I woke up to the irratating sound of my alarm blaring through the room. I sigh and drag myself out of bed. I pull on some clothes and wander downstairs where I grab some cereal and start eating it. After, feeling a little more awake I hurry off to school, I'm thirty minutes early like usual so I go into the libray where I pull a book off the shelf at random and start reading it. Far too soon for my the first bell goes off and I head over to my classroom, I slip into my seat just as the teacher bursts in. The teacher starts talking but I feel myself drift off… and off… until I'm asleep at my desk.

I almost forgot! I'm going to be away for the first week of July so I might not post as often. 

Can I join, if it’s not too late? (You’re getting a lot of last-minute joiners, aren’t you…)

Name: Avi Laska

Age: 15

Animal: Hummingbird

Personality: Quiet, but not shy; usually has a smile on his/her face, but doesn’t laugh very often, (genderfluid, pronouns switch but you can use them/their or xe/xyr if it’s easier). Comes up with crazy ideas that actually work most times. A sort of unlikely wisdom.

Human Appearance: Small and slight, with shoulder-length dark brown hair that he/she usually ties in little braids (like tiny braids that don’t use much hair) on either side of their face when female and leaves loose when male.Usually wears a T-shirt with a hummingbird decal and cargo shorts. Dark-ish skin. Big brown eyes.

Animal Appearance: When a girl, a light dappled-brown hummingbird with a light green underside that blends into the brown. When a male, the green is a brighter jade and is on their head a bit as well, and the brown is a little darker. The eyes are the same as the human form, and that’s how you tell it’s her/him.

Skills: Weaving, climbing things, great balance. She/he is in their animal form most of the time, as she/he prefers it, (flying, fast, sex changes not just identity) and sometimes it’s hard to switch back. Known about their form for a long time, and is used to it.

Background: They haven’t been human for more than a day at a time since they were six. Dropped out of school around that point, and so not very educated on school things (has trouble with higher than basic math, can’t spell). Not really in the rebellion, but knows of the existence of it and passes messages back and forth sometimes. Occasionally double-agents for honey and various other things. The Hunters don’t see her as a threat. Doesn’t know their parents, raised by their five-years older brother Jeremy. Jeremy knows what happened to their parents, but never told Avi. Lets Avi do pretty much whatever he/she wants, as they’re both Anima and quite wild. He dropped out of school too- his Anima form is a black bear. The Hunters don’t have the same passivity to him- they’re on his case. Avi doesn’t know yet, but he/she will soon find out.

Oh, and his/her magical skill is light. Avi can make little balls of iilumination, and vary the brightness. There isn’t much of a drawback, but it’s not like a super OP power. And, y’know, I’ll just have them be female because it’s easier.

A boy with golden eyes ran down an alley, breathing hard. Avi watched curiously as he turned into a lion and took off down a side street. A few moments later, a eighteen-ish girl with a knife skidded out of the alley. “Oh, good, Avi! Which way did he go?” Avi just looked at her. Fumbling, the girl brought out a large pomegranate from her bag. Avi considered for a moment, then she grabbed it and pointed down to where the boy had gone. The girl took off. Avi shoved the pomegranate into her rusack and turned into a hummingbird, flying after them.

”How did you get here so fast!” the brown-haired boy yelped.

”Oh…” said the girl, holding him pinned up against a wall. “A little bird told me.” Avi stifled a laugh. “Now, it is time for you to see what happens to Anima in this kingd-“ The boy suddenly turned back to lion and bit her, hard. He jumped with an impressive spring and was over the wall and running.

Avi changed back and went to check on the girl, who was bleeding quite a bit. Swiftly, she found a bandage in their bag and put it over the wound. “T-thanks,” the Hunter told her, “Now I need to find that rebel- where are they?”

”Don’t know, don’t care, haven’t seen him anywhere,” Avi replied, and with a two-fingered salute she was in hummingbird form and flying up and away.

”You know that helping us is the only thing saving you! You’ve got to tell us- you’re an illegal Anima too!”

But Avi was too far away to hear her. In a few minutes, she was in human form, sitting on the school roof, eating a very tasty pomegranate.

Today Princess Zoey Thorne came in to talk with our class about how inportant the Hunters are. I tried to act serious and pretend to take notes, but I couldn't help but feeling pangs in my gut as certain sentences jumped out at me. A danger to our wonderful kingdom… Must be killed before we are overruled… I know for a fact that I am not the only Anima in my class; I have seen some of them transform. That was when I realized I have had enough.

So just a few moments earlier I started preparing to join the Rebellion.

Name: Xin  Eastimsk
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Animal: Mountain Lion or Cougar (whichever you prefer)
Human appearance: She has sun-kissed tan skin, with a splattering of freckles. Her shoulder length hair is a darker gold, and her eyes are a rich amber. She normally wears a green jacket with a deeper green turtleneck. On her left shoulder she has a rich blue with two spears crossed, one is a darker blue and the other is a blue-grey color. She wears black jeans with brown boots. 
Animal appearance: She is a darker gold color with splotches the same color of her freckles. Her eyes are a deeper and more intimidating amber, with slotted pupils as a great cat does.
Personality: She is an angry smol cinnamon roll. But she can turn into a scary daemon when angry. She prefers not to talk and let other do the talking, but when she has to or when she feels comfortable, she will talk. She is protective and sneaky, often coming up with annoying nicknames to use to anger others.
Skills: She is greatly skilled at turning into her animal and prefers to be in that form. She is great at hunting but not so much at anything to do with making friends. She tries, but it’s not in her nature. When she does get friends someway, they are few and she tends to keep them close.
Background: She left her brother and now she lives in the forest, hunting the hunters, like an urban legend or Slenderman or something. She has spent most of her years away from her brother in cougar form, turning human when necessary. She feels as though she is an animal, not human at heart. Her special skill looks like teleportation but it really is invisibility, she really can’t control it . She just feels invisibible and she is…? Or when she is in the heat of battle, she fights with instinct? Y-you get it.

Today my idiot aunt came to talk about how "The hunters are important to our realm, yada yada, Etc, Etc, political agenda, blahdy blahdy blah." I need to clear my head. Luckily, today is report day, so i have to go to the Resistance camp nearby to report. i walk into the woods, transform, and run to the base. i make my report, (After transforming back, of course) and take a walk in the woods. it's only when i begin transform and start walking back that i realize somebody saw me. oh dear.

I hide behind a nearby tree but it’s too late, she saw me. Oh no. I panic and prepare to bolt as a deer but I decide against it. Her snow leaped form could probably rip me to shreds in seconds. Then I am grabbed from behind and I freeze instantly.

”If  you are want to live be quiet, stay still, and don’t struggle.” She hisses in my ear as we go back to the rebellion.

Storm the girl/boy ratio is like 5-1. Uh, can people change some of their charries genders? I could change SJay's gender…also there's like a lot of cats and it's bothering me maybe I'll change her animal too. GUYS BE MORE CREATIVE WITH YOUR ANIMALS! says little old hypocritical me! Dogs and cats for the wins! *dabs like an idiot* Oh and SJay and Achi both go to the High School. I'll probably post later my brain is really scattered right now I JUST GOT MY SAT SCORES BUT THE THING WONT WORK YAY the anxiety…
