Icicle~
The next day, we all woke up with the exact same expression on our faces.
Worry.
Winnie, Kit, Brookiera, Abigail and I all walked down to breakfast at the same time. I pushed around at my food. Winnie just pushed her plate away. Brookeira picked up her fork and set it down. Pick it up, set it down. Over and over. Kit scarfed her food and then looked sick. Abigail just sat. Soon enough, we heard the Hogwarts train whistle. I raised my eyebrows. He was that snooty?
We all walked outside as a boy got off the train. He was small, with black hair and blue eyes. His mouth looked like it was always shut and smirking. I knew at once this must be Nahesa.
Nahesa pulled out a suitcase and walked off into Hogwarts, completely ignoring us out there to greet him! Geez, rude or what? We walked back inside. Nothing else for us to do.
Sorry for the short post.

InktailParticipantKit~<btw I am getting ready to try and introduce some more of the secondarys and tertiary sources. Stay tuned!)
I looked outside. It was raining. I groaned.
Abigail, Winnie, Brookeria, Icy and I were sitting in the Ravenclaw common room, waiting to go to Potions. The bell rang for classes, and I ran outside into the hall, ahead of all my friends. I was the first one to sit at the dungeon table. The rest of the Ravenclaws arrived swiftly. The Slytherins were late, I observed. Suddenly, the door banged open, and Slytherin walked in, Nahesa leading them. I shivered. That boy was obviously bad news. As they passed I observed their faces. Nahesa looked smug. Amadala looked sick. Richie looked worried. Meixue looked nonchalant, with a side order of worry. The rest….well, looked the same as always. They sat.
Meixue weaseled herself next to me. "Hi!" She said cheerfully. I looked at her warily. Despite popular belief, I still believed in the 'old wives tale' that Slytherin students were evil. Thankfully, I was saved from having to speak as Snape banged into the room.
Meixue looked disappointed I hadn't spoken to her, and she sadly pulled out her notebook. Snaps was much older now, but he sure didn't look it. He looked as evil as ever. He smirked at Nahesa, then did his traditional opening.
Brew fame, stopper death, blah blah blah. I zoned out slightly, while still looking focused, a hard feat to master. I snapped to when he paused.
"Miss Li." He said, looking right at Meixue.
"What is the difference between monkshood and wolfsbane?" He asked slyly.
Meixue brightened immediently. "I know this! They are the same plant, that also goes by the name of aconite."
Snape didn't falter. "And what would you add to a Polyjuice potion?"
Neither did Meixue. "Leeches, Powdered Bicorn Horn, Lacewing flies, Knotgrass, Fluxweed, Shreaded Boomslang skin and a bit of the person you want to become." She counted them off on her fingers.
Snape looked mildly impressed. "Alright." He said. Meixue glowed. Compliments from Snape were few and far between. But then I winced as her face fell and Snape said coldly, "A point from Slytherin for your cheek."
He continued with the class but I could barely hear him. Meixue was almost crying. Finally, I couldn't stand it anymore. I stood up and raised my hand high. He immediently pounced. Perfect.
"Miss Neitho?"(sry I made up a last name….)
"Professor, I don't see why you were so hard on this girl!" I motioned to Meixue. "All she did was answer your questions, and correctly I might add."
Meixue sniffled and looked up at me. Snape held up his hand, but I ignored him, and continued. "She grew up in a Muggle household.(sry if this isn't what you planned.) Do you think Muggles just leave Hogwarts spell books lying around? No! Do you know how hard she studied to get in?"
Snape looked at a loss for words. "I-"
"I said," I growled. "DO. YOU. KNOW. HOW. HARD. MISS LI. WORKED!?!?!?"
I knew I had gone too far, but I honestly didn't care. Finally, Snape regained his composure. "Fifteen points from Ravenclaw. And I should be taking more, but dentition will take its place."
"Fine," I shot back. "But don't ignore Meixue anymore. Deal?"
Snape turned cold. "Young lady. I do not make deals with people. Especially not over matters like that. Kindly sit down and copy your homework. Or else much worse things will happen."
I didn't see how it could get any worse, but I sat. Winnie and Brookeria silently applauded me when Snape's back was turned, and Icicle pumped a fist. I glanced over to the Slytherin side of the table. Most of their jaws were hanging open. Meixue was looking at me in awe.
I still don't know why I did it. But I just had to. It felt right.

