BluebirdParticipantWhen are we allowed to start posting our entries?
-
Mei-xue (May-shreh)ParticipantWhen the judges post the rules.
-
-
KatydidParticipantRepertoire rules!
1) The theme is "One digit days" Basically something you made 9 and under! If your age is one digit, then choose something made a year.
2) This is to be nostalgic. Tell me a story about when you made it, some cool things that happened. It may effect your judging.
3) The due date is May 14th, and the judging the 15th. I know it's short, but you're looking for old creations, not creating new ones.
4) Make sure your cber signature is somewhere in the picture.

Lap R.ParticipantBA-BLAM!
Middle of NowhereHere are my rules for drawing:
1) Anything goes. Draw whatever you want!
2) You must turn in your art by May 20. I'll post the results on the 23rd.
3) Just in case it's not clear, you must color it. You can use anything except for paint because that's a different category.
4) Have fun!

Mei-xue (May-shreh) ParticipantFairylandI have a request for Sketch:
Can the theme be fashion?
Or anything ancient?
Or ancient fashion?
-
KatydidParticipantPlease no! I'm okay with ancient, but Gandalf I don't just want to focus on clothes! Do whatever though I guess, judghe.

BluebirdParticipantOkay, here's repertoire. (This is pretty much my only drawing that has some type of story, even though my story isn't even that good.)
So. I was around 8-9 years old when I drew this. I had recently read the book One-Handed Catch by Mary Jane Auch, and I was really touched. (I was going through a tomboy stage, I read nothing but sports books that year!) It was about this boy named Norman who loses his right hand in a meat grinder at his father's shop. He loves to play baseball and draw, kind of like me at that age. It's a really good book, and kid friendly, so I absolutely recommend it to you all. Anyways, I wanted to know what it felt like to be missing an arm, so I walked around with my arm tied up for one day, and let me tell you, it was HARD. After that I drew this picture of a girl with a prosthetic arm. That's all. Here you go.

BluebirdParticipantHere's my entry for Drawing! The little piece of paper in the corner is to cover up my signature.
