Are we still heading north? I have no idea what going on with the Elites right now.

I'd like for the Elites to be able to at least see Jaaws once. She's still at Jokull, so I was thinking we could accompany the Resistance on their mission to Jokull to guard against and study Jaaws.
That being said…

"Come in" Kimi, the newest member of our team.
I open the door,
"Wait so that door was unlocked the whole time?"
"I was wondering why you didn't come out, sobrina"
"huh?" she gives me a confused look.
"Cousin"
"what how are we rela-"
"Oh boy," I interrupt "You never heard about Zekia from your tribe, did you?”
“No, who’s he?”
“The first anthro, a dragon.”
“So every anthro’s part dragon?”
“Yep, except purebred dragon anthros”
“I’m guessing there is some legend behind him.”
“Pretty much the short version is that a male dragon and a female human fell in love with each other and wanted a child, they need a knife so that they can get a bit of blood from the father and the mother, and the result was the first anthro Zekia,”
“That is a bit… incomplete, isn’t it?”
“Well it was so long ago that all that really remain is myths, half-truths, to put it simply… lies, but in all the known lands of the country Zekia, named after him of course, the one certain truth is that he was the first anthro….”
I pause, Her face is so stone cold I can’t tell if she was interested or bored.
“Why don’t you explore a bit, relax. Melt that set frown off your face. Have some fun for once! You’re free for crying out loud.”

Someone knocks at my door. "Come in," I say, curious as to who it could be.
In steps another anthro–except he's a fox. A red fox anthro–the first anthro I've ever seen that's not a raccoon. My eyes widen in surprise at the sight of him, but I hide my shock with the first question that pops into my head–"Wait, so that door was unlocked the whole time?"
He nods. "I was wondering why you didn't come out, sobrina."
"Huh?" This conversation is already getting strange.
"Cousin," he answers simply.
"What? How are we rela–"
"Oh boy," he interjects. "You never heard about Zekia from your tribe, did you?"
I never heard about anything from my tribe, I think bitterly. "No, who's he?" I ask.
"The first anthro, a dragon." The red fox proceeds to tell me the legend behind all anthros. I listen impassively, as I always forget I am allowed to show emotion here. When he's done, I consider the tale. Eventually I say, "That is a bit…incomplete, isn't it?"

He pauses. The story really is interesting. I try to make my face look engaged, but I guess it doesn't work, because he blinks and says, "Why don't you explore a bit, relax. Melt that set frown off your face. Have some fun for once! You're free for crying out loud."
Then he leaves. Melt that set frown off your face…
I can feel my lips curling up in a smile. He closes the door and I can't hold it in; I fall onto my bed laughing. For a moment I hope nobody is listening, but I shake my pride off and keep laughing–it feels so good!
Okay, I think. I'll try to have some fun. It can't do me any harm, that's for sure.
With that, I get up and leave my room.

"I heard you laughing"
Kimi came down the Stairs with a second of shock then her face settled again
"Ok now tell me, What is the first fun thing you want to do Ms. Flammori?"
I bow as if one of the Republic was there, her tail tweches increasingly.
I boop her nose
"Is this the laugh button or did you have it removed?"
"Oh my gosh (chuckle) what the heck!" She pushes me away while laughing uncontrolably, then she stops, and her frown returns
"But don't do that again"
"Note taken. But you didn't answer my question"
I grin, I am going to make this a day she'll never forget, after all, Jestering is one of my talents, or what my mother sometimes said, "driving people more than insane.

I think their personalities match beautifully. I don't ship it, though, I think they'll just become good friends. If romantic feelings grow out of that I will absolutely support it, but the dynamic seems platonic so far.

Hmm, what fun things do I want to do today? I've never really had fun before.
"We could…collect food," I suggest after giving it much thought.
"I don't think that really counts as fun," Alex says.
"Hmm," I say doubtfully.
"This is fun," he says, then proceeds to grab my nose. "Got your nose!" he shouts, then runs down the hall.
"What?! Give it back!" I cry, and he's led me all the way down the hallway before I realize my nose is indeed still securely attatched to my face. "Oh. You were kidding," I realize sheepishly.

But you just said it was only authors, so I would just be the Author of Alexandria and Etoile. You said it wasn't the characters, so it wouldn't matter if one of them was dead if you were only counting the authors.
