Swift~
Up ahead I see light, presumably the light of a campfire. The bunting gestures to the line of trees.
"You said you wanted to be a spy, right? Let's see how good you are." I nod in understanding and run stealthily to the nearest tree, weaving my way closer align with Crystal to the camp. The trees are thick here, and I know well to steer clear from any twigs that may snap and give away my position. The leader sees Crystal.
"Welcome, General Permafrost… Where is your companion? You said in your letter you would be bringing another."
"She and I were separated, but she knows where I am. She will probably be here shortly." A good lie, well told. She must have prepared it ahead of time. I smile.

"She and I were separated, but she knows where I am. She will problably be here shortly." General Permafrost replied.
"Ah, I see." My eyes flahed, for I knew what I had seen.
A shadow, behind a tree from where the general had stepped into the clearing. I decided to keep quiet, it might be an ambush, and if so, I wanted to alert all the camp there was something lingering in the trees around our clearing.
I padded towards Smooth Stone, and as I passed Laquira I whispered: "There's an animal, or multiple, in the woods around our camp. Stay alert."
She nodded, then padded off, most likely to spread the message.
Once we reached Smooth Stone, Sierran, my deputy, had begun to tag along. Once on the stone itself, I tapped out the message I had said to Laquira earlier in a morse code that was created by the Red Paw.
"So…" said General Permafrost. "You seem to have had a battle. With Catastrophe, I presume?"
"Yes. We lost few. However, Catastrophe seems to have lost more."
"Catastrophe has many armies." The general shook her head solemley. "The ones that were deafeted will soon be replaced."
"More on that matter later." I stared her in the eyes. Sierran had tapped back. The camp was ready for another battle. "Who is the animal hidden in the forest?"

Crystal ~~
"Perhaps my partner has finally caught up," I chirped . I didn't bother to craft a lie, but mostly because I was hoping Swift would get the memo that it was okay to come out now. If Catastrophe attacked the Red Paw… That probably meant they were on our side.
Swift fortunately did understand. She came out of the woods.
"General Permafrost, sorry I was late. Fortunately, I managed to find the trail. Hello…Hunter, I'm assuming? The leader of the Red Paw?" Swift motioned with her talons.
Hunter dips his head. "Yes, I am Hunter. Now that your partner is here, I believe we can begin discussing things."
" I would like to discuss Catastrophe's new method of getting 'recruits', " I request.
"Recruits? This is something I'd like to hear about," Hunter purred.
"He goes around and kidnaps young people and animals, correct? Usually from about ten to twenty years old?" Swift motioned .
"Yes," I chirped, " He kidnaps them, and if they disobey him, he either brainwashes them or punishes them. Speaking of brainwashing, I heard a rumor about two people who managed to resist one of Catastrophe's new methods of brainwashing. "
"Really?" Hunter purrs. " Who? "
"A cyborg named Kimiko and a Homo Aquarius named Machali. They then escaped the prisons of Jokull with a panther named Moonlight. That happened a while ago, and I haven't heard anything about them since."

(Just a quick question, what type of animal is General Permafrost? An owl? And Swift?)
Hunter~~
"That happened a while ago, and I haven't heard anything about them since." General Permafrost chirped.
I nodded slowly. Homo Aquarius? Haven't seen one of those is awhile… that's odd. What other creatures does Catastrophe have?
"And do we have any idea what this brainwashing machine is? Or where it is?" I asked.
"We guessed the prisons of Jokull or Catastrophe's base."
"And have you scouted the area yet?"
"No, we're still waiting for more evidence of it being in either of the places." Swift had jumped in.
"So, meanwhile, is there a certain location where the recruitments are happening? If there is… we could always set up defense near that area." Sierran spoke up, his great mane framing his concerned face.

General Permafrost is a snow bunting, and Swift is a Leaflyt, a furry, dragon-like creature that stands at about a foot tall at the head and has the potential to kill you swiftly or slowly, whichever the Leaflyt prefers at the moment. Oh and also Leaflyts are mute.

Thanks, Night Whispers. So… does Swift use some sort of sign language or something else to communicate? Just so I can write her speech correctly!

She writes and she signs. If there's earth that's soft enough and deep enough she'll write, sometimes she'll scratch in tree bark, but the latter is reserved for if she is "talking" about something unimportant or is trying to throw somebody off.
AKA she signs most of the time.

Crystal~~
"Up north, I believe. Around the same area where all the bombings are happening." I replied. "We've tried getting some defense up there, but we keep getting bombed. It's crazy up there."
"Maybe we should have a spy mission to Jokull. Perhaps if the Resistance can take back Jokull, we can put an end to the bombings." Hunter suggests.
"Good idea," Swift motions. " I'd be willing to go. "
Suddenly, a pangolin with a FAFA badge and a speaking machine appears. "Sorry to interrupt," He types, " But I heard about the spy mission and I'd be willing to go. As a member of FAFA, of course. "
"Good to know. By the way, that's Bomani. Either I I'd another Red Paw member could go." Hunter purrs.
" I can lead it. I've led numerous other missions in the area around Jokull. " I chirp.

