl with black hair over. That must be Layla, Draco thought. Soon, a boy joined young Layla and young TES. That must be me, Draco thought. He almost didn't recognize himself, since before he went to the fire realm, he had brown hair, not fiery red hair.
Draco, Phoenicious and Layla continued to watch the scene play out. "Hey guys!" called young Draco. "Look what I found! A scorion egg!"
-
Noelle C.Participant12
Layla watched as young Draco called out about finding the scorion egg.
" We do this now," Layla said, turning to Draco. They both gave a brisk nod towards each other, and headed towards where the egg was.
" Should I go get a blanket or something?" young Layla asked, her mind going through the small amount of knowledge she had about scorion egg caring.
" Draco, do it now!" Layla hissed to Draco. Draco nodded, and rammed himself into young Draco's body. Young Draco's eyes glazed over.
" I-I think we should leave it alone. If we bring it in, the TEA might test on it. We don't want that. Let's go," Draco explained, looking a little unsure of himself.
" Well, we can't just leave it here!" young Layla wailed.
" Alright. Let's go put it in that-that clearing we sometimes play in," Draco said, and the group hurried off to a small clearing. Layla placed the egg in the shade of a tree.
" We leave it here. And we don't come back until we're sure that it's gone. Alright?" Draco instructed. Layla nodded, and they left. Present Draco slid out of young Draco.
" C'mon. Let's get back home," Draco mumbled, looking pale, and weak. They stepped back through the portal. By now, Phoenicious's skin was half showing. The large dragon sniffed the air. His eyes widened.
" What is it?" Draco asked, a worried look on his face.
" He still lives," Phoenicious said his last words, as he fell to the ground.
If you guys don't want this, then change it up. I thought we should keep this around a little longer, like find a different, harder way to beat the scorion king. If you guys don't like it, then again, change it up! 😀

superhero schoolPhoenicious dissolved into a pile of orange dust and floated through the wind and out of sight. "PHOENICIOUS!" Draco yelled, tears streaming down his face. "You weren't supposed to die for days! The scorion king was supposed to die!
Draco turned on Layla. "This is all your fault!" he screamed at Layla. "We should've just destroyed the egg then and there! But, noooo, you didn't want to hurt another scorion, did you!"
"I'm really sorry Draco," Layla said. "But I don't think you should blame me for everythin-" Layla froze.
"What, what is it?" Draco asked, alarmed.
"Draco, look around you," Layla said. Draco looked. He gasped.
They were not back in the forest clearing. Instead, they were in some wasteland of a city. There were billboards all around that had pictures of the scorion king on them.
"We changed the past," Draco breathed. "Instead of caring for the scorion king, we abandoned it. I thought that would kill it, but I guess living on its own made it stronger. Now we're in some apocalyptic future where the scorion king rules the world."
"We have to go back in time again to set things right!" Layla gasped.
Draco shook his head. "We can't do that without Phoenicious."
"Then what are we going to do?"
"I don't know."

I hope you like the plot twist. This RP is getting pretty intense!

" You can't blame me for not wanting the scorion egg to die! I was a kid remember? It isn't my fault! You were the one who found it in the first place!" Layla suddenly exploded.
" Well guess what? I was a kid, remember?" Draco hissed back. Layla growled in frustration.
" If we can't go back into time, then we have to kill the scorion king here, in the present. Now, I'm off to find the others. With or without you," Layla snarled, and started to walk away, scenting the air for Frank and Aveleen.
" Wait." Layla whirled around, her yellow eyes glaring at Draco.
" How are we supposed to kill him? Let alone find him?" Draco asked, looking helpless, weary, his eyes red from crying.
" I am going to die trying. And if you and the others are going to help me, then we are going to die trying."

