Story 1, starring: Cali Forne, Nina Mexton, Matthew Chosett, and Riley Siland!
Frenemies
Cali walked along the sidewalk to Nina's house. She danced up the front steps to her door and knocked. The door swung open quickly. Nina was more than 4 years older, not to mention 8 inches taller than her, but that didn't mean they couldn't be friends. "Heeey, California! How's it going?"
"Good. How about you?" Cali asked back, looking at New Mexico's lipsticked, mascara'd face. "Can you wear more makeup?"
"I'm great! What do you want to do?" Nina answered excitedly.
"We could go window-web-shopping," Cali suggested. Window-web-shopping was something Cali and Nina had invented where they looked at fancy clothing and accessories that were WAAAAAAY out of their league.
Nina shut the door and Nina opened her computer.
Then another knock came to the door.
"Who was that?" Cali asked.
"I don't know California. maybe we should look." Nina says.
She opens the door, and standing there are Matthew and Riley.
"Why are you here?" Nina asks, right when Cali says, "Hey, Rhode Island!"
"You ask me," Matthew says to Nina, crossing his arms.
"Well I didn't invite you! Why are you asking ME for an explanation?" Nina says snarkily.
"Fine, I dragged Massechusetts here because I saw California walking to your house," Riley admits. "Can we come in?"
Nina is about to say no, but Cali stops her. "I'm fine with Riley, and I have a mutual feeling of whatever with Matthew, so maybe it's okay."
"Alright. Come in . . ." Nina says begrudgingly.
"Please, try not to kill each other."

It's really good! However, how come the characters are sometimes called by their names and sometimes by their states?

It's just the way I write and talk. I have a friend (not saying real names) who's nickname is Juju. I don't call her that all the time, just when I feel like it, which is in situations where it doesn't really matter.

Gender: Male
Personality (include some "characteristics" of the state"): Cosmopolitan, not a fan of some of the other southern states surrounding it. Generally nice. Talented, but nervous. Likes to take things slowly. Loves art and camping.
Appearance (again, include characteristics): Green eyes, freckled skin, scruffy auburn hair. Gap-toothed grin. Very cute. Casual yet up-to-date hiking-style clothes.
Weapon (optional): A bowie knife.
*Friends: IDK, make some up
*Enemies: Jerks.

Gender: Female
Personality (include some "characteristics" of the state"): Relaxed, chill. Smart. Liberal. Loves gourmet food with a burning passion. Is into southwestern food. Constantly calm (to the point of it being a bit odd).
Appearance (again, include characteristics): Short brown hair, grey eyes, very short. Doesn't smile a lot, but is generally happy-looking. Wears a green shirt and denim shorts.
Weapon (optional): Chemicals. She's into science.
*Friends: Arizona?
*Enemies: IDK

We kinda gave up on age by size. Now I think it's when you entered the US. So Colorado would be more youngish.
