Abigail S.Participant11
Nose In a Book@Leaf, Indigo, and Will: Leaf, that is a very good idea. I am horrible at denying people entry. If you would still like to join, you could be one of the people captured or on the "bad" side.
But… that's all please. If you guys don't want to, others can take your spots.

Shadow DragonParticipantWriting NonsenseName: Journey or Hawk is what she goes by, it depends which one.
Age: 22
Kingdom: Silvervale, she lives in one of the major trading cities.
Personality: Quiet, dark, grim, a pessimist, strange sense of humor, loyal to no one except herself, gets along people fairly well just as long they don’t ask too many questions. Slightly insane, can laugh at anything. Thrill-seeker and daredevil; she is afraid of nothing. Ruthless to the weak, but she has a sense of justice, if a slightly twisted justice. She speaks in a low, raspy tone.
Appearance: Slightly curly dark brown hair, going half way down her back, sometimes braided. Her left eye is a grey-blue and her right eye is completely black, no iris, pupil or white. The black eye is blind and kept hidden under a black eye patch. She has a large, sharp nose, an angular face and rough, light skin. She is lean and fairly strong. She wears high, flat black boots, loose brown canvas pants, a shirt of similar color and fabric, fingerless black gloves, a long black trench coat, and a belt or two of knives and such. She has several scars running across her face.
Backstory: She grew up in the streets of a major city, having not known her father or her mother. She kept alive by stealing food and keeping out of everyone’s way, eventually learning to become a hired assassin and make a living that way. A few years ago, she fell into a poisonous plant, stabbing her eye on the thorns, thusly turning it black and making it blind. She always has the feeling that she had forgotten something important, but whatever it was she could never remember. She volunteered to go because she wanted adventure.
Special Skill: Fighting, tracking, blending in and moving silently through her surroundings.
Fighting Skill Level: 8. She’s trained at it, it is after all her job.
Prefered Weapon: Throwing knives, daggers and poison.

Leaf of LoveParticipantName: Ladasha Lilith Black
Age: 12
Kingdom: Shadowpine
Personality: Quiet, always does what her mother says
Appearance: Long, black flowing hair with unrealistic blue eyes. Seems to always be surrounded by a strange blue-purple aura. Her hair flows behind her without any wind, due to her mother. Her smile can reduce a strong hero to tears.
Backstory: Ladasha is the daughter of Melantheia, an evil witch living in Shadowpine. Melantheia controls and breeds the Creatures of Shadowpine. She and her sister Medea used to be princesses living in the Castle of Newland. One day, her father caught Medea playing with Dark Magic, sand Medea was banished from the kingdom. As her best friend, Melantheia followed her. Medea taught her Dark Magic in Shadowpine, before Medea mysteriously disappeared. Melantheia knew her sister's plan to take over Nekaria and decided to carry it out before finding her sister so could rule together. The first part of the plan was to take representatives, preferably children, from each kingdom. She has finally created a spell to do that. In the meantime, the king made the country think they were dead.
Special skill: Doesn't need one.
Fighting skill level: Of course she can beat you without hands! She has magic! And her mother trained her well.
Preferred Weapon: None

IndigoParticipantName: Luiin (Loo-en) Elkin
Age: ten and a half exactly
Kingdom: Wildcrystal
Personality: Luinn's shy and perfers nature and animals over people. She loves playing around with things like leaves and collecting bits of nature. She has a collection of rocks and things she found in the lakes around Klet (her little town). She notices things, lots of little things, and has a very good memory. She loves riddles and likes to keep her mind busy. She likes spending time near the lakes, swimming, exploring, and just having fun.
Appearance: She's got light green eyes that almost border on a grayish blue, and dark hair that reaches past her ears. It's loose, and straight and flows around in kind of locks. She's got tanned skin. She's short and slim and frail looking, but not particularly frail despite her looks.
Backstory: Not much. Her dad's a quiet, kind man who fishes in the lakes for a living, and her mom makes healing mixes out of the herbs that grow in and around the lakes.
Special Skill: She's really sweet, and can charm people into helping her without even really noticing it. She's extremely innocent and looks a lot younger than she is, and just have this air of vulnerbility that makes you feel protective of her.
Fighting Skill Level: 2 and a half. She's not a really good fighter, but she's quick and knows how to handle a bow and arrow, to a small extent.
Prefered Weapon: Bow and arrow. She likes doing target practice sometimes near the lakes, trying to hit fish. She's really bad, and hits the fish about 1 time out of 15 but she's absolutely clueless about all other weapons.
So what's being in captivity like? Who's holding her captive?
-
Abigail S.Participant11
Nose In a BookSo, the people/creatures living Shadowpine are holding her captive. What it's like to be hostage is up to you, however I imagine it's not pleasant. I was thinking sort of a concentration camp but on a much smaller scale. And no gas chambers.

IndigoParticipantOk, thank you. 🙂

Leaf of Love Participant~Ladasha Lilith~"Ladasha! Come here." My mother Melantheia calls me from my room. "I need you to check on the injured Creature.""Yes, Mother. Coming!" I run down the wooden stairs to the kitchen, where my mother is staring at a pot of frothing dark blue liquid on the stove.I grab the key to the cellar from the table."How are the Sisters doing with bringing the prisoners in?" I try to be polite as I push the hair out of my face."One of them was injured trying to knock a captive out. The child was a strong one who punched her in the eye. She'll be back to normal in no time, though.""Okay! That's good." I race down to the basement."Hey Kronos! I'm here to give you your medicine…" I call in a false-cheery voice, even though I know that Creatures don't like to be talked to like that.A growl comes from behind one of the doors."Don't be like that, Kronos." I push open the door. What looks at first glance like a small boy, about maybe nine, sat inside, glaring at me. But look closely, and you'll see he's no small boy. If you looked into his black eyes, you would see flames behind the pupils. And instead of nails on his hands, there are claws. He has a forked tongue, too, so it's hard for him to speak."Do you want to get back to guarding the prisoners or not?"He hisses at me again. Ignoring him, I walk over and take a bandage from his arm. I pour a green potion over the wound. He hisses the whole time I wrap a new bandage around his arm."Kronos, you barely healed at all between today and yesterday. At this rate, you won't be able to be a prison guard like I know you want. And you won't get to join in the battle when the rescuers come." He doesn't seem to believe me."Ladasha Lilith, if he's giving you trouble, remember to smile and show your teeth," my mother calls from upstairs.I really hate baring my teeth. As in, it-makes-me-uncomfortable-and-feel-like-I'm-not-human hate. Still, I obey and grin.At the sight of my teeth, Kronos flinches. I smile again, and he screams."Eeoh!"The scream of a Creature is loud, clear, and short. It rings in your ears for a few minutes, but it doesn't dissipate. It leaves your ears as abruptly as it comes, more like stopping a bell rather than letting it ring out. And force of it hits your face for one second, leaving a stinging feeling like you were outside after a snowstorm."Ladasha Lilith Black, are you done?" My mother sounds impatient.I turn around and push my hair out of the way, as when it flies behind me, it doesn't turn when I turn."Sorry, Kronos. She told me to." I dash back up the wooden stairs like the obedient daughter I am. -