Future planeAveleen sorted through the ruins of trash. If she found enough scrap metal, she could sell it to the king when she went back to his academy.
Layla saw her. Layla quickly changed back into human form and raced towards her.
"Aveleen!" Layla yelled.
Aveleen spun around. "How do you know my name? Who are you?"
Layla wondered if she looked different. "It's me! Layla!"
"I don't know a Layla. Are you from the scorion king's academy?"
"Scorion king's academy?"
"Back off."
"What?"
"I said, back off."
Aveleen hurled Layla back with her mind and ran. To tell the truth, she was scared. She hadn't dared show emotion for years. But when Layla ran up, though she couldn't explain it, she'd recognized her.
_________________________________________________________________________
So basically, since Draco and Layla changed the past, Aveleen doesn't know them. Then she somehow gets her memories back. I think Frank should still remember. Oh, and if we want to make it really bizarre, when we fix everything we arrive in our time on the day this story began. Just interesting making!
-
Noelle C.Participant12
I love your idea Brooke!
Layla's eyes widened as Aveleen ran away from her.
She doesn't remember…
" Draco!" Layla screamed out. A faint voice was heard, calling out her name.
" Draco!" Layla screamed even louder, tears starting to fall.
" Layla? Layla! What's wrong?" Draco saw that it was her, and ran towards her.
" Aveleen.. S-she doesn't remember.. We have to find Frank, who we don't even know where he is and if he remembers us. We have to kill the scorion king, who, again, don't even know where to look, and what the hey are we going to do?!" Layla fell down onto her knees.
" C'mon Layla. We gotta go try to find Frank," Draco said, a sad look on his face. Layla shifted, and scented the air.
" This way," Layla murmured, silent tears falling.

Pete the TrollslayerParticipantBuilding moonFrank kneeled at the ruins of the TEA building. He went there every day, since the day the scorion king took away his mother and killed her here. She was the first on he killed. The start of his reign of terror.
Frank got up to leave before he was seen, when he saw something himself. Two kids that he hadn't seen before at the academy. He sped towards them to get a closer look.
(Btw Frank can eventually remember Layla and Draco.)

Curious planeAveleen wondered why the strange girl had cried when she ran off. Was she an old friend of Aveleen's? Aveleen went back over and collided with her friend, Frank. "Sorry, Frank!" she said.

" Oh my gosh! Frank! Frank!" Layla yelled his name twice.
" Who are you two?" Frank asked, bewildered. Layla looked at Draco, and murmured," She said the same thing…"
" What do you want?" Frank asked, standing as if he were preparing for a fight.
" We are your friends. Layla and Draco. We teamed up with each other, thinking we were fighting TEA, a very bad organization. But then we met Edna, she told us lots of things, and then we were off, trying to kill the scorion king. The first one was just a mirage. Then Layla and I went back in time to destroy the scorion king when he was an egg. Growing up by itself made it stronger, and now the future is all wrong!" Draco explained.
" Do you remember any of this?" Layla asked gently. Frank shook his head, eyes wide.
" You have to remember some of it!" Draco cried out.
" I'm sorry. But the scorion king is the ruler of this world. He killed my mother," Frank said bitterly.
" Do you know where he is?" Layla asked him.
" At a clearing, not far from here, is his den. Any who enters, dies. I wouldn't suggest going there," Frank told them.
" The clearing! The clearing where we put the egg!" Layla exclaimed, and they rushed off together, but not before thanking Frank, who started to recognize Draco as a boy who made a candelight move, because kids were going to be taught not to tease him.

superhero school~Well,~ Draco said, ~I guess we have our old team back now that everyone remembers me. But how on earth are we going to defeat the scorion king?~
A young girl ran up to where Draco, Layla, Aveleen and Frank were standing. ~Draco!~ she called. ~What are you doing? You're supposed to be down at the factory!~
Draco was about to tell the girl that she had him confused with someone else, but he looked closer at the girl. She had straw colored hair and sea blue eyes. She looked like TES, but… could it be this was the original TES, Eleanor Sally Taller?
Draco walked closer to the girl. ~Is that you, Eleanor?~ he asked.
Eleanor crossed her arms. ~Of course it's me. I think you'd be able to recongnize your own sister.~
Draco gave a leap of joy. ~I knew it!~ he cried. ~When we changed the past, we somehow prevented the car crash that killed my parents and turned my sister into a robot clone!~
~What's this about changing the past and me being a robot?~ asked Eleanor.
~It's very hard to explain,~ Draco replied. ~But the important thing is that you're safe and my parents are still alive.~
~Well of course they're still alive,~ snorted Eleanor. ~They're in the same place they always are. The scorion king's den! After all, they are his main advisors.~-

Taller planeAaveleen paled. "Not the Tallers. Anyone but them."
"Why?" asked Draco.
"They're out to get everyone. They deal out punishments at the school."

