S.C.C.ParticipantEarthI looked over at the person who had walked up. "I am the current Johto champion, after defeating the weak fool who previously held the title. Regulation states I can't use the same team to defeat the champion of this region. I have six badges in whatever region this is."
(Where is this set, anyway? Kanto? Hoenn? Kalos?)

"Cool!" I chirp. "That's really neat! Anyway, I'm Aemora, but people just call me Mora. I'm a fire-type trainer from the Hoenn region and I have four badges."
I blush, realizing how meager that much must seem to him.-
S.C.C. ParticipantEarth"Nice to meet you. I'm Ender Shade Nocturne the Second. I just go by Ender. Good job on defeating four of the Hoenn leaders. They're some of the tougher Gyms," I responded.

EverywhereI grin. "Thanks. But it's mostly due to my Pokemon. Speaking of which, wanna battle?"
-
S.C.C.ParticipantEarth"Of COURSE! Battle is what me and my Pokemon live for. Bring it on!" I responded.
(Okay. In this battle, I might be using what's known as Mega Evolution. Here's a quick overview. If a Trainer has a Mega item and the Pokemon's corresponding Mega Stone, the Pokemon can Mega Evolve, boosting its stats and giving it a new ability."

EverywhereShe'll use Flareon, Blaziken, and Infernape.
Look, I'm not going to pretend I know the rules of Pokemon battles! Could I please have a quick overview of that?
-
S.C.C.ParticipantEarthOkay. Pokemon battles are hard to explain. Why don't you look it up on Bulbapedia?
-
S.C.C.ParticipantEarthAlright. Each Pokemon has 4 moves it can use. Pokemon can only learn certain moves, not all moves. All Pokemon have an ability which has battle effects. Other than those, it's like a typical RP fight.

"Sweet! Nape, I choose you!"
Infernape bounds out of his Pokeball.
-
S.C.C.ParticipantEarth"Let's do this! Go, Wright!" I yelled. I tossed the Great Ball into the air. My Crobat flew out of it and hovered in the air.
(I'll only use 3 of my Pokemon for this battle. Also, certain types are weak against other types. That's something you'd need to look up, because even I don't know all the type matchups.)

Various placesPoison are strong against grass… I think.
Water are strong against fire.
Rock are strong against electric.
The only types that can face off against psychic are ghost and other psychic.
That is all I know.

EverywhereYou know, I don't think this will work. I mean, all of this extra stuff and blah blah….
Tell you what, let's try to cut it down a bit. For example:
HP: 76
Attacks: Ember, does 40 damage. Scratch, does 40 damage. Fire spin, does 15 damage. Fury swipes, three at a time, does 18 damage each swipe.
Defenses: Fire Shield, blocks up to 18 damage. Strong Arm, blocks up to 15 damage but always deals 3 damage extra.
I based this off Pokemon stats. I thought we could cut it down to simply attack, defenses, and HP. For the sake of roleplaying. No weaknesses or going to sleeps or special abilities or any of that stuff.
Aemora~
"Nape, use Fury Swipes!" I shout.
