BeaconTown-bluebird: I did piano for two years and I am a percussionist in band.
-Pooki: funniest dream? Well, there was the one where I could go anywhere in the world, and I was with this random guy, and Ended up in a shoe store in Florida…
-Fireburst: I use my phone. Before my birthday, when I didn't have my phone, I used the laptop.
@Everyone: if you found yourself in a situation where you could either save your best friend or a famous warrior, who would you choose?
-
Pooki@SIParticipant-30
not where you liveMy best friend, the whole way. I haven't pledged myself to any warrior, but I have done so for my best friend, so best be loyal. Plus, they're pretty awesome!
-
Viola?ParticipantSecret
SecretI don't have a best friend and the only famous warriors I know are fictional, so I guess famous warrior is slightly more likely to happen, but if the situation played out regardless I would definitely choose my best friend.
-
VyoletteParticipant@Soren Infinity- Um, best friend all the way!
-
General WafflesonParticipant-456
The Breakfast Kingdom!@Soren, my best friend. I realize where you're getting this from, and I chose this in the game too.
-
Soren@GWParticipantWait… you play MCSM too?
-
GW@SorenParticipantI’d say that it’s not exactly an unpopular game. I played it.

Secret@Pooki P: What pronouns do you prefer? I've been using male ones, but I've also seen female, and I seem to recall seeing something about you being nonbinary, so I was wondering.
-
Pooki@Viola?Participant-30
not where you liveI use mainly male and they/them pronouns, she/her is ok also I guess. I prefer they/them. ^u^
And my question for you, Viola?: Where did you get that username? I love it!
@Admins, how many of you are there?
There are several admins, depnding on schedules.

DarkkingParticipantWho knows?
A dimension.Oh gosh that's a lot of questions, IMMA ANSWER THEM ALL (by all I mean all of the ones adressed to everyone)
@Vyolette, I do aikido but im horrible at it, I enjoy it though!
@Pooki P, I gain inspiration from seeing other people's drawings
@Lilypad, other than reading and writing I don't do much. Eating, sleeping, chillin with my dog, hiking, and just sitting and staring into space (usually when I'm formulating a character or a plot for a story) I guess.
@Lilypad, I took the quiiz and got Gryffandor but I don't feel very brave at all, I think the calm of Ravenclaw would be better, My patronous is a dolphin.
@Impunity June, uhhhh I'm not a babysitter, too immature and irrisponsable
@Aspen, one time my dog killed a rattlesnake! She probably thought it was a tug of war toy or something, Juno left previously mentioned rattlesnake 98% dead and on the doormat. TY and I weren't at our our dad's house at the time so we didn't see this but yeah. Dad had to kill it and he left its body in the forest because we live in the Santa Cruz Mountians and yeah.
@Vyolette, My username was based off of throne of glass, specifically the Valg kings who are kings of darkness
@Pooki P, Eeeeeeeh I write song parodies for class (and have to stand in front o the clas, on my own, and sing them, it's the worst)
@Micearenice, pastery chef or computer/game programmer
@Neko, probably something book related like Mala firebringer or maybe a kname like Tyberious's; Luna Truthseeker
@Lilypad, I love Autmn because when it gets cold you can curl up near the fireplace wit ha steaming mug of tea, some blankets, your dog (or cat) , and a good book.
@Pooki P, rxcp. Yyyyyyeahh.
@Bluebird, I used to play piano but I stopped when my parents got divorced. I started at choir and i think I'm pretty good at it!
@Pooki P, I don't remember any dreams at the moment but I do have a lot of dejavu where I dream something happens and it does! Creepy.
@Fireburst, I use my chromebook to look at the CB, sometimes when I don't have my chromebook I'll use my ipad. I never use my computer because it's really slow and it probably would become really slow if I tried to use cricket. I built my computer with my dad soo it's not a good computer. Ty got lucky and got one of dad's old (11 years old to be more specific) apple computers.
@Soren Infinity, BEST FRIEND I don't have many friends and I can't lose the ones I don't have.
@Everyone (Including admins, if you want), If you could live in a book, TV show, or movie, what would it be? I would live in A Court of Thorns and Roses (by my queen, Sarah J. Maas) and I would live in winter court, helping them search for their high lord Kallias. Most people would pick Velaris, city of starlight but me? Nah I wanna see more of all the courts, maybe I was at Night court first but I visited all of the courts and settled in Winter.
That's a great question, Dakking! I'll have to think about it. . . .

