I'll just post. It's been days, and if I don't get a post in now I might not get a chance to until next Saturday (the 17th). Sorry if I get this wrong.
~Jazia~
Is it just us Gliacons, or is it unbearably hot in the Spiral Garden?
A servant refills my glass with fresh lemon water and ice. I down a third of it in one go, relishing the way the aggressively cold liquid sends a chill radiating out through my body, a counter to the uncomfortable warmth. My mother, sitting next to me, makes a discontented noise in her throat. I don't have to be a whisper to know what she's thinking: Propriety, Jazia. Tsk, tsk.
I sigh, set my glass down on the table, and sit up a little straighter. Propriety indeed. Much as I would rather be somewhere cooler, or better yet, be training with Aunt Sonya somewhere cooler, this may well be the biggest day of my life. I can afford no lapses in watchfulness, no cracks in my facade of icy indifference.
I follow my father's lead, staring around at all the other families in boxes around the arena. Though the Spiral Garden is too wide for me to see actual faces, I can tell who's who by the colors of their clothing: black for Haven, slate-blue and gray for Macanthos, midnight blue for Skonos, brown and crimson for Rhambos…and, at the far corner of my vision, in the box next to the royal one, navy blue and white. Merandus.
Even from here, I can see the ash blonde of her hair, almost glittering in the sunlight. That's her: Adelina Merandus, the favorite to win. I wonder if she can see my hair, red-brown like fire against my family's tapestry of snow-white and silver silks. Even thinking about fire makes me feel hot again; I take a much more controlled sip of ice water, looking for some respite even as my face betrays no evidence of my discomfort.
The easy susurration of chatter all around the Garden stills instantly. Speaking of fire…
"Silvers!" King Tiberias Calore VII is the very picture of majesty, standing resplendent in a military-style uniform of jet black and scarlet, the crown like a twist of burning iron on his brow. Queen Evangeline stands beside him, her dress as usual a complex and glittering construction of thousands of tiny metal knives. Their son, the Crown Prince, stands at attention between them, like a slightly shorter, silver-haired version of his father. Every one of them the very picture of strength and power. Despite the drink of water I took mere seconds ago, my mouth goes dry.
"We have gathered here today to observe the sacred rite of Queenstrial," the King booms in his sonorous tenor. What little noise there had been, rustles of silk and quiet servants' footsteps, goes absolutely dead. The King turns his head, surveying the silent crowd; I almost fancy his eyes rake over me, sending a chill down my spine that has nothing to do with the temperature. He raises his hands and almost shouts, "Who will claim Queenstrial?"
"I claim Queenstrial!" Damian Merandus, the late Queen Elara's younger brother and the current head of House Merandus, Adelina's grandfather, is the first to speak, naturally.
"I claim Queenstrial!" "I claim Queenstrial!" Tarsus Provos (my maternal great-uncle) and Chalcedon Osanos (my third cousin twice removed, or some such distant relation) are next. House Samos remains silent, ineligible as they are with a Samos queen currently on the throne.
"I claim Queenstrial!" Jothyr Rhambos shouts next, but Argentus Gliacon, my father, is not to be outdone. He shouts his claim milliseconds before Ivas Lerolan, and by then the floodgates have opened. Every house in the Garden claims Queenstrial (save for Samos, of course). The arena rings with shouts, until I'm sure even the Marinos banshees in their yellow and gray-draped box would like to cover their ears.
I would, too. But the daughter of a Nortan High House, poised to go into the competition that could see her become a princess, does not have that option.
There will be no shows of weakness here.
As the shouts die down, my mother places her hand a few inches closer to me on the table and my uncle Albus shifts in his seat. It's time.
Smoothly, gracefully, I rise from my seat, walking down into the bowels of the Spiral Garden, along a path I've never trod before but yet know by heart from Aunt Sonya's many descriptions. The other girls in the waiting area don't talk to me, hardly even look at me. They're concentrating too hard on looking strong and powerful, indifferent to everyone else and to their own nerves. Calculating. Emotionless. Cold.
Adelina Merandus happens to catch my eye, and I give her the tiniest of smirks.
After all, no one does cold like a shiver.

