ParticipantCan I just say one thing? Reading RP posts makes me happy. Even if it's a really heart-wrenching post, it satisfies me. It's almost as though I have an underlying starvation that feeds upon good literature. Oh, and also this:
Sacra~
Galexia nods off in my arms. She nestles her head against my neck and falls sound asleep. I smile sympathetically. Andromeda chuckles a little bit and reaches out for Galexia's sleeping form. I hand her over, and Andromeda carries her away. Jai creeps over to me and places a hand on my arm, where my short cuts off. She stares at her own hand.
"Your aura – it's extending onto me! But – it's really nice. Gentle, and relaxing. Hmmm." Jaihra screws up her face. "There is something else too. It's hard to notice, but it's definitely there…" She closes her eyes. "Hmmm. Yes, there is a ferocity underneath the gentleness of your magic, Sacra. I wonder if the magic can illustrate itself…?" I give her a confused look. "Oh. I've always had a theory that magic can reveal itself in many ways, andbI had always hoped that I would find a way for magic to introduce itself, like tell us it's personality… I'm sorry. That sounded so stupid." Jai places one hand over one side of her face. I shake my head.
"No it doesn't. I actually think that I know how to how you guys…" I step to the middle of the room. I close my eyes and let the silver magic course through my blood. I try to picture what the magic would b like if it was a person. I lift my arms. Silver glows on my fingertips, and I begin to move in some graceful way. It's not dancing, but it's definitely not flailing. In my mind, pictures appear of a mother cradling her child, two friends laughing together, and an epic battle scene. A melody fills my head, but it seems to be in the room. The song is like a sad smile if a soldier who is ready for battle. My face is serene, not sad or upset, nor happy or exited. When I finally stop gliding around the area, I look at Jaihra. She's staring at a beautiful, serpentine silver strands, suspended in the air by nothing at all. She touches one gingerly.
"Sad. Gentle. Fierce. Wise. And…" Jai looks at me straight in the eyes. "And nothing we've ever seen before."

ParticipantDoes anyone have an idea of where they go next? So far we know that they will find Mr. Starz there.

Cassandra the First
ParticipantI was thinking Mr. Starz would be on the Planet of Secrets Rose bud was talking about earlier?

ParticipantGood idea, will post soon!