VyoletteParticipant@Darkking- For me, I'd have to say that I would want to live in the world of the Lunar Chronicles. Everything is so technologically advanced, and sure, they have their own problems, but I'd get to see some of my favorite OTPs (Kainder, Cresswell, Jaicinter, and Wolflet) living out their lives right before my eyes! (Wow, that rhymed. Unintentionally. ;))
-
Neko GalaxypetalParticipant@Darkking Well…definitely a fantasy world ‘cause…magic, but not one where as (probably) a background charrie I have a high chance of dying.
-
Tyberious FirestoneParticipantCosmos duh
CosmosProbably Marble hornets… though I would likely die, just, tim, brian, jay, alex, seth, rocky, jessica, amy, those 27 random strangers that Alex murdered… I'd say creepypasta because, WEIRDOS and they would give me space. and…

-
Soren InfinityParticipant27 eons
BeaconTown-Darkking: hmmm, probably Harry Potter. But not Harry himself, just like a random Ravenclaw kid that goes to Hogwarts, gets good grades, wishes they were on the Quidditch team… yeah.

Can we try to ask questions to more than 10 specific CBers? A lot of people are feeling left out when they're not specifically being asked a question.

The Breakfast Kingdom!@Tyberious
1) I thought it looked fun and interesting. Then I found out it was.
2) UHHHHH PASS.
3) A Darker Shade of Magic, Welcome to Night Vale, and They Both Die at the End.
4) Climb REEEEEEEALLY HIGH in a tree. As high as I could.
5) Either a Sloth, A stoat, or Draco.
6) It's good if you can find out where, and bizarre everywhere else.
7) 900,000,000. Not really, but I reeeeeeeally want to see nine hundred million chickens swarm an elephant.
8) I CAN'T TELL YOU IT'S A SECRET. WHAT AM I SAYING? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? No, you're being suspicious!
9) Other wavelengths of light. Either that or people's intent (y'know, like 'not going to kill you' to 'I'm totally going to kill you').
10) No. It is stew if it has milk and just cereal if it doesn't.
11) I know nothing, so probably that.
-
Neko SunsetbreathParticipantR1- I like to connect with others but it’s easier to do online. I got Cricket mag and decided to go on here. And well…I guess once I start something I can’t stop.
2- Ohh…hmm…I’m to hard to represent
3- The His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman is really good!
4- “Wow!” *grabs the stuffed puppy I got the other day* “This is Stardust and he likes baking cookies and is 15! And he’s going to help me in this magical journey the faries set me on. Then I’m gonna become their queen!” (Even at five years old I was as storyteller)
5- Some kind of wildcat
6- Traps, rebels and wish fulfillment but also a place where you can be anyone.
7- Depends on how smart the chickens are.
8- When people come up with fictional worlds they really are recording real ones.
9- How I really feel about them.
10- No
11- I would teach them my observations on the human heart and mind, how there is a light in every dark and how to make art show what the spoken word cannot.
-
CockleburrParticipantAAHHHHH YES SOMEONE ELSE WHO LIKES HIS DARK MATERIALS!!! I'm SO excited! That's my favorite series! Have you read The Book of Dust yet? If not you totally should. It's super good!

