LeeliParticipantHere are some really great Christian songs, but also just great songs in general.
-In The Eye of The Storm by Ryan Stevenson
-Hills and Valleys by Tauren Wells
-Invincible by Skillet
-Anything by Needtobreathe, but some of my favorites are More Time, Testify, Won't Turn Back, and The Heart.
Does anyone have any good sniveling music?
-
LeeliParticipant*Noveling.
*mutters* Curse you autocorrect…
-
BluebirdParticipantOh, thank you for recommending these! I've been trying to listen to more Christian music, but I never know what to listen to. All of your recommendations are great songs! I've got a song for you to listen to, also- Home Free's version of How Great Thou Art, it was one of the only songs I've ever heard that actually gave me shivers. It's absolutely beautiful.
Olafur. Arnalds. Is. Great. For. Novelling! He makes instrumental music, and I'm not one who usually likes music like that, but I love every song of his. He also gives his sheet music away for free on his website (I don't remember if you play an instrument, but if you're interested…) Another thing I like to listen to while novelling is Lo-fi music, I'm not sure how to describe it, but I listen to a radio online. Also, Novo Amor, who I'm recommending for the third time XD
Thank you for the recommendations!
-
LeeliParticipantYou're welcome! I love those songs. I'll have to listen to Home Free's How Great Thou Art sometime! And thank you for the noveling suggestions! I'll check those out. I have some more Christian music recommendations that I'll post on the last page of this thread for everyone to see!

NighthawkParticipant~Isle of Flightless Birds~ Twenty Øne Piløts >or basically any song by them<
~Two Birds, Folding Chair, Machine~Regina Spektor
~Apologize, Apathy, Stop and Stare, All Fall Down, Tyrant, and All We Are~OneRepublic
~Rock Lobster~B52's
~Moonlight~Grave Vanderwall >I think that's her name<
-
BluebirdParticipantMy friend just recommended the song Moonlight to me, because Grace Vanderwall has the same b-day as me (same year, too!). It's super catchy and I like it a lot. Twenty One Pilots is one of my favorite bands, so I've heard Isle of Flightless Birds. And I LOVE the song apologize.
And oh my goodness I'm falling in love with Regina Spektor! All her songs are so beautiful! Rock Lobster kind of reminds me of Disco Duck. I like all the songs by OneRebuplic. Thank you for the recommendations!
-
Leeli@BluebirdParticipantHave you heard Regina Spektor's No Need to Say Goodbye? It's so beautiful, but sad. Almost made me cry. XD It's at the end of Prince Caspian, if you've seen it.

RaeParticipant-Led Zeppelin (anything, but I would reccomend IV particularly)
-CARRY ON WAYWARD SON, by Kansas (no, it doesn't need to be all caps, I just really like that one)
-Beds are Burning, by Midnight Oil (this is one I would really look into the background of [whatvits about] if I were you. Midnight Oil is really cool.)
-Anything at all by Feist, but especially: Inside and Out, Mushaboom, 1 2 3 4, Any Party, Let it Die, and The Circle Married the Line.
-BEATLES!!! Strawberry Fields, Martha My Dear, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Rocky Raccoon, Don't Pass Me By, Goodmorning Goodmorning, Blackbird, I could go on and on but I think that's good for now.
-
SopranoTwoParticipantSmile (the Glee version is pretty good)
The Rocky Horror Glee Show (when they did Rocky Horror on Glee XD)
Pretty much all of Glee
Bushes of Love (Bad Lip Reading)
The entire High School Musical Bad Lip Reading video (It is mostly singing)
I'm Still Standing (Elton John, I think?)
Mudge says yewe. Sorry that you don't like my songs, Mudge! Humph.
-
InktailParticipantOk. Whoever suggested "Just Give Me A Reason," thanks for giving me an earworm. XD
–In The End by Black Veil Brides (omg. Omgomgomgomgomg. AHHHHH. I just can't. It's so good!!!!!!)
–Literally anything by Peter Hollens. (Don't ask. Just search it. One man a cappella. One word: AMAZING. Try the newer stuff first–it's WAY better.)
–See above, but substitute Nick Pitera. (Same note. Just Google it.)
–I Don't Love You by My Chemical Romance
–Disenchanted by My Chemical Romance
–Who Knew by P!nk
–You're Welcome from Moana
–How Far I'll Go from Moana
–Any song by Sqaishey Quack/Sqaishey Sings/Beth/Bethany Bates on YouTube. Serioudly. This girls voice melts my heart. The MC ones are adorable, but if you want to heAR her sing some REAL music, search up the channel Sqaishey Sings.
–Anything by Pentatonix.
–Anything by Home Free. (Don't ask, just search.)
–Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas
*steps back, looks at music* Wow.
I have a very weird and varied style of music. O_o
-
KillimParticipantI love jazz and pieces from musicals.
Mhm, I love Coldplay, like Speed of Sound and Paradise. I also like the Dave Matthews Band, like the song Crash.
Fleetwood Mac is also awesome. I like Khalid and Oh Wonder (they are both musical artists/duos).
Thats it for now.
-
LeeliParticipantHow Far I'll Go is so good!!
-
elementgirl18917ParticipantHow Far I'll Go is literally the STORY OF MY LIFE
-
LeeliParticipantXD I know I've made up at least two other versions–one about missing a friend and one about…chickens. XD
-
-
-
NighthawkParticipantYES BLACK VEIL BRIDES ARE THE REASON IM EMO LOL YESSSS
-
-
Killim@InktailParticipantAlso, I'm not sure if you are going to see this, but are you going to Oireachtas in December? I'm completely in prelim now and switched commissions to TCRG, so we may or may not be going to the same competition.
-
Inky@KillimParticipantSadly, no. Our region is in Orlando this year, and that's too far away for us. But, hopefully it will be closer to home next year! 😀
-
Killim@InkyParticipantYeah, I think we are in the same commission. Mine's in Orlando too. I hope you can go next year!

LeafpoolParticipantEternal
Hidden in the forest@Bluebird–*Blushes* *Makes odd expression* *Bangs head on desk repeatedly* Ahhh, gosh. My bad. That is soo funny–I think I knew it was by All Time Low, and I saw it on the iTunes thing, but I still didn't manage to realize it. I even unconsciously made up a whole entire new band that rhymed with it! Wow, I'm amazed.
-
@BLUEBIRDParticipantEternal
(Leafpool)Oh–and Bluebird! You won the Poetry Challenge, could you post new prompts?
-
LeeliParticipantMore awesome Christian songs!
-Love With Your Life by Hollyn
-Lights Shine Bright by Tobymac (Feat. Hollyn)
-Never Gonna Let Me Go by Tauren Wells (trust me, this will stick in your head so bad)
-Happy Dance by Mercyme
-
Blue SmokeParticipant13
RivendellI have so much trouble finding songs I like. My tastes are super weird. There's no real genre that I really like. Mostly I listen to podcasts anyway.
Get Free- Major Lazer
Futura- Battles
Night on the Yorktown- Star Trek Beyond Soundtrack, Micheal Giaccino (probably spelled totally wrong, sorry MG)
If you like long suites of movie music, Tyrannicus on youtube has many long suites of Star Trek music. I often use them for studying. They also have Star Wars and LOTR suites.
Blue Smoke, we have similar tastes! Try "Ambling Alp" by Yeasayer and "Derezzed" by Daft Punk from the Tron soundtrack.