InktailParticipantWinnie~
After Kit's…..outburst….in Potions, she was reluctant to come watch me at Quidditch. But eventually she did, and I flew around. I was the best Seeker Ravenclaw had had in a long time, and it was fun. I came down after to Kit and she slapped politely.
"We have a game…..two days." I panted, out of breath from my fancy maneuvers.
"Cool. I'll be there. Can we go back to the common room now?" She pleaded. I consented, and we headed off. Suddenly, Kit stopped dead in the hallway.
"My detention with Snape!" She cried, distraught. "I Completley forgot it!!!!"
"Oh no!" I said. "Let's go to the common room so I can drop off my broom, and then we can go to the dungeon. You still have ten minutes and, staircases forbid, we should get there quickly." Kit nodded, and we ran up the stairs to the dorms. We solved the riddle quickly and I threw my broom on the rug. It landed with a soft thump. Everyone else was upstairs, getting ready for bed. We shut the door softly and ran back down the hallway. As we got into the Stair Central, as I called it, Kit, who was ahead of me, groaned.
"Moving?" I grimaced. She nodded. "Ugh!" I exclaimed. Quickly, I pushed past.
"C'mon." I said. "I know a shortcut."
We ran down the third floor hall, past the Room of Requirment. As we past it though, I noticed something funny.
The door was there.
I opened it. It led to the actual Room of Requirement. I stared. Kit gasped.
"What's wrong with it?" She asked.
"I dunno." I replied. We walked fully inside, the detention completely forgotten. Standing in the middle of the room, I tried to work out why this was happening.
"Hello?" Kit called softly. Her voice echoed, but there was no reply. Suddenly, swift footsteps entered the room, and the door creaked open more. A laugh echoed in the room. I didn't have to turn around to know who that was.
Nahesa.
"Nahesa." I growled. We spun around. He was facing us, wand out.
"Yes." He said.
"What do you have against us?" Kit asked calmly, facing the door.
"It's not you. It's Hogwarts. Too many bad memories. Must destroy. Therefore, I must destroy everyone in it as well."
I gasped in shock. I felt frozen. "Petrifus totalus!" Probably because I was. Kit whimpered behind me, but she couldn't move. I hoped with all my heart that, whatever attack Nahesa was planning, I hid her from the brunt of it.
Nahesa smiled cruely. "Say goodbye." He whispered.
"Crucio!" A green blast hit me square in the chest. I screamed, but I made no noise. Pain tingled down my ribs. And then it was gone.
My ears were ringing. I couldn't hear anything. Nahesa was laughing. The sound of the world slowly came into range.
"Avada Kedavra!" He cried viciously. A yellow blast shot out of his wand, getting ready to hit me. I braced myself but…..nothing happened. I heard a tiny yelp, and something fell on my feet. I opened my eyes.
Meixue was lying on the ground. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. Nahesa looked worried, and he fled the room. A silent tear fell down my cheek.
I could not believe this was happening. Our second day at Hogwarts, and already someone was dead. Then Snape burst into the room. He took in our surroundings and immediently said the counter-curse.
I knelt as soon as I could and felt Meixue. I knew there was no hope, but it comforted me, a little. Kit ignored Snape, as did I, and kneeled by me.
"She died saving us." Kit whispered. I couldn't speak. My eyes were filled with tears. I few minutes later, the Ravenclaw prefect, Wanda, and the Slytherin prefect, Molly, burst in. They both cried out.
I don't know what happened then, really. I remembered sticking my hand into Meixue's pocket and pulling out a note, addressed to Kit and me. I knew it was wrong to snoop, but I had to. I hid the note in my pocket. I remembered Wanda taking us back to the Ravenclaw dorm. I remember saying little on the way. I remember getting into the dorm and Brookeria, Icicle and Abigail hugging us. I remember sleeping fitfully. And I remember reading the note before bed. It made me and Kit cry.
I already missed her.
(The note read: Dear Winnie Rivers and Kit N.
Kit, thank you for sticking up for me in Potions. I really appreciated it. Not many of the Houses trust Slytherins, so I am glad you did.
Winnie, I don't know how I know, but I feel something awful will happen to you. I am coming to find you so I might prevent it.
If you are reading this, I hope you understand the message.
Thank you.
Sincerly,
Meixue Li, First Year, Slytherin Common Room, Hogwarts, England.