Ready for one of my trademark extra-long posts???
So I'm planning kind of a huge climax at the Planet of Secrets?? I haven't thought about what they will discover yet, but I have a vague idea of something that would be cool to happen in the team. And again, I'm sorry for not posting much, but my homeschool resource center is closed for the week because of the hurricane. People evacuating from the coast are coming through our highways and we don't know how hard the storm will hit us a little further up, so we're all just kind of holding our breath. But I don't have to be a slave to Algebra II and Advanced Biology for a week!!! YAYYYY! Are any of you guys in the path of the hurricane too? I'll definitely be praying that everyone stays safe!
On a brighter note, are you ready for some more Androminique? I really need to work on their characters, because so far neither has shown much vulnerability. Even Andromeda isn't completely emotionless. Well, Dominique might be, but well…he's just so very Dom-ish.
Okay, I'll stop now and just write!
Andromeda~
Galexia rests her head on Sacra's shoulder, and for the first time in the past 2 days her face is completely peaceful. I look around at the bunch of tired teenagers draped across the padded chairs like they've been space renegades their whole lives. I don't even know these people, and yet we've formed some sort of crazy family.
Hunched over the navigating computer, Jaihra stops her frantic typing as she is overwhelmed by a yawn.
"Okay. That's it."
"What?" Jaihra jumps slightly and almost drops her byte.
"You all need to rest. We've had a pretty big day…two days…" how many days has it been since we left fairyland anyway? "whatever."
"Crossier's dilemma," Dom inputs.
"I'm not even going to ask what tha—"
"It's when you are traveling through multiple galaxies and visiting multiple planet systems so you're internal clock is mixed up and you have no way of telling time," he explains.
"Oh, thanks," I don't try to keep the sarcasm in, "I feel so enlightened."
"You need to rest," I repeat, "there are bunks towards the middle of the ship and a break room in the middle. Take a nap. Eat some tacos. You can make me a cup of coffee, or whatever the fairy equivalent is."
"Chocho," Saphira says.
"…On second thought, that does not sound half as appetizing as my sweet nectar of life*. Everyone just take a break okay,"
"But!" Pheonix begins to interject, of course.
"Dominique and I will let you know if anything happens. We'll just follow Jaihra's course and hope for the best. It will probably take an hour, tops, in good conditions."
"I can't…Not with Dad out there, and what if we miss him, or can't find him, or—" the slight, almost imperceptible tremble in his voice catches me like a blaster ray to the chest. I've never seen Pheonix as vulnerable as he has been on this adventure. As a matter of fact, I haven't ever seen him so caring, understanding, and determined before either.
"Pheonix, it's okay. I'm just as worried as you are. I've got this, okay? Okay?" I feel the need for him to repeat the little word back to me, as if two syllables can right everything.
"Fine. But I'm NOT tired. There was this one time I stayed up all night. See, I hadn't done Mrs. Brunn's Monerean history assignment for the fourth quarter, because I had been at the park trading cards with Bill and Jamie, and it was really hard too. But I got an A+. And I didn't even start on it until midnight because I was—"
Okay, so apparently some things never change.
The others disappear, chattering, into the back area of the ship, except for Galexia and Sacra. I'm pretty sure they are both asleep, or at least close to it. The monitor program Jaihra set up on the navigation device beeps regularly. With each beep, I imagine us getting just a little closer to Dad. To normality and maybe some sort of what our family used to be like. Everyone always looks to me to lead them. Andromeda, wielder of rogue blue magic, combat-trained, sassy older sister, and now kind of…a space adventure mom of a bunch of crazy, magical teens. I was forced to grow up after mom disappeared.
Blerg. Life is complicated.
I kick my feet up on the control panel.
"Don't—" Dominique starts, "fine." There's silence for a few minutes, broken up by the hum of the engine and beep of the navigator.
"Have you ever been this far in space before? Do you know what's out here?" I gesture towards the blackness, speckled with stars zooming past us.
"I'm just a government pilot. I've had my fair share of adventures, but I've never come past the Spectrum System," Dom admits.
"You didn't seem too familiar with it when we went—"
"You mean when you practically forced me and gunpoint to escort you," he corrects, but I know he's joking. Somehow, I don't know. Dom isn't an easy guy to read since he's just so quiet and calm all the time. I haven't even known him for more then a week, but it's like I just know.
"And no, I only bring important files or transport cargo and occasionally a squadron of officials to the Spectrum System. I'm not crazy like you."
"You bet I'm crazy."
"You, on the other hand, seemed pretty familiar with that hole of thieves, renegades, and bounty hunters," he points out, "and yet citizens aren't allowed out of Monere without clearance, which I'm guessing you don't have."
"Your guess would be right," I reply carefully, "but I've been there once." Dom turns away from the controls to give me a skeptical look.
"Oh come on, magical beings? Do these things even surprise you anymore?"
He shrugs.
"The amount of unordinary things I've seen this week is more than I ever thought I'd see in my entire life. So how did you get to Spectrum?"
"My aunt…my insane, self-absorbed, mystery-loving…uh, she's, one of the 7 sisters. She just showed up one day and scared my half to death, telling me all about magic and portaling me to Spectrum just like that," I snapped my fingers. "She told me…if I went there enough times, I'd meet the blue sister. The one who's magic I have. So that's what I dragged you there for. I knew we'd been discovered and it was time to break out and do something crazy. I hadn't really been informed, and I was terrified because I had no idea where my brother and sister were and I was being carted away to who knows where, so I acted on my only clue: Spectrum. And you took me there. And kind of helped save my life, even though I had the whole situation under control."
"Of course," he agrees solemnly, but I can sense a smile underneath.
"I still don't know why you're here."
"Well, you clearly couldn't do this alone."
"Uh-hu." I mean, "yeah right."
"And I had nothing better to do."
"Must be so boring traversing the galexy on super secret government missions."
"And we make…you know…a good team." I leaned back in my chair, looking up towards space. Of course we make a good team. It's weird. And unexpected. But I think I'll go with it. I hadn't meant to spill all that out to Dom, but now that I did, I feel better.
Slowly, my thoughts sink into a drowsy cloud, only to be interrupted by a small jolt from the ship. I open one eye and look over at Dominque.
"Just a little turbulence. I can handle it. You can rest." I close my eyes again.
For once, someone is looking out for me. I don't think I've ever felt safer.
~
Awww so cute!! Also I'm sorry for the length y'all!! Do you think I should try to shorten my posts? I typically iike to do this because there is SO MUCH character development to do, but if they just get to long and boring let me know and I can break them up.
Y'ALL ARE THE BEST!! Never stop writing. Also, I'm super glad Sacra's here, and I can't wait to see where you'll go with her silver magic.
*Which is tea for me, because I hate coffee 😛

ParticipantAlso, guys, this thread just surpassed all the other threads I've made in length! It just beat the Fantastical RP and Decepmyth! Ahhhh!! This is the best, and I feel like we're getting close to the climax here at the Planet of Secrets. And hopefully, they reach Jewel Academy and get started on their new life there as a nice, happy resolution. Or at least, I hope it's happy. PLEASE NOBODY DIE!!

