BookBugParticipantCool idea, Killim! By the way, are you new? If yes, then welcome!
Name: Jane
Age: 13
Gender: F
Appearance: Long, waist length red hair and very bright green eyes.
Personality: Kind, funny, loyal and stubborn.
Talent: She is extremely smart in pretty much everything.
Other: Can she be your friend?
-
Killim@BookbugParticipantOf course! She can be Valery's friend, and no, I'm not new, I just haven't been on for a long time. I'm also from Kyngdom.
~Valery
I head to lunch with Jane, and when we do, I notice everyone glares at us.
I take out my earbuds and look at Jane.
"What's up with them?" I mutter.
She shrugs. "I won the robotics competition."
I stop in my tracks.
She looks at me. "What?"
"Do you not get that we have to be normal?" I ask. "They'll take us like they did to that kid, Jake Simons!"
"Nah, that's just a myth," she says, waving her hand dismissvely. "Made to scare us."
"And you're the only one who thinks that!" I whisper-shout.
"Valery, what's gotten in to you today?"
I'm about to react when I notice something odd about the girl behind her. I shift to my side a little bit to get a better look, and my suspicions are confirmed.
"Valery."
I inhale sharply. "Jane, move to your side a little bit."
"Why?" she asks, looking behind her and then looking back at me. "What?"
"Because," I reply, continuing to look at her. "The kid behind you has got a weapon of some sort, and she plans to use it on you. Wow, people take the competition quite seriously around here."
"I'd say," she mutters.
There's a sudden silence when Mel walks up to us.
"Hey, let's head to the table!" she says, almost over-cheerfully. She knew there was going to be trouble.
The girl walks away, and Jane walks with Mel.
I continue to look at the girl.
"Valery?" I can hear Mel's voice.
Back of the neck is her weakness, she's had some disk problems from the way that she uncomfortably moves her head around. Most likely she has a few friends, but it was a dare to harm Jane because of the way that she looks like she's been sweating and is nervous. She's obviously relieved by the change in her skin colour that Mel came up to us and interrupted. Honestly, I am a little too.
"Valery?"
I shake my head and turn towards Mel, smiling. "Right."
I put in my earbuds and walk towards the table.

seriously, the civil war? AGAIN! I think one school evening, history, to be precise.
i'm not that bad at history, mostly just A's. But I'm BEST in the school at physics, it just comes naturally to me. I sigh and say "Mrs. ackbar!"
"yes stivious"
"may I use the bathroom?"
"yes, be quick about it"
i leave the room and start walking as slow as I can.
suddenly I bump into someone. Two men in black suits. I know what this is.
"are you stivious browning?" They ask in unison.
"no" I say "he's in the bathroom"
i start running in the opposite direction, as soon as they walk away.

Stivious comes up to us at lunch, gasping for breath.
"What's wrong with you?" Jane asks.
"Uh, late for lunch," Stivious offers, smiling.
Immediately Mel sees the lie.
"You're lying," Mel says bluntly.
Stivious laughs, looking away, and then looks back at us. "What makes you think that?"
"Obvious," I reply. "First of all, you're red, showing you've been caught, but Mel could already tell that. Also, if you had only been running because you were late, your eyes wouldn't be jotting all over the place like you were expecting someone to come at you."
"Well?" Jane asks. "What's going on, Stivious?"

I glare at the tablet in front of me. If only school could be over now, and I could run away somewhere, somewhere where there was no cold, snarky teachers, and I was a normal person. If only Ms. Meiher would let me do a project on black holes. Now that would be interesting, unlike this aggravating Honors Algebra we're doing. If only Algebra wasn't so–
"Miss Slight, are you paying attention?" Ms. Meiher's acidic voice shoots over the desks at me. I jump a little, then stare at Ms. Meiher blankly. I feel my face flame, and a few kids behind me titter.
"Er… Yes ma'am. What did you say?" The snickers behind me grow louder, and Ms. Meiher does nothing to stop them.
"I asked you if you had found the answer to number 18 yet." Grr, more Algebra.
"Um…," I look down at my tablet,"Fifty-six?" The look Joshua Adams gives me from his seat in the front of the class makes me want to melt into the ground.
"Miss Slight, I expect better from you," Ms. Meiher says coldly,"In addition to your regular homework, please do problems 36-46 and write a paragraph on the properties we have just learned." I stare at her in disbelief. Why me? Elmer Levinsky got just as many wrong as me and stole Hannah's tablet while she was in the middle of a problem and I get the extra homework?
The extreme unfairness of this had just hit me when the bell rings, signifying lunch period and freedom. I pack up my tablet and digital pad quickly, hot anger pulsing through me.

I get up as he explains, and walk outside the hall to get my notepad from my math class. Right as I step into the hall, I run into Jana.
"Hey Jana," I say.
"Hey Valery," she replies.
She's heated and not making eye contact, so she's obviously embarrassed about something.
"Jana, what's wrong?"
She explains how the math teacher gave her extra problems and how it was all unfair. She also warns me not to get on the teacher's bad side today, because I have her next period.
"I'm sorry," I say.
"It's fine," she mutters back. "Is Mel here today?"
I nod.
"Okay, I'll be at the table then."
I nod one last time and head for calculus to get my stuff. But when I do, I see the two men in suits.
"Excuse me, but can you tell us where Mr. Browning is? We can't seem to find him."
"I don't think he's here today," I lie. No. No one is taking my friends. Not as long as I can help it.
"Do you know why?"
"I think he was either on vacation or sick. Or both," I reply casually, forcing myself to laugh.
The agents give me a look but walk away, and I forget my math notebook and head right back to the table to tell them what happened.

DanieParticipantaaaaa I'm sorry for not posting sooner! (And you wrote Mel quite well! She's the type of person to be blunt.)
Mel~
I watch as Valery comes back, with no notebook. Something happened, she doesn't forget stuff unless something else exciting interests her more.
"What happened?" I asked, busying my hands with my food. She glances at Stivious.
"Someone asked me for Stivious," He murmered, trying to keep his eyes from darting around.
"They usually don't pointingly ask someone where someone is," I said. "This could be a test of some sort, or perhaps to catch us off guard and lead us somewhere… Or they are trying to help us!" I end off optimistically. The others look at me with a mixture of pity and exasperation. I look down at my food, embarressed.
The lunch bell rings. "We better start going to class," Stivious mutters, getting up. "We must be careful."