September ParticipantSorry. . I didn't get time to post first, so I'll just build off of Curio's post. .
Adelina~
I move through the Hall of the Sun, with an air of confidence and grace meant to intimidate the weak Red maids that mull in and out of the hallways. They may not know it, but I can see every one of their little, worthless thoughts of rebellion and freedom.
A few of the Houses are already seated, the Havens, and Gliacons; Rhambos and Macanthos. I turn to glare each one of the girls who are obviously participating in the Queenstrial. Let them squirm under my stare. The stare of a queen. My technique is nearly perfect; nearly as good as my ancestor Elara Merandus, the whisper of whispers. But I choose to let them feel me, let the Rhambos girl feel the icy cold as I read her nervous thoughts.
I turn my attention to the Gliacon girl, with a flame of red hair against the silver and white of House Gliacon. Perhaps she would make a good lady-in-waiting. Or perhaps she is my only competition. Her calm face betrays no sign that she is nervous under my stare.
“Silvers!” King Tiberias Calore VII breaks my thoughts, and I immediately turn to face him, glimpsing the tiniest smile. I smile to myself. It’s reassuring to know that I am the favorite to win. I turn my attention to the Queen, dressed in her usual extravagant dresses. Her Queenstrial gown is an elegant construction of thousands of glittering knives. The Crown Prince Tiberias stands in between his parents, stiff, calm, and powerful.
“We have gathered here today to observe the sacred rite of Queenstrial,” the King booms. He stares at everyone of his subjects, and I can practically feel the tension radiating off of them. None want to be the one to displease their king.
The king raises his arms and shouts, “Who will claim Queenstrial?”
My grandfather, the head of House Merandus is the first to speak.
“I claim Queenstrial!”
“I claim Queenstrial!” Tarsus Provos speaks next, and Chalcedon Osanos immediately follows.
“I claim Queenstrial!”
“I claim Queenstrial!” shouts Jothyr Rhambos, and Argentus Gliacon follows.
“I claim Queenstrial!” The arena rings with claims of the Queenstrial from each house until the only house to remain silent is Samos, ineligible because of the Samos queen on the throne.
The echoes slowly die out, and I pick up my skirts and walk to the waiting area as other girls quickly realize what they’re supposed to be doing. I catch the eye of the Gliacon girl and she smirks at me. The nerve of that girl.

I'll post Marietta later. . . in the meantime, TOP!

Um, what, yeah, hi? Okay, I'm here. Sooo, I guess I'll have my charrie starting off discovering that she's a Newblood, because nothing's happening with the Scarlet Guard. Take it away, Serena.*Okay* Charries can talk to me? WHAT? What is happening here? Okay, whatever, let's just finally get this post started. *Takes deep breath, which is kind of stupid because this will obviously be short- that's me!*
Oh, I almost forgot! Serena has meteors as a power along with space. And, since she's OP, she can only turn off stars, the sun, and the moon. I'm going to start now.
Serena List~
"Hey Mom, You can talk to?"
"Sure, Serena."
"Um, I've been wondering something … Well, sometimes, Uh, the STARS have been Coming Out and back. Sometimes little STARS or meteors Are appearing in My hands. Mom, am I Going crazy?"
"No, sweetie. You Are Newblood. You have the power of Space."
She goes on to explain all of my powers.
"Okay, There You have it. In Norta, people hate You. Honey, please go not There."
A FEW WEEKS LATER
"Mom, I've joined the Scarlet Guard. I'm moving to Norta."
———————————————————————————————
As you can see, she and her mom talk and type with an accent that capitalizes random letters.
DISCLAIMER: I translated everything I typed into a different language then back for the accents. In the books, Lakelanders don't have accents, but I thought that this would be fun. 🙂 Bye! Reporter out!