Participant*Evil giggle* I was actually thinking about if Sacra was put in some sort of holding cell or used as a bartering peice with the Purple Sister (Caroll?)… We'll see. *Puts fingertips together and leans back with an evil grin on face*

ParticipantTyphoon 3Not a hurricane, but it’s currently a Typhoon 3, and a Typhoon 10 is coming this weekend! I’m in Hong Kong! I’m taking a semester of study here to be with my dad.
Side note, I decided to stand on the school stairs to take this photo, and I literally got blown to the side. I thought it died down, but I guess not.

Participant@Rose bud, don't shorten your posts! Somehow, I find soo much satisfaction in reading a big, long, juicy, RP post… and I always LOVE yours! Androminique is SO CUTE!
@Everyone, so if the climax is going to be the Planet of Secrets, should we have Caroll there? And maybe they could fight her and stuff and all the drama and hostages and emotions… then at the end all the sisters could show up and whisk them off to Jewel Academy!

ParticipantWhenever I'm sad I just remind myself that Andromeda exists. In our imaginations.
(Also this is what I've been doing instead of writing a post. Sorry everyone.)

ParticipantSo… it doesn't look like too much is happening now. The crew is getting some well-deserved rest, which is good for them, but not exciting enough for us! Do you guys have anything you want to write about before they land on the Planet of Secrets and the big climax happens? If not, I'll write a part about them all landing on the Planet…

ParticipantSCOkay, first of aslkfjalsdkfhalskdfalskdfjalskfj Fidelity that's amazing!!! Oh my gosh!!! I love your art work so much! The hair!! Ahhhh!!
Yeah we can totally cut to the action here. I just wanted to get some more Androminique time to develop their… friendship before we jump to the dramatic part. I guess we can discover the Mr. Starz on the Planet of Secrets, and maybe some cool things like a possible silver magic origin story? I had like one teensy weensy thing I was hoping to get to with Dom, but it doesn't matter if it doesn't happen. I just wanted to develop his character a little more.
Also, I hope everyone in the path of Hurricane Florence is staying safe! We've just had a TON of rain here. I was like, "oh, a rainy day, the perfect time to make some headway writing," but my brain is like, "nope, we are going to watch and rewatch every episode and behind the scenes video of Nightwing the Series."

ParticipantThank you Rosebud!
I think a planet of secrets part would make sense. I don't think we quite figured out how to get to the Academy from there, but I think we can go with the flow. It is a spontaneous RP after all!
Anyway, about silver magic, I was thinking of creating a charrie with gold magic too (a student at the academy). Maybe we could call the branch of magic terrestrial magic? Because it comes from earth?
<3 Fidelity
georgia says badf. Is that a bad idea?
-
Cassandra the First
ParticipantI think terrestrial magic is an awesome idea! Do you want to just keep it at gold and silver, or develop some more colors? (Like galexial magic has seven colors, so should terrestrial magic have more too? We could make them, like, all metallic colors?)

Rogue Wildling
ParticipantUm, I don't mean to intrude or anything, but I was really looking forward to silver magic being the 'lost color', and it being galexial magic, like the others… And possibly finding the Silver Sister… *GASP* WAIT WHAT IF SACRA WAS THE SILVER SISTER AND SOMEHOW LOST HER MEMORYYYYYYY!!! *Stutters* B-but only if it's okay with you guys… I just thought it would make an epic plot twist… 🙂

Aspen
ParticipantHm. I dunno. I like the idea of Terrestrial magic. So maybe that's like, silver, gold, copper, bronze, and iron or something?
-
Cassandra the First
ParticipantI still kinda like the idea of terrestrial magic (gold, silver, copper, bronze, platinum, iron, maybe something else?), but I get how it'd be cool to have Sacra be THE SILVER SISTER… hmm, maybe there can be seven sisters for terrestrial magic too, just like galexial magic! They can be, like, related to the galexial sisters or something! They could be long lost, and Sacra could be the silver oen. It would also provide opportunity for more charries (as the other lost sisters)! How about that?