" Ugh! We changed everything! Some of it is good, some of it is bad! You have three people who are alive, but two of them are bad! I'm starting to wish that we never went to change the past… If only we could start over!" Layla hissed angrily.
" We have to kill the scorion king! We have to!" Draco said.
" And we will help you," Frank said. Aveleen and Eleanor nodded.
" Wait a minute… if your the sister, and since that this Draco is your brother, but from the other time, who has come to change everything back… Then where is the Draco from this time? And if there is another Draco… Then where is the me from this time?" Layla's eyes widened, as Draco realized what was going on. His eyes met hers, and he said the one thing that they should've realized by now.
" We messed this up a lot, didn't we?"

" Ready?" she asked him. He nodded.
" Ready."
" Huh. I thought of something," Layla suddenly said.

" You just realized that now?"
" No. I realized it since the beginning of this mess. I would tell myself that everyday. We could've died, since the very beginning."

superhero schoolDraco entered the building. He could tell by the hallways that it used to be the AFUGS, but it had changed drastically. The walls were all steel gray, there were torches everywhere, and there were rows and rows of laboring children, working to produce items for the scorion king. Two figure stood on a platform overseeing everything and everyone, their faces covered by hoods. Draco could tell by the shapes of their bodies that they were not his parents, so who were they?
The overseers removed their hoods, and Draco froze when he saw who they were. It was his Uncle Robert and Aunt Edna.-
Noelle C.Participant12
Layla saw Draco freeze beside her. She followed where his eyes were, and saw. Edna, and the man they first discovered who worked for TEA. Layla swallowed.
" C'mon. Don't look. Keep going," Layla whispered to Draco. He nodded without a word, and on they continued. Suddenly, somebody screamed. Draco and Layla whirled around, their eyes wide.
A girl was on the ground, her arm bleeding as Draco's uncle stood over her. Layla's teeth grew into fangs as she growled.
" Layla," Draco murmured warningly. The girl screamed out again as another wound appeared on her arm. Layla suddenly leaped into the air, and mid-air shifted into a scorion. Everybody started to yell and scream. Layla just stalked forward towards Draco's uncle and the girl, her yellow eyes gleaming like a lion's. Her tail raised, and three spikes out of ten spikes shot out, knocking the uncle over, and pinning him to the ground. He was yelling like crazy for somebody to sound the bell. She looked at the girl and started to help her, but the girl said one thing that froze her whole body.
" Remember who you were."

J.B.EParticipantsuperhero schoolWhen they got out of the factory, Draco shivered, even though it was anything but cold out.
"How can you live like this?" he asked Eleanor. "Children dying every day, the scorion king ruling everything…"
"Why are you acting like you've never been here before?" Eleanor asked.
Draco sighed. "The truth is, I haven't," he admitted. "Layla and I are from an alternate future where the scorion king doesn't rule, and where you are a machine."
Eleanor looked very confused. "But if you're not from here then who…"
Before Eleanor could finish her sentence, two figures walked up, one with black hair, and one with fiery red hair.
"Layla," Draco whispered, "It's us."
Future Draco and Future Layla squinted suspicously. "Eleanor," they said pointing at Draco and Layla, "Dispose of these imposters at once!"-