Inktail ParticipantBrookeria~
The silks in the Great Hall were blackened. The whole school knew about Meixue's heroic death. The other night in the dorm, Kit and Winnie had come upstairs almost in tears. I had heard the news from Wanda, and hugged them both tightly. I still couldn't believe it had happened.
Winnie sniffles at the breakfast table. She gasped as something sank in. "My Quidditch match! It's today!!"
I looked at her worried. "Against who?"
"Sly-Slytherin!!!!"
I gulped hard. "Is Nahesa on the team? No…he couldn't be!"
But Winnie nodded. "First first year on the team in a decade. And he's Seeker!!!" I gasped and reached across the table, hand out sympathictically. She didn't take it, just stared into her food.
I retracted my hand.
Later that night, I decided to go to the game. Kit, Abigail and Icy followed me, followed by the Slytherins. Hufflepuff's and Gryffindor's entreed last, since they weren't playing.
I watched as Winnie and her team walked onto the field. She narrowed her eyes as Nahesa walked out, followed by his team.
"You can do it," I heard Kit mutter next to me.
The team leaders shook hands, then the Quaffle was released, followed by the Bludgers, and then the Golden Snitch. I hoped with all my heart Winnie saw it dash off. She did, but didn't follow it.
Ravenclaw scored, then Slytherin. Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Slytherin. I never took my eyes off of Winnie the whole time.
About halfway through the game, I saw the Snitch zoom right past Winnie. She sped after it. Nahesa saw her and caught up easily. I saw him whispering something, and Winnie looked scared.
"A spell!" AbigaIL cried next to me. As the pair zoomed over the stadums, I saw Winnie lose her grip on her broom. I yelled out.
"Careful!" She grabbed the handle and swung back on. Everyone was watching the Seekers. Game play had stopped on the field, and both teams were hovering, watching them.
The Snitch fought desperately, and just managed to avoid Winnie's grasp. I groaned.

Inktail ParticipantIcicle~
I watched as the pair of Seekers zoomed over the crowd again. Suddenly, Winnie put on a burst of speed as Nahesa turned to the crowd. A yellow bolt hit the stands at my feet, and I screamed. Loudly.
Kit and Brookeria stood up, and Ravencaw's followed them out of the stands. Slytherin followed our lead, as did Gryffindor. But Hufflepuff waited. Most of them, anyway. I waited as well,to see what would happen. As they swooped over the stands yet again, I saw Nahesa's face. He looked angered. As they swept over the Hufflepuff area, he shot another yellow bolt into the crowd. Someone screamed, and Hufflepuff's scattered. I ran into the Hufflepuff mayhem. There was a girl lying on the floor. I immediately recognized Voldemort's favorite curse.
"Avada Kedavra." I whispered. I looked over the girl to see who it was. Brown hair, glasses…..Looked like Melody Strate. The only way I knew her was from Transfiguration. She was my desk partner. I sighed, tears running down my cheeks.
When would this killing spree end???

InktailParticipantKit~
Soon after I left the stands, I heard a scream from the Hufflepuff section. I caught a glimpse of blue hair sprinting towards the source of the scream.
Icy.
I gasped. "Someone screamed, Icy's going." Abigail ran into the stands. I waited nervously. Through the cracks in the wood, I could see Winnie gritting her teeth, reaching out desperately for the Snitch.
Abigail ran back, Icy in tow. Icy had been crying.
"Who?" Brookeria asked, her voice low.
"Melody. Melody Strate." Icy replied, her voice choked. I heard a sickning thud, and I turned back to my crack. Winnie was lying on the ground, and Nahesa was about to land. I screamed and ran back into the stands just as Winnie sat up.
"Winnie!" I cried. Brookeria held me back as I struggled against her arms. Winnie held up the Snitch in a closed fist, grinning proudly. She sported two missing front teeth. Nahesa stomped off the field in a huff.
"Ravenclaw wins!!!!!!" The announcer cried.
