I sat on a log around a fire in the middle of silver camp, eating deer meat. Child shadows were sitting as well, huddling close together as I told them the legend. The legend of the silver pack was how in the beginning, the silver queen and the black king were at peace. But when they both discovered an all-powerful relic called the relminaw, the two beings and their kingdoms fell into war. The relminaw wasn't won by either of them. It chose a winner itself. And legend has it, it chose silver. In his rage, the black king stole the relminac. But the relminac, not being held by the true victor, threw itself into darkness, and was never seen again. The silver queen got revenge on the black king, and then vice versa, each battle wearing down the kingdoms into packs, and the two once again fell into war, this time with no relminac to stop it.

I was just getting to the part where the relminac was lost forever, when a silver transformer ran up to the fire. "The black pack!" he yelled. "They're at it again!"