VyoletteParticipant@Tyberious
1.) What was your reason to join cricket? And what was your inspiration to continue? I love the magazine, and the CB looked fun! Plus, I had started getting into writing a lot more, and I (and also my parents) wanted a safe, secure environment for me to share my writing in. And I stayed just because! The CB is a wonderful place. 🙂
2.) What is your favorite quote that represents YOU? Hmmmmmmm. Probably, "Quiet people have the loudest minds," by Stephen King
3.) Book recommendations (seriously I just finished a book and don't want to wait for the next one to come out :l) The Keeper of the Lost Cities series by Shannon Messenger! There are six big, thick books already released, but book number seven comes out this fall, and the other two will come out in later years.
4.) If your five-year-old self suddenly found themselves inhabiting your current body, what would your five-year-old self do first? XD Um, probably raid the freezer for a cookie, because they could finally reach the handle.
5.) What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse? Uh, a cat?
6.) In one sentence, how would you sum up the internet? A world completely in itself.
7.) How many chickens would it take to kill an elephant? Probably a lot…?
8.) What secret conspiracy would you like to start? I actually did start one a while ago, but it wasn't for evil purposes. XD It was "The Secret Order Of the Lost Forest", designed to protect wildlife from extinction and whatnot. I thought it up when I was like 10. XD
9.) What’s invisible but you wish people could see? (this is probs just me XD) Everything that I can think of that I know is invisible, I'd like to stay invisible. XD Take dead skin cells, for example.
10.) Is cereal soup? Noooooo…?
11.) If someone asked to be your apprentice and learn all that you know, what would you teach them? Everything that I know, duh.
-
Viola?ParticipantSecret
Secret1. The… magazine? That would be an issue my aunt sent me many, many years ago that I read long after I received it. I asked my mom for a subscription upon finishing. The CB, though, I don't really remember.
3. ALL OF THEM.
In a more short-term sense, The Lightning Queen, The Hundred Dresses, The Ordinary Princess, The Book Thief (but you've probably read that already), Tales from Outer Suburbia, Inside Out and Back Again, Hatchet, A Tale Dark and Grimm, and Adventures of a Cat-Whiskered Girl.
5. A sparrow. I want to know if it could still fly.
7. Depends what kind of chicken.
8. I start conspiracies all the time. Most of them consist of "this person was killed/kidnapped in ridiculous circumstances" and are disproven within 48 hours.
10. That probably depends on your definition of soup, but for me, no.
11. Even if they made it through the long period of watching, reading and listening to everything that I can remember (which is a lot), I might not, but if both of us got out okay, they might go on to learn a lot about the arts, science, and probably some profound stuff I can't think of right now.
Mexi says ciia. Would you start a CIA conspiracy, Mexi?

BeaconTown1. Um, well I get the mag and I learned about the CB, and it sounded cool, so I joined! I keep going on here because I legit can't imagine what my life was like before this wonderful, beautiful place of unique fabulousness.
2. Hmm. Something super wise that says something about being unique. Or something like that.
3. My Diary from the Edge of the World, Unwantends, Every Soul a Star, and The Trail were really good.
4. FREAK. OUT.
5. A book, duh.
6. AAAAAAA YA rhdhbvwnk eqvbgmv drdkjthxajnrjkkfd.
7. Ten zombie-sized chickens. Because references.
8. Whaaaaaaat that's crazy I'm not up to anything! Especially not hoarding aliens in my basement to collect information about life on exoplanets… hehehe.
9. Love. not tangible, but ever-present love. Then people can see that it's always there. … If that's not too happy.
10. I mean, if the brand of your cereal is called Soup, then yes, I suppose it's soup, and if you prefer hot, salty, oily water in your cereal to milk, I suppose that's soup as well, but…
11. Here's what I'd tell them: "life can suck sometimes, kid, but you just gotta be positive and hold on to what you love. Oh, and zebras are white with black stripes. It's a fact. Or at least, a fact in my opinion."
-
Impunity JaneParticipant1.) I saw something about Kyngdom in the magazine.
2.) When one door closes, open it. It's a door, that's how they work.
3.) The Chrestomanci books by Diana Wynne Jones. My favorites are Charmed Life and The Lives of Christopher Chant.
4.) Probably fall over, as she wouldn't be used to her new size.
5.) A waterbear.
6.) "…Why?" I realize it's not a full sentence, but I don't care.
7.) A lot.
8.) The moon isn't real.
9.) A very very rough idea of what people think of you. Just the sort of the thing that when I irrationally worry that people are judging me I could be like "There, you see, Jane? They don't dislike you."
10.) Only if you're a monster.
11.) All that I know? What other answer could I give?
-
FireburstParticipant1.) I can’t really remember, but I stayed because it was nice.
2.) I don’t think there is one.
3.) Wings of Fire and Survivors. That’s all I can think of right now.
4.) Well, one time I wrote a letter to my five-year-old self, so hopefully I would read it. Them=n I would climb up on something high and look down at everything.
5.) A cat.
6.) Be careful.
7.) Like a million or so.
8.) I’m not sure, but it would probably involve writing angry letters under fake names to authors who kill my favorite book characters. Or something like that.
9.) Dark energy. And while we’re at it, it would be nice to be able to see dark matter as well.
10.) It depends on how much milk you put in. *Math equation* (m = Milk, c = cereal). If m >/= c, m + c = Soup. If m =/< c, m + c = Stew. If m = 0, then m + c = Cereal.
11.) First I’d say “I don’t know very much.” Then I would teach them the secrets of the universe.

