flowing yonderNot really recommending anything, just sharing…I listen to a broad range of music, including some pop. I am particularly fond of songs that tell stories. The lyrics don't necessarily have to be elaborate, but the simpler the lyrics are, the more important word choice and the accompanying music is for me. And I have to like both the music and the lyrics. There are songs where I love the music, but there's just something about the lyrics that I don't particularly like — and I'm not referring to coarse language here which I'm fine with — and I find that I just can't listen to those songs. Same is true for the reverse. As to what I've been listening to, I'm feeling out of sorts lately so the songs I've been listening to are a mix bag, some uplifting and others less so.
REGINA SPEKTOR: Remember Us to Life (album)
BECK: The Information (album), Sea Change (album), and Morning Phase (album). The last two are not for the sleep deprived. They are really mellow in sound if not in content and may put you to sleep if you are overly tired to begin with.
NICK DRAKE: Pink Moon (album) and Five Leaves Left (album). "Place to Be" in particular is sort of stuck in my head right now.
SARA BAREILLES: Blessed Unrest (album).
FLORIST: I'm not really familiar with all of the music from this band, but I love their "Cool and Refreshing" song. It's a fairly short reflective song which sort of goes with my mood right now.-
Rose budParticipantI just listened to Non-stop, and promptly started it over, literally yelling "AND ALEXANDER WROTE THE OTHER 51!!!" To the strange looks of my family 🙂

Rose budParticipantOops, meant Hamilton not Alexander 🙂

The RiddlerParticipantHmmm… I think you guys already know that I like Hamilton. Other bands/people that I like:
Twenty One Pilots
Coldplay
Regina Spektor
I also like Riptide and Renegades (I get the artists mixed up)
(Agh I can't think of many right now becaue I haven't to listened to much of anything besides Hamilton for so long.)
(Also because I am watching the election.)
(Whatever.)
