Sorry for posting twice in a row, but no one has posted for a few days and I don't want this to die. Also, this is pretty small.

"What was that?" Chyla asked, standing up and turning on her scouter. "Let's see … Looks like a big puppy is fighting a guy in a hazmat suit over there. Do you know either of them, Ki? I think you were talking about …" Chyla froze as her scouter picked up a specific energy source. "Ohnonopleaseno." she wispered. "Not them. Not again. Please, not again."

The android stepped out of the shadows and walked towards Gamma and the hatmat guy. "Situation updated." It said in a metallic voice, drawing a katana in each hand. "Chance of losing target in confusion: 45.6% Calculating best course of action … Course found. Eliminate all obstacles, beginning with cause of confusion." The android leapt toward Gamma, its swords glowing purple from their acidic Infusers.

With pandemonium broken out like acne on the teenage face of most humans and the man in the hazmat man sufficiently, um, put out of action, I step back to admire my work, but not for long. A slight, acidic, bubbling sound fills the air. I turn just in time to see a ton of men in black jump towards me, weapons purple and glowing and DRAWN AND READY TO ATTACK. My frill starts to vibrate and I growl, blood dripping from my jaws. My ruff lifts and I can almost feel the burning rage shining madly from my eyes. I believe this is what would be called 'beast mode'. They've pushed me too far, the madmen. One lands just next to me, katana cracking the ground with the sheer force of his strike. the others surround me. I count twenty. I look at the man next to me. He's pried his weapon out of the ground and is watching me carefully, katana raised. I lash my tail, and he jumps to the side. Jumpy. Fast. I size him up. Strong. Possibly the leader; either that or the most skilled. I sniff. The acid – I know it. My growl turns into some sort of mocking laugh. That's no ordinary acid. That's Hydrozinc. Ohhhhh, you've made a grave mistake, madmen. I think I'll just wait this fight out. I sit down. Shock appears on the man's face, but he attacks anyway. The blade cuts through my thick fur, but not well. It doesn't break the skin that deeply. The wound should heal by the end of the day. My laugh grows louder and more insane. I get up and start to walk slowly towards the man, his fellows looking at each other with sheer terror on their faces. Hydrozinc is strong enough to kill (almost) anything within seconds, no matter how big or strong the opponent may be. However, these assasins must not be versed in the characteristics of the most rare and possibly the most powerful type of mutant there is on this bomb-flattened, life-forsaken wasteland that people once called 'Earth'.

"Run, filth." I whisper hoarsely.

"Power level unknown, retreat immediately!" One man shrieks and they disperse, jumping out of windows and cramming through doorways. I am now alone in this place, with the exeption of 531, Ki, who is up on a rafter, and the two girls, who are hiding behind a crate.

"Gamma good now." I declare, sitting down in front of 531's door. He's still asleep.

"Are we going to get attacked everywhere you go, Gamma?" I ask cautiously, leaping down from the rafters. "Because if so, I might need to rethink this partnership."

"You not in any partnership with Gamma," Gamma snaps gruffly. "Gamma keep 531 safe. That is all."

"Then is this a bad time to mention that I picked up a few more Eden hopefuls while you were scaring away patrons?"

"She needn't take all the blame for the chaos," Chyla speaks up. "I was the target of those androids, not her. And I can understand if you don't want to work with me either."

"No, no, no, I don't have a problem working with anybody," I raise my arms in defense. "I'm sure you're all wonderful people, targets or not. It's just that if we hang around in big population centers like this one, we're pretty much asking for trouble. Right now we should probably get out of Wreaks and go some place where nobody wants to kill us."  

"You mean we're not staying the night here?"

"Too risky. If those androids know we're here they could easily come back with reinforcements. Not to mention this whole town seems to have it out for a certain canine."

"I thought you said you couldn't travel at night, Ki."  

"Usually not. But given the circumstances, I can make this work." 

I insert my shortsword back into its scabbard and turn a small rotary switch on the side. A dull snapping sound is heard as my steel blade is swapped out with a different one. I draw the sword again, this time with a silicon blade that is only a few inches long and ends in an angled square point. I take a moment to brace myself, and plunge the blade into the back of my neck. It hurts for just a few seconds before the pain dissipates. 