(Sorry, I've been really busy lately. I literally just remembered I havn't been on here in a while.)
Hunter~~~
"I'm sure Shenra can go, along with his apprentice. I can also send Tailen and Merlinia." I turned to Sierran. "Could you go find them and bring them back here?"
Sierran nods and pads away. As the great lion moved away, I looked back at Crystal. "I advise either a moonhigh mission or a sunrise mission."
Swift motioned quickly to the general.
"Ah, yes. They would work perfectly. Why don't you go fetch them…" Crystal told her, and the small leaflyt scampered back into the woods. "Swift is fetching a few reinforcements."
I cocked my head at Bomani. "Anyone from the FAFA willing to come on the mission?"
"Possibly. Do you have any means of communication?" the pangolin asked.
"I could send Roman. Quite a fast creature." I heard a stifled laugh as the animals I had requested climbed up the stone next to me. Shenra, the eagle, and his apprentice, Virgil, the raven had appeared, along with Tailen, the tarantula, and Merlinia, the owl.
"We're ready whenever." cawed Shenra, his deep, soothing voice relaxing me slightly.
"You'll be leaving at moonhigh tomorrow night. Get rest and," I looked pointedly at Virgil, "listen to the lead of the mission."
Merlinia fixed her amber eyes on Crystal, then turned sharply towards thhe others.
"Come along." she chirped briskly, and led the small group off Smooth Stone.

Crystal~~
It is the next night and we are ready to leave.
"Is evryone ready?" I chirp. Merlinia , the owl, nods. "The Red Paw is ready."
Bomani nods. " Unfortunately, the other FAFA agents were busy. But I'm here. " He types. Swift motions yes.
As we are about to set off, there is a loud howl.
"That means danger," Tailan, a tarantula , says. The group of us look around. There is a series of sharp barks.
"And that means Catastrophe," Merlinia says. "Two nights in a row–there must be some sort of plan."
I fly above the trees to get a better view, Swift and Merlinia by my side. There is a group of soldiers, wearing the black and red uniforms that mark them as part of Catastrophe's army.
"Prepare for a battle," Swift motions below , "Because there are very many soldiers."

Merlinia~
As soon as the signed words reach me, I feel the adreniline of battle coarsing through me. My vision sharpens on the group below us, picking out weak spots.
My eyes fall on their formation. They are in a semi-circle, marching forwards towards where the rest of our group was hidden. I searched the group, wondering if any… important figures… had come along for the ride.
"Let's go back to the group." General Crystal Permafrost swoops back through the air, dark wings spreading farther as we glide towards our allies.
I followed the snow bunting, watching Swift move gracefully beside me. She was a peculiar creature, however she seemed like a foucused and well-set fighter.
As we reached the others, there came a loud growling from behind us.
A body of man flew towards us. The bloodied soldier looked as though he had been turned inside out. I recoiled slightly, then turned.
Who– or what– had ripped the man limb from limb and continued with the rest of them?
"Well, I suppose it's now or never…" Virgil spoke.
We leapt into the fray.

"My name is Khan." said the tiger. "And I do not tolerate Men who destroy."
You were just passing by, or are you here for a reason? Swifft signed.
"I'm always somewhere for a reason. Destiny, young leaflet." Khan's eyes flicked to the General. "And I presume you were gathering. You are all clearly not from the same group."
I cocked my head slightly, taking in the large form.
"How do you know that?" I ask.
The tiger just smiled.
"I hope you'll let me accompany you on your mission." He purred.

Swift~
The carnage that this Khan has caused should be taken into consideration, I motion to the General, his motove is just but his execution is sloppy. Crystal nods. She turns to Hunter.
"I believe that, with some training, Khan may be a very good choice of an ally." Khan bristles in outrage.
"I need no training, little bird." He growls. Without fear, General Permafrost looks him straight in the eye with her deeply piercing gaze.
"If you needed no training you would know that when others come to this place and see the wreckage you have caused, they will be able to deduce exactly how big you are, what kind of an animal you are, where you have gone, and where you came from." Crystal scoffed with the manner that only a severely disappointed general can. "And to think all cats are light on their feet. Your claws are rarely retracted, judging by their wear, and therefore your tracks follow you wherever you go. Your muzzle and claws are free of orange fur tufts, yet your hide looks as though it has been rubbed of debris. Khan, you do not take much care to watch where a trace of your presence would be marked by your contact, do you?" By now, the general had had her bought, and Khan's eyes are ablaze with the indignant fire of a child who has seen the err in their rough housing. Soon, he swallows the fire and collects himself.
"Okay, so maybe some training would help, but only if I have a good fighter as a trainer." Khan scans the crowd for any soul that he could deem worthy. His eyes don't even bother to land on me. A flicker of bitterness flashes through me. Hunter looks at Permafrost, smiling as though he knows what's going to happen next.
"Permafrost, do you have any good suggestions?" Crystal's eyes twinkle with a strange light between malice and sincerity. Malice because Khan wouldn't like it, and sincerity because of a good idea.
"Yes, Hunter, I do." What happens next catches both me and Khan by surprise. "Swift! You will mentor Khan. Make sure to teach him brutally, he must learn all within a few hours." As I step forwards, Khan's eyes bulge. Crystal only looks at me, her gaze orderly, like she's giving assessment to a soldier. "We do not have time for his training to span multiple days."