DarkkingParticipantWho knows?

1.) What was your reason to join cricket? And what was yor inspiration to continue?
Storm Windwhisperer showed the magestic Cricket magazene to me and what made me continue writing was my love of writing and you guys!
2.) What is yor favorite quote that represents YOU?
Sometimes I pretend to be normal.
But it gets boring.
So I go back to being me.
3.) Book recomendations (seriously I just finished a book and dont want to wait for the next one to come out :l)
Divergent.
4.) If your five-year-old self suddenly found themselves inhabiting your current body, what would your five-year-old self do first?
Climb onto the roof and get stuck.
5.) What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse?
A dog.
ONWARD FLEETFOOT, TO BATTLE.
6.) In one sentence, how would you sum up the internet?
Fun but terrifying.
7.) How many chickens would it take to kill an elephant?
One.
Giant.
Chicken.
8.) What secret conspiracy would you like to start?
There is a way to get transported into a book, by dying.
9.) What’s invisible but you wish people could see? (this is probs just me XD)
Luna's creatures. SHE'S NOT CRAZY!!!!
10.) Is cereal soup?
Yes. Obviously.
11.) If someone asked to be your apprentice and learn all that you know, what would you teach them?
Me: *talking about the chatterbox* Everything the light touches is ours
Apprentice: What about that shadowey stuff?
Me: That is also our. Everything is ours.

