I'm a bit late to this conversation haha, but my first day of school is tomorrow! Yikes. I do online school and have since last year (but before that I was solely homeschooled), but the organization my classes are run by is actually through my local school district. So I have to start at the same time as all the other public schoolers, and take similar classes as the other kids in my grade. This year my core classes are English II, Biology, World History, and Algebra I, and my elective is Phy Ed. I know that Phy Ed taught online must sound weird or impossible haha, but as far as I can tell, I mostly just have to keep a log of all the exercise I do throughout the week, which has to include so many minutes of cardio and strength training, etc., and have my parents sign off on it. But we'll see how that goes.

I go to school pretty big public high school. It has about 1,000 – 1,500 people, I don't know the exact number; definitely closer to 1,500 though! I take all honors core classes, which means that I take advanced English and Chemistry, I'm a year ahead in math, and I'm taking AP (Advanced Placement; usually a college course) European History. I'm also in marching band, second year engineering, and Latin (which is the class I'm in right now). Needless to say, I'm pretty busy! (That's part of the reason why I'm so inactive on here lol) School started about 3 weeks ago for me.

Soooo my first day of school was today! It was overall really good, except for one awkward moment when I told my friend I liked his haircut and he just. Didn't respond. He said later he didn't hear me but I still felt really stupid lol.

I didn't have all my classes today, but the ones I did have I mostly like. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Art History, I can already tell it's going to be my favorite. We have class in the art studio and we're going to get to do actual drawing and painting as part of the class, and the teacher is SO COOL and so nice and treats us like adults and it's mostly discussion based and ahh I love it.

My French classroom is tiny and freezing cold but the class itself seems fine. English is going to be such an easy ride this year, which I have mixed feelings about. I have a bunch of friends in that class, so it's going to be great. I heard that my Chem teacher is really chill, which is good, but I'm still worried about Algebra… Well, I'll find out tomorrow.

So, today was my 3rd day of school… and it didn't go so great. At all. 

Nor did my 1st day, or my 2nd day of school. 

I just got back from a vacation at the Oregon Coast, which was fun, so I really hoped that school would go better today than my 1st day of school and my 2nd day of school, but honestly? It didn't. I only have 3 classes at the high school, because I'm hal homeschooled, but… yeah. Just not fun.

I've been feeling left out of almost all of my classes, and the only place I feel good is at 1st lunch for the moment. Key word: for the moment. Because my friends are there, and I feel accepted. 

My first day I made a fool of myself by tripping over some desks (and my backpack on the way back from our cubbies,) and in front of some cute boys. So that really started off my first day of school not good. Also, I was already freaking out because I didn't know what lunch I had, and I couldn't remember my schedule at all, (remember, I only have 3 classes,) so yeah, that wasn't the best. And then I found out that in my 6th hour, one of my best friends wasn't going to be there AT ALL, so that really sucked… and overall it was not the best day.

2nd day of school went just a little better, but only just. Still not good, still felt left out in my 2 classes.

Today as my 3rd day of school, again, still feel left out. Everyone knows each other because they've had 5 days of school and I've only had 3, (because I missed 2 days to go to the Oregon Coast,) and yeah. Still haven't figured out my lunch yet, and I don't like the new teacher that I might have for 4th period. And I thought we would have a seating chart for 5th period, which would be nice, because then I wouldn't have to feel left out anymore because then people wouldn't go in their "cliques," but we didn't, so that was frustrating, and I couldn't figure out a stupid math problem at all… and yeah. 

Anyways. The 3 classes I take are Seminary, French 4, (I've been taking it for 3 years, and this is my 4th year) and Math (Pre-Cal.) Ugh.

Sorry to bring my frustrations on y'all. Hope school is going better for y'all than it is for me anyways.

I'm starting high school tomorrow, which should be interesting. Our school is really, really big, so I'm kind of worried about getting lost. I go to publich school, which is fun, and this year I'm taking Honors World History, French I, Honors English I, Honors Algebra II, Journalism, and AP Physics I. I'm super excited about journalism, because I love writing and I have it with a few of my friends. I'm a bit nervous for Algebra, because my school does something weird where you take Algebra I, then Geometry, then Algebra II, so it's been a year since I've taken Algebra, and Physics, because it's a college class and seems pretty hard, since I'm not a big science person. Overall, though, I'm excited, and it'll certainly be an experience!

I'm currently a sophomore in high school, and boy is it different from freshman year! I have a lot more work, but I enjoy my classes a lot more! I go to a private school, so the classes are pretty small, and I really love my teachers this year. I'm taking Advanced Algebra & Pre-Calculus (which is actually quite fun; I didn't think it would be), World Civilizations, Drawing, Creative Writing, Spanish III, English II, and AP Chemistry! Is anyone else taking the same, or similar courses? 

I also go to a very tiny private school. Not a religious one, though. I'm taking a lot of classes this year–Math, Global Studies, Earth Science, English, Art, Portfolio Art, Japanese, and that's all I can remember off the top of my head.

There's a sort of different schedule this year. We have meetings and stuff in the morning instead of the afternoon, and classes later in the day. It's definitely going to take some getting used to. There isn't any risk of having to start chores late, but there's no opportunity to start them early, either… I'm not sure if I like it, but we'll have to wait and see.
