The Agent ParticipantToday is yesterday's tomorrow, therefore yesterday is today and I did not skip a day.
File 4
"And then…welll…The Agent hung up," Tonia said, finishing a word-by-word account of her conversation with The Agent.
"Very interesting, my dear Watson, what do you think?" said Daisy to Rose bud.
"Ah, highly intriguing Dr., what do you think?" Said Rose bud to Bolton, quickly passing on the responsibility of answering. Sam, who had never read Sherlock Holmes, stared at the girls with a confused expression. Then Bolton surprised everyone by saying:
"Ah, Irene Alder, you have tricked me again!" Jarren sighed and played with the pencil in his hands. Tonia, who was never much of a reader, was actually enjoying herself, although she couldn't really join in the conversation.
"Ahem," Kestrel cut in, "we all love Sherlock Holmes, me included, but we've got a case to work on!"
Embarresed, Rose bud replied, "Oh, right."
"So…" Kestrel began.
"So…." Daisy continued.
"So what?" Sam broke in, "I don't know anything about hermonicas. Now if the clue was 'horses' then maybe."
"Horses?" Argued Bolton, "horses? You think horses are better than hermonicas?" Sam stared daggers at Bolton. Daisy sighed. Rose bud rolled her eyes.
"Now wait…" Tonia started, but then pandemonium broke loose as the boys began to argue and Puck tried her best to encourage them, although no one was exactly sure whether the poppits she kept explodeing had anything to do with anything. And then the doorbell rang. Again. Jarren leapt up to answer it, but it opened of its own accord. Or rather, someone opened it.
"Pardon me for listening in (your window was open), but I think I've solved the case. Or rather, the clue," announced a new voice.

Hmm. I'lthink this one through. It's possible we may need to go to a theater. Or theatre. They normally have them there.
I also have a few ideas for what it might be…

File 5
"Allow me to continue," said the newcomer, "I hope I haven't interupted anything." A few quick nods from her audience assured her that no, indeed, she hadn't interupted anything…important. Everyone was curious as to who this new detective could be. She remained hidden beneath the hood of a black coat, and stood partially hidden by the open door's shadow.
"The only clue is 'harmonica,' you say? As soon as I overhead this, I began searching for clues. And I found one. Or, more accurately, my co-worker found a helpful clue." In through the door stepped a shorter figure, also hidden under a coat and clutching a notepad, magnifying glass, and peice of paper. The latter was held up so that everyone sitting around Tonia and Jarren's kitchen table could read it.
Reed River Park Festival!
Join us for a night of fun at the Reed River and surrounding park. Live Bluegrass music, nature walks, and more provide the perfect entertainment for the whole family!
Beneath the advertisement was a picture of a young girl playing a harmonica while petting a deer.
"Wow," Tonia murmmered before clearing her throat and speaking to the group, "this is definitely worth checking out! We need to research this festival." Everyone whipped out their cell phones and began googling. The two new detectives nodded to each other, then the shorter one beckoned to the outside, as if to say to someone "hurry up, we're waiting!" Within seconds, a third head poked through the doorway.
"Hey! Having a little trouble setting up my equipment, but I'll bring the supercomputer in a few minutes. Currently, I'm trying to download all information about harmonicas, Bluegrass festivals, and Reed River from my Russian Satillite. I'll be right back!" She called, and then scooted back out.
"Wait…" Jarren said, just now catching on, "Russian satellite?" Meanwhile, the wheels were turning in Kestrel's head. A trio of detectives…black jackets…Russian Satillite… then she had it.
"Dudelhiemer! Tuxedo Kitten!" She exclaimed. Instantly, the two detectives threw off their hoods. Tux adjusted her trademark kitten ears.
"And Starbringer must be outside working with her gadgets," Kestrel concluded.
"Amazing!" Daisy exclaimed, "the last I heard of The Extreme Deduction Trio, you were working on a case in Alaska! Something about…lemming-related world denomination?"
"Every world demonination is lemming-related," corrected Dudelhiemer. Suddenly, a shout from outside bursted against everyone's eardrums as shouts tend to do.
"I've got it! Reed River…wow…" Starbringer trailed off. Everyone was sitting on the edges of their seats by now (except Rose bud, who had leaned so far over that she fell onto the floor), but they never got to hear Starbringer's amazing revelation because at that exact moment, the freezer door opened.
"Hello! Is this the Letters' house?" Questioned a cheery voice.

Jarred wondered if he was hallucinating. He looked over at Tonia, who was taking this very well.
"Yes—hi! I'm Tonia Letter!" She exclaimed. In responce, the freezer door opened the rest of the way and a short girl stepped out, daintily shutting the door behind her. Looking up, she met everyone's eyes with a shy smile.
"Oh good, I was afraid I'd end up Knockturn-alleying it again. Freezer travel has its…um…downsides!" Flipping her short dutch braid from side to side with a quick jerk of her head, the freezer-girl continued. "Hi, I'm Icy." Jarren's mouth opened before he could think.
"How did you get in the freezer?" Under the table, something hard (the heel of a pink and blue athletic tenniss shoe) slammed onto his foot.
"Ow! Tonia, what the—" Then he stopped. His bossy younger sister was trying to keep him in line again. Putting his chin on the kitchen table, he silently awaited Icy's answer.
"Freezer travel, you know," she replied, pointing to a large, ice-blue ring on her hand.
"But isn't that…impossible?" Jarren countered, "I mean, didn't Einstien or George Washington or Homer prove that portalling can't happen?" Somehow, it didn't seem right to put George Washington with Einstien and Homer (or was it Homely?). Maybe he should pay more attention in school.
"Well, ice melts and turns into water, which turns into steam, which can move places! So freezer travel is highly scientific," Icy explained. Her arctic-sea blue eyes roved across the faces of the people sitting around the table. Eagerly, Rose bud patted the seat next to her.
"So, back to the topic of the case…" Kestrel began.
"What case?" Asked Icy. Preparing to tell the whole story, again, Tonia sighed. However, a sudden explosion rocked the house. The had forgotten about Starbringer and her satellite!
"Star? Are you okay?" Dudelhiemer called out the open (and pie-covered) window. There was no anwer. Tonia would have been concerened about her yard (her mother would be home in less than 30 minutes), if she was not more concerened about Star. Stuck in the back of the sudden scramble, Puck and Kestrel were shoved next to each other. The latter looked at Puck with extreme suspicion.
"What?" Puck hissed, "I was in here!" Tuxedo Kitten forced her way out of the door first. Starbringer was sitting in the grass, stunned, staring at a pile of singed technology.
"Well," she said slowly, adjusting her glasses, "that happened."
"You all right?" Questioned Dudelhiemer, coming up behind Tux.
"Yep. I've got a backup remote in the van," Star said, pushing herself up off the ground, "But I found out the orginization that is putting on the festival tonight. It's called: The Absolutely Grounded Nature Troupe."
"A-G-N-T…" Kestrel spelled out.
"Agent!" Yelled out Daisy (who then blushed). That mysterious "The Agent" again!