Licensed BookwormParticipantHello everyone! I'm about to answer a ton of questions, so without further ado, let's get down to business(to defeat the Huns)! XDSorry if I missed any or if they are out of order…I tried my best. I'm also on my phone and kind of tired, so this may be full of typos and run on sentences.@VyI run cross-country and track, initially because of my lack of coordination, but now because I love to run. I mean, I hate it in the moment because, well, running. It's hard to explain. XD@LilyPadI do love to read and write! My other hobbies including practicing my French, playing piano, singing, playing with my dog, running, eating, baking, among others. I'm also trying to journal more often.@LilyPadI'm a Ravenclaw through and through! My patronus is either some sort of cat or an otter, I don't quite remember. The Pottermore test from the old site gave me an otter and the new one gave me a cat if I remember correctly.@Impunity JaneYes, I've done both! I highly recommend mother's helper-ing for pre-teens(I did it when I was 11 and 12). It's a perfect way to build a relationship with kids while building your skills. A parent is always nearby in case of emergency, which relieves a bit of the stress. So tip number one, start off being a mother's helper!I would also highly recommend taking a babysitter's course. Parents and guardians like to see some form of certification before they hand their kid off to you, especially if you aren't related/close family friends.Tip number three is to be prepared with tactics to calm children, especially when babysitting(as opposed to mother's helper). I've discovered that basic yoga moves work wonders with five year old kids. They love a challenge, it involves their bodies, and it's constantly changing so they won't get bored for a while. My final tip is to try and repeat families so you can build a relationship with the parents and the kids. It'll make the job much more mangeable and the kids, if they're older, will begin to recognize you as an "adult" and a friend!@BluebirdThis is a repeating event, but sometimes the way my dog holds his frisbee makes it look like he has a beak.@VyOh, geez, that's a good question. Its been FOUR YEARS since my initial appearance on the CB as Young Writer, so I'm having a bit of a hard time remembering. I think YW came from the NaNo Young Writer's program, but I'm really not sure. Licensed Bookworm was something my teacher called me once for reading a lot and it stuck!@PookiI'm not a songwriter persay, although I have written a few piano pieces that should never be heard. Ever.@JwynI do love Ski Lodges, although in a bit of an odd way. I always seem to miss the sign-ups, but I enjoy getting some popcorn and reading everything once they've reached several pages, especially the originals. Is that weird? XDI also love SIs, reading about people's accomplishments (like NaNo), and simply talking to everyone!@MiceareniceMy dream job is to be a proofreader at a local newspaper. I love grammar and spelling, even though on here I'm not the best because I don't always read everything through as thoroughly as I should. The enviroments in all the newsrooms/offices I've been in have been exactly what I thrive in. Hopefully I can make it happen!@NekoThat's a hard one! Possibly Lily. Or Genevieve, which is my friend's French class name. I'm happy with what I've got though!@ Viola?Genevieve buddies! XD@LilyPadI would have to say early summer, spring, fall, and early winter. Or maybe I just can't pick. XD I also bullet journal! I've lost the habit of doing it daily, but I'm setting up my school planner to be in a bullet journal format of sorts.@Soren InfinityBest friend!@FireburstI'm writing this on my phone, but I usually use an iPad with a bluetooth keyboard connected to it. However, I'll be getting a laptop from my school and may use that in the future.@PookixureI'm not sure what that's supposed to say! XD@Tyberious1.) What was your reason to join cricket? And what was your inspiration to continue?
I think I stumbled upon the CB by accident. I had been getting Cricket for a few months and of course had seen the CB mentioned here and there. I came to the cricketmagkids site for some other purpose and clicked on Ladybug(I think) instead of one of the other characters. She brought me here and I decided to poke around. Four years later, I'm still here because of the wonderful community that is the CB.
2.) What is your favorite quote that represents YOU?
I don't really know about the representing me part. I'll think on it. For now, here are some of my general favorite quotes.
"Never judge a book by its movie." -Idk
"I have confidence in sunshine. I have confidence in rain."- The Sound of Music
"You have so many extraordinary gifts; how can you expect to lead an ordinary life?"- Louisa May Alcott
3.) Book recomendations (seriously I just finished a book and dont want to wait for the next one to come out :l)
Here's some of my favorites across many genres. I avoided Harry Potter and the like to try and avoid listing books you've already read.
Big Little Lies(see my review on the Random Recommendations thread in BaB for warnings), Heartless, The Neverending Story, and The Book Thief.
I definitely failed at the lesser known book part of that. My mind went completely blank!
4.) If your five-year-old self suddenly found themselves inhabiting your current body, what would your five-year-old self do first?
Panic.
And then run around and get stuff from the highest shelf.
5.) What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse?
Uh…a dog?
6.) In one sentence, how would you sum up the internet?
You need to be careful, but it can open you up to new worlds.
7.) How many chickens would it take to kill an elephant?
A bunch?
8.) What secret conspiracy would you like to start?
Something that would make people nicer. Like a conspiracy that your entire future depends on how kind you are at any given time. Does that count as a conspiracy? XD
9.) What’s invisible but you wish people could see? (this is probs just me XD)
I'm pretty good with invisible things staying invisible.
10.) Is cereal soup?
No.
11.) If someone asked to be your apprentice and learn all that you know, what would you teach them?
Everything I know, I guess.
@Everyone
Which three fictional character would you go on a road trip with?
If you could meet any author, living or dead, who would you meet?
-
Licensed BookwormParticipantSorry that there aren't any spaces in between the end of the last answer and the "@_______". I wrote this somewhere else and copied it over, forgetting about the format switch.

-
MiceareniceParticipant@Rogue Wildling – This might seem like a random question, but…What are your thoughts on the Twilight Saga (if you have read it)?
(By the way, anyone can answer this question, though I probably know what most of your answers are going to be xD)
