Day 3-
Soren decided they had better watch out after the previous day’s events. She stayed confined in her room, reading a book and writing.
Jwyn’s body had been inspected carefully. No traces were found, but she clearly died painfully. Throughout the day her coffin lay floating, am almost ominous presence.
Soon after breakfast, Darkking decided to go visit his friend. Dreamwalker said he could go into their room if they said he could.
“You doing okay?” He asked, trying to smile. Soren looked up.
“Yeah.” They sighed. The two CBers looked at each other for a second, then resumed awkward silence.
Esthelle sat in silence. She had spent the whole morning pondering who could do such a thing, yet nothing had become clear yet. The teen reached for her satchel, finding what she needed and inhaling the familiar scent.
Perhaps bribery…perhaps the influence of others…possibilities everywhere…
Winter however, was determined to not let the depression spread. She went with Moonlight to check out the obstacle course that had showed up recently, persuading Harliquin to come along.
“Harli…” Will started hesitantly.
“Yeah?” The other ghost said, turning around.
Will bit his lip anxiously “…never mind. It’s nothing.”
Winter brushed blue hair out of her face. “Come on!” she whined impatiently, bouncing around.
The group rushed ahead, branches trying to tear and claw at them. Leafy green foliage draped around every corner, slapping them in the face. But suddenly, in the middle of all the wilderness, a clearing became visible.
Winter grinned, disappearing into…something. The other two shrugged, following.
Moonlight’s eyes opened wide as she raced through a tunnel, her feet slapping against the hard plastic bottom. There was a turn ahead…she would reach it soon. And past that turn there had to be something exciting. Her light violet eyes opened wide, straining to see. It was strangely loud. And then something slammed into her. The CBer gasped, trying to breathe. And sadly, failing to breathe.
Kitten, Darkking and Seal were standing outside the D&D building when Winter came running towards them.
“Next time I’ll DM…what the heck!” Kitten exclaimed, orange spreading across her cat ears.
“Moonlight…Harliquin…they’re…” Winter gasped for breath, but understanding flashed across all faces.
Kitten walked numbly back with Winter, comforting her companion. Darkking however, barely made into Will’s room.
“I…I’m sorry.”
A cry of grief and a cry of rage, piercing the air. The sun set, bringing even more darkness with it.

Murderous foes they so nimbly conceal

Cumbersome secrets a ghost cannot bear

Now poetic verse is all I can reel

These traitors are turning this dream a nightmare