"Now why would you go and do something like that?" Carson wonders, with more bemused curiosity than concern in his voice.

"My scabbard is equipped with solar panels," I explain. "They collect light energy during the day and store it in my silicon blade at night. Then I can use it as a last-resort energy source if I need to, like a battery. I don't have to do this very often, so we're lucky there was a lot of sun today."

"How many blades you got in there, anyway?" 

"Even I don't know the answer to that, I'm afraid. This sword is the last thing I have left of my old master, and he loved his secrets. There's a chance I haven't found all the secrets he left behind yet."

"We should be leaving soon, if we want your plan to work," Chyla says urgently, putting a hand on my shoulder. "Gamma?" she looks at the wolf with lingering wariness. "Would you wake up your friend for us so we can get going?"

"Oh and by the way, I have a tank," mentions Lucy.

"Waitaminute, you have a TANK?" Chyla said excitedly. "An actual working tank? Can I see it? Please?" "Of course, once we get there." Lucy answered. "Then let's get going already! I need to see the tank!" Chyla ran towards the door, then stopped. "Where is it anyway?" "It might be better if we ALL go see the tank." Ki said. "Yeah, you're right." "By the way, you said you were being hunted by those things. What are they?" "I – I don't really want to talk about it now." Chyla sat down and turned away, her excitement disappearing. "Tell me when you're ready."

"Report recieved from Shilari unit 238." The android folded up the portable reciever and jumped down to the other android. "Active camo usable, but ineffective. Camo units showed signs of emotion." "Then the camo is unuseable. Emotion is inacceptable." "New mutant was also detected guarding target. Power level incalculable due to weapon ineffectiveness. Unit 238 remaining on target to collect new data. One of the target's protectors also is in posession of a tank." "Tell unit 238 to not engage until ordered to, but to send all data on unknown mutant for analysis. Then find the tank and destroy it." "Acknowledged." The first android leapt back up onto the rock and ran off. The second android opened another portable radio and began transmitting binary code towards the west.

Honestly, I have no idea how to insert my character in the situation, but I'll try.

Aries~

Time: 6:43 pm

Date: March 26th, 3067

Location: Harison St, Wreaks settlement, 15 kilometers away from Mars.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw a fight break out in the street. Something about a wolf thing, I believe. CONDUCTING INVESTIGATION. STATUS: AGRESSIVE FORCE WAS USED ON A SCIENTIST IN ORDER TO FREE AN AMALGAMATION. OUTCOME: SUCCESS FOR AGRESSOR. FURTHER SURVEILLANCE IS RECOMENDED PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

As I follow the group into a pub I notice them go different ways. The Plant man goes of with two children MIGHT BE A PE- shut up Athena I'm keeping track of them. The VAS goes off somewhere, and the Amalgamation goes onto the rafters. Suddenly, a group of rouges enter the room

The androids, and everyone else, stampeded out of the restaurant, leaving only myself, the plant guy, the VAS, the Amalgamation Gamma, who's name I learned as it was shouted during the brief brawl, and the two girls hiding behind a crate. 

"-be better if we ALL go see the tank", one of the girls said. Wait a minute. She has a TANK?! Slowly I stand up from where I was sitting and walk toward the group. Gamma notices my presense and snarls. And with that, everyone in the bar is staring at me, the VAS points his EM7 in my direction. "Who the Heck are you and how long were you standing there?" "If you would stop pointing the EM7 at my head and I'll tell you."

"Alright. If we want to travel to some place in northern Alaska, we're going to have to train. Plant Man, I'll help you with your swordsmanship, and Gamma I have ideas that might be able to put those tentacles to good use. 531, how good are you with that EAR-45?" "Good enough." "Just because your aim is good enough and your targeting systems are functional does not mean your aim can't be improved. You'll be suprised at how much your aim sucks when the systems aren't functioning." "Plant Man-" "My name is Ki." "-you are going to fight that thing." "What thing?" "That," I said pointing towards the the forest. A bear-like creature came out of the woods, running full speed at us. "but I'm slugggish at night. You fight that thing." "Ki, that is the reason why we're in this field at night. To train your mind and muscles so that there is no difference between you in the night and day." "Now slay it before it kills you." "Are you serious?!?" "Yes. Why would I not be?" ~
