The HunterParticipantSorry for the delay. I will try to post tonight. Thanks for your patience!
-
Space age top!Participant -
The HunterParticipant@Brookeira.
Since you're a little late for the start(I totally understand that, a procrastinator myself), I think your characters will come in later in the story.
-
The HunterParticipantSuper sorry for the wait! Will try to do this tomorrow afternoon/evening but no later than this weekend. Thanks for your patience!
-
The HunterParticipantAHH ok so again, really sorry for the delay, but a date has been chosen! The mystery will begin: Dec. 2-3! Don't be late-or else… Yes, that was really corny. But seriously, don't be late! you will be given puzzles and codes to dig through, trying to escape this house of nightmares. You will have to trust your wit-and each other. Or can you? Get ready for… The Hunt!
(When the puzzles are given, I'll let you know and you will have to figure some of them out. But otherwhise, please do not post your own parts of the story. Like I already said, Brookiera has not posted her charrie yet so she will not come into the story until she does. Thanks for joining and for waiting so patiently!)

The HunterParticipantPart One:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jace stared at the dark mansion. The unforgiving shadows hid most of the fancy detailing on the once splendid house. The mansion's windows and door seemed to grin grimly down at him. This doesn't seem like a good idea, his self conscious told him. "Well, Mom did say that I need to be more adventurous." Somehow this didn't make him feel any better. Taking a deep breath, he put one foot on the first step to the dark porch. The other foot followed, and before he knew it he was standing on the front porch of the foreboding house. "Well Mom? At least I think I'm adventurous."
he looked around. It was mostly shadows and old broken peices of furniture. Before him was an eight foot tall solid oak door, spiraling obscure details covered the surface. Hanging at eyelevel was framed cream price of paper. Even in the gloom of the porch Jace could still read the looping cursive handwriting scorned on the paper. It read: "Enter, and beware the consequences."
Jace rolled his eyes. His small well of fear had dissipated as soon as he stepped onto the porch. This was just a normal mansion with a thoroughly decorated outside. He had thought this was going to be an extraordinary scare-fest. "This is so cliche."
He grasped the ice-cold metal doornob. He turned and pushed. The door was heavier than he had thought. He pushed harder. The door gave way with a creak. Before him stood a small groups of people. A bunch of girls and a boy, who was standing in a corner. The boy in the back started from the abrupt appearance. Then he relaxed and walked steadily over to Jace at the doorway.
"Finally another boy, I was beginning to wonder if I was in the right place. I'm George."
George, dressed as Harry Potter, held out his hand. Jace shook it. "I'm Jace. When's the tour going to start?"
George shrugged. It's a self tour. But the next door doesn't open for a few minutes yet. Unless my watch is defective." He looked down at his wrist to check the time.
"Kay." Jace leaned against the wall, leaving the door slightly ajar. Nobody argued because of the draft, nobody wanted to be stuck in this creepy room.
If your character was not mentioned in this part, don't worry, they will be featured soon. I will be featuring a character in each part. Thanks for your patience, and enjoy the Hunt!
The HunterParticipantI will try to post the second part this weekend. I would do it tomorrow, but I have to work (after school, of course.)
-
The HunterParticipantOk, Part Two will FINALLY be posted later tonight. Again, sorry for the wait.
-
The HunterParticipantOk, I finally got around to writing it. Here you go:
Part Two
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Maya looked
nervously around the misty room, absently adjusting her pirate hat.“Why does it
have to be so dark in here? It’s creepy,” she thought, rubbing her upper arms.“Nice
costume,” a tall, blonde-haired girl said with a grin, joining Maya by the side
wall. Maya noticed that the girl had nearly the same costume as herself.“Uh, thanks,
yours is cool too,” Maya said.“So, what’s
your name? I’m Astrai, but you can call me Star.”“I’m Maya.
So, do you like haunted houses?”“I don’t
mind them. They don’t scare me.” Star winked. “I came here on a dare. You?”Maya was
about to reply, but was cut off by a robotic voice coming through the
loudspeaker saying, “Enter, and begin the tour.”A door in
the back of the room opened nearly immediately after, causing some people to
jump in surprise.The group of
seven teens went past the door. Maya held back for a moment, gathering her
courage.“Come on,
Maya, you can do this,” she whispered to herself.“Hey, Maya,
you coming? It’ll be fun!” Star called to her. Maya smiled and said, “Yea, ok.
Let’s go.” They followed the group into a dark hallway. As soon as they had
cleared the threshold, the door closed with a bang. Maya shuddered inside, the
darkness slowly creeping her out. A few of the teens gasped and cried out as
candles lit, light flickering in the passageway, casting shadows on the wall.“What now?”
Maya whispered.~~~~~~~~~~~~~
