ApplejaguarParticipant!!
New YorkGared, you were so brave to make DJ Bowtie the way you made him. I was considering doing something like that, but as soon as I felt some resistance to it, I backed down. You never backed down, and you played a huge role in making the CB a more accepting place.
I also loved your portrayal of yourself as a crazed, caffeine-high child genius who loves to eat crepes on that solo write you did. That was great.
Your interest in Magic: The Gathering really spread to me. Watching you post about it so much made me wonder about it, and when I finally encountered some new friends who could explain it to me I was so relieved and gratified.
Gared, I would really like it if you came back.

BluebirdParticipantLet's see, where to start…
I did not make the best first impression on you, because I joined the Boarding School RP and then quit halfway through. I don't know you very well because I don't go on Inkwell very much anymore and I'm not involved in AE drama at all, but I know you for being one of the people who started trying to making changes involving LGBT+ rights on the CB, never backing down, and always being so down to earth and mature about everything 🙂 Thanks for the music recommendations, awesome writing and ideas, and your presence on the CB. We'll miss you.

RaeParticipantGared, it was completely your decision to leave. I support it, I understand it, I forgive it, and most of all, though I should not, I know that I regret it. Again, it was your choice. And because you are Gared, the one hundred percent fantastic Gared, I respect it and think that it must be the right one.
I am going to miss you, your wonderful, beautiful characters, and all your amazing ideas. You may not know it, but I am here today because of you. Elliot. The ageless vampire king of my city in the sky. You welcomed me when I first stumbled into Kyngdom, just a small young girl looking for a place and a family. You became my friend in what was then, and is slowly returning to, a dark world. I was a 10 year old girl running from monsters, and the king took me in.
Gared, you have a way with words. You can bend them to whatever you want them to say, and it will sound purely beautiful. SailHaven. Who could have made that up but you? Gared the Wordsmith.
If you do come back, I want you to read this. To know that you are loved, and that it hurts when a loved one leaves. We are going to miss you with the whole of our beings.
In the words of Ronan Damocles:
That Gared. He's a wonder.

Rose T.ParticipantBad Wolf
@admins,fictional nameGared, I didn't know you very well. Now that you are gone, though, I wish that I had. Like Rae said, your imagination was and is simply amazing. You had only to picture something, and there it would stand. I didn't know you as well as I could have, and I regret that. Please say you'll come back on Valentine's Day 2019, and as Ronan said:
That Gared. He's a wonder.

The DreamerOh, Admin, I just wanted to point out that Rose's name is from Doctor Who, Seasons 1-2. So the last name is fictional. I know she said that in her location box…

Lightning!ParticipantYou were one of the first people to comment on my earliest post. (Hi, I'm… submitted by Moon)
You gave me an intro to the CB and all its amazing people. Please come back, at least to meet us on Feburary 2020(or whenever that was).

LeeliParticipantHey y'all.
I think this is a great idea. It really is. I'm sure Gared will love it, and it's really sweet.
But why haven't we done this for other CBers that have left? I don't want to crash this awesome party, but it hurts me that Gared is the only one who's ever received something like this. Now, correct me if I'm wrong. I might just not have known about other times. But Gared, though he is a great CBer, isn't any more important than any other departed CBers, and he won't be missed any more than the others, right? I'm sorry that I have to be the party pooper here, but I just wanted to point that out.
That Gared. He's a wonder.
And I hope he won't take this the wrong way, as with all of you.

Viola?ParticipantSecret
SecretI don't know. I'll admit, I wondered that myself. Perhaps it's just not the kind of gesture everyone felt was appropriate for the others. It seems to be somewhat spontaneous, simply unthought of before. There's nothing stopping you from making tribute/memorial threads for them. But the more I think about it, the more it feels like it suits Gared and our relationship to him for us to make a thread devoted to his praise, and not so much the others. They're not worth less for that; our words in their memories are simply different and delivered in different ways, undiminished in strength and meaning. They will be missed, and that is equally true for all. This is simply a unique way of expressing it for one.

unsuspectingstrytllrParticipantGared…
you don't have to try to be the hero of the CB. You have made such an impact already. Although I may not improve of all the things you do, that doesn't mean I want you to leave. You can stay, and we will welcome you back.
-
GaredParticipantThank you. Thank you so much. I don't know what to say; I am crying a little bit.