No, it can't be! You're supposed to be dead! Layla transformed and threw the scorion off. Draco was about to rush at them, when Layla roared at him.
" Don't attack!" Draco stopped in his tracks. The scorion that had attacked Layla had wide eyes.
" Adira?" the scorion asked, his eyes still wide.
" Lieb?" Layla asked back.
" It's you!" the scorion leaped at Layla, his paws going around her.
" Whoa whoa whoa. Is this your boyfriend?" Aveleen asked, looking really confused.
" What?! No! This is my little brother. Lieb," Layla answered.
" Wait, why did he call you Adira?" Draco asked.
" That's my scorion name. Layla's my human name. And Nightmare is what the army calls me," Layla explained, then making a bitter face when talking about the name 'Nightmare.'
" What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be back in Brazil?" Layla asked, turning back to her brother.
" We control this place for the Scorion King," Lieb answered.
" Oh. Well, we need to take him down!" Layla replied.
" Well, we can't let you through…" Lieb trailed off, his eyes flashing with worry, trying to decide what to do.
" Lieb. What does your heart say?" Layla asked softly. Lieb shut his eyes, his body shaking with small growls he would make. He opened his eyes.
" Go. Now. Before the fake you and the fake Draco come!" Lieb shoved Layla down the hallway, where the light started to get darker.
" Thank you Lieb!" Layla called at her brother, before running down the hallway with her companions. Her eyes blinked a few times, as a few tears strayed down as they ran.
" Will you stay with me?" Lieb asked, his big yellow eyes looking up at Adira. She smiled.
" Of course I will. You're my brother. I'll never leave you," Adira replied, as her body curled around her little brother's small, cub body.
Her eyes opened, and she realized that they were getting closer and closer to the den of the Scorion King. Memories flashed like lightning in Layla's head.
" Don't leave me!" her brother wailed as strange men crashed through the forest, picking up small cubs.
" Run, Lieb, run! Don't turn around!" Adira instructed, shoving his small body with her muzzle.
" Wait!" Lieb wailed again. Adira knew what the last words he wanted to say with her.
" By blood, we are binded. By our bond, we love. By our love, we never leave the other." The two scorions said together, one a small cub, the other, growing up to become a lioness one day.
" Now go!" Adira instructed, shoving him once more into the bushes, where they wouldn't find him.
" Don't leave me!" Lieb cried out, as Adira was picked up by a man, and thrown into a box that was on a truck. The memories stopped when the three of them stopped.
" Well, well, well. If it isn't the two who have come to destroy me, and who remember who they are. Why don't we change that, shall we?"

superhero schoolHooray for 10 pages of awesomeness!
Draco felt the scorion king intruding into his mind, trying to steal his memories. Trying to turn him and Layla into some mindless slaves who would serve him forever. "FIGHT IT!" he screamed.
Layla's face paled with strain, fighting the scorion king's intruding voice.
"Going to be difficult, are we?" the scorion king's voice asked. "Maybe you'll obey to save the ones you love?" Suddenly, a pit of spikes opened up just a few yards from where Layla and Draco were standing. Bound by ropes and hanging over the pit were Phoenicious and Lieb. "Go on, untie them!" cackled the scorion king.
Layla started to walk towards her little brother as if in a trance.
"NO!" Draco yelled. "THEY'RE NOT REAL! IT'S JUST AN ILLUSION, HE'S TRYING TO CONTROL YOU!"
"Don't listen to him, Layla," purred the scorion king. "After all, he's just a silly boy who likes dragons. You and I are the same. Exactly the same."
Draco reached into the farthest corners of his mind. Phoenicious, he pleaded. If you can hear me, I need you!
Just like magic, Draco's call was answered. But not by Phoenicious. Three other dragons flew down from the heavens. One aquamarine, one green, and the last silver. The green one flicked his claw at the scorion king's illusion, and it disappeared. Layla snapped out of her trance. We heard you, Draco, the blue dragon said. We've come to avenge our fallen brother. We are the elemental dragons. I am Aquinta, the water dragon. My comrades are Gust, the wind dragon, and Terro, the earth dragon.
"So, Phoenicious was the fire dragon?"
Gust, the silver dragon, nodded. Correct, Draco. And we need to ask you a question that will decide the fate of the world. Would you temporarily replace him?
Draco was taken aback. "You mean- turn into a fire dragon?"
Temporarily. Gust repeated. Please Draco, it's our only hope to defeat the scorion king and avenge Phoenicious.
"Okay. I-I'll do it." Draco said.
Wonderful! exclaimed Terro. The green dragon pointed his claw at Draco, and he immediatly felt himself growing bigger. Scalier. He was a dragon.
"Draco!" gasped Layla. "You look just like…"
"Phoenicious. I know." Draco said. "Now lets go beat that scorion king. Our job just got a whole lot easier."
Just as Layla started to follow the dragons, she heard the scorion king's voice in her head on last time. "You may have four dragons on your side now, Layla," he growled, "But I still have many more tricks up my sleeves."
