SeptemberParticipantMarietta~The Hall of the Sun is teeming with people. Not just Red servants, but Silvers and Sentinels, making sure that every inch of the Spiral Garden is perfect for the High Houses and the royal family. My stomach clenches suddenly, thinking of the plan ahead.Serena will attend the proceedings disguised as a Lakelander. She is one, after all. Amelinda will be the distraction. With her powers, she can blow a hole in the garden just as easily as I can snap my fingers. And me? Hopefully Serena and Amelinda will draw enough attention to the garden—away from the Hall, where I’ll sneak the Guard in.Suddenly a silence falls over the Hall, and all of the Reds shrink back near the walls. They’re here. I peek down the hallway to see which Houses are arriving.First comes the Gliacons, turning the ground to frost with each step. I shiver, despite the warm sunshine that breaks through the windows. The girl next to me gasps suddenly, and I see the next family. Merandus. The most dangerous house yet. Immediately, I blank my mind, thinking of nothing but work, work, work. I feel Adelina’s gaze pass over me, and at the same time, a chill in my head. She’s sifting through my thoughts. I can feel her, glancing at my chores, my hopes, my dreams. I can only stand, silent, only hoping that she won’t find what matters most.Thankfully, she moves on, casting a disinterested glance at me. I let out a sigh of relief. Now I can only hope that Amelinda hides her thoughts as well as I do. -
September ParticipantAdelina~Before. . .House Gliacon enters the Hall a split second before we do.“Not to worry, dear Adelina,” Grandfather whispers in my mind. “The Gliacon girl will not win the throne by being early.” He chuckles at the thought.I nod, and we enter the Hall of the Sun. The Gliacons have turned the floor to ice, a futile attempt at displaying their power. We walk through the Halls, with no need to show off. A hush immediately falls over the servants, and they know what we can do. I pass over minds, making sure they feel my cold touch, and stop at one in particular. The girl is unremarkable, with mousy brown hair and hazel eyes, but when I passed over her, she blanked her mind. What does she have to hide? I sift through her thoughts, finding nothing important, and eventually move on. I’ll deal with her later. We continue down the Hall, until we reach the Spiral Garden when a cloud of dust explodes beneath my feet. I stumble suddenly, regaining my poise, and turn to glare at the smirking servant girl. I’ll deal with her too.-
Impunity JaneParticipantSeptember, it would have just felt like the ground under your foot jumped. I didn't put a lot of dust because it would have been seen. But calling me a "smirking servant girl" is the best description I've heard in a while. 🙂

EllesmeraI don't really know what to do anymore. September, can you please keep the mission going a bit more? Then, I'll probably get the feel and start writing.-
CurioParticipantYeah…I don't want to mess up the Scarlet Guard side of things by writing Queenstrial and then having something big and catastrophic happen the wrong way. I'd rather have someone with a Guard charrie at least detail their plan first.