Impunity JaneParticipantNortaYou guys have already started rping, but 15 people haven't joined, so I'm making a character. If you think you gone to far for someone new too join, say so and I'll leave.
Name:Amelinda WispGender: GirlRole: I've lived in a crowded city in Norta my whole life. Once I realized I was a newblood, I turned into a robin hood sort of person. After I heard of the scarlet guard, I left my city to join them.Blood Type: NewbloodHouse or Scarlet Guard: Scarlet GuardPower: Like Titanos, except I can turn things into a time bomb, instead of just blowing things up on contact.Appearance: Long red curly hair. Tall. Green eyes.Personality: Quiet. Nice. Can be sarcastic to my friends. Not popular, I just have a few close friends.Other: September, can you make a picture of me? I normaly wear black boot cut jeans and a green top. Sometimes a brown jacket as well. Thank you! -
Impunity JaneParticipantNortaSo this takes place about two weeks before the Queenstrial. I have never read Red Queen, so if I mess something up, tell me.
-Amelinda-
I open up the door I was pointed to. Why does the leader of the Scarlet Guard want to talk to just me? (I have no idea what his name is. I'm going to call him SG so I'll have a name. Can someone tell me what his name really is?)
"Ah, Amelinda your here." SG says.
"As far as I know." My reply makes him give me a look. He quickly get back to the point though.
"Anyway, as you know, the Queenstrial takes place in two weeks. Anything could happen during it. Our plan is to have you and a few other newbloods there just in case. We've arranged for you to take on a job as a maid, hich will allow you to go all over. You will be working with Marietta Elkwind."
"I'm a newblood, and could blow up the whole city if I wanted to, and you want me to be a maid."
"Yes." He's daring me to challenge him.
"Cool. I'm down with that. When do I start?"
"Soon enough that you should start packing."
"Then I'll be off."
"Amelinda, wait. I called you here by your self because you have you own task. Whatever you do, Adelina Merandus must not take the throne."
"Sir yes Sir."
TWO WEEKS LATER
Sweeping is so boring! I've been sweeping for ages, and ther's still more to do! Ha! done this room. Next room now. This is the hallway the maybe queens to be will walk down. My job ought to be easy. I sweep it quickly, putting my plan into action. Done.
Adelina walks down the hall as I peek out from another room. Time to test my plan. Now! I think. She stumbles. Well who wouldn't stumble when some of the dust I put on the floor blows up under your foot? Let's see how well she does now.

Impunity JaneParticipantI'm sorry guys, I'm bad at writing and typing. THERE WERE SO MANY TYPOS! I'm really sorry.

September ParticipantIt's perfectly fine! And the leader of the Scarlet Guard is Captain Farley, who's a girl.

September Participant@Impunity Jane,
I changed the plot the slightest bit. You won't be on a solo mission to stop Adelina, 'kay? You're going to help Marietta sneak the Scarlet Guard into the palace during Queenstrial instead.
Marietta~
“Captain, you asked to see me?” I poke my head in through Captain Farley’s office door.
“Ah, yes, Marietta. I have an assignment for you.” She winks. “We still need our regular undercover agents around here.” I immediately know what she’s talking about. Newbloods have been flooding in from all provinces, each one more powerful than the last. The newest, Serena List from the Lakelands can literally make stars. “You’ll be working with Amelinda Wisp in the Hall of the Sun until Queenstrial. From there, you’ll sneak us in to the event.” I gulp, knowing that this mission is the big break we’ve all been waiting for. One slip could destroy us all. “And you’ll have to be on your guard. Adelina Merandus will be there.” I shiver, thinking of Elara Merandus, the whisper who almost destroyed us once. “You leave immediately.”

Keeps a-dreaming ages onBecause I can't really do anything on the Scarlet Guard, can I come on this trip? If I can, I am going to post something below. If not, ignore it.
I go the office of Captain Farley.
"You want see me"
"Yes. You will go to the Hall of the Sun as the daughter of a Lakelander ambassador to go and see Queenstrial. You will be going with two girls who are undercover as maids, Marietta and Amelinda. Learn MORE in this envelope ."
She give me the envelope and I take it.
"Thank you." -
