DolphinGirlParticipantAnyhing by Raina Telgemeier is good. Also, Terri Libenson's books, if they count as graphic novels, which they might not. And Roller Girl and All's Faire in Middle School by Victoria Jamieson.

KitsuneParticipantI'm surprised no one's mentioned Nimona yet, it's one of the more well known graphic novels starring a shapeshifting villian sidekick to the evil Ballister Blackheart as they go up against the Insituation and their hero of Ambrosius Goldenlion, in reality it's a lot less black and white but it has lots of great humor and heart and the art while simplistic is still good. It's also written by the director of She Ra, Noelle Stevenson (who is also married to the author of Witch Boy so they more you know.)

KitsuneParticipantOh I'm so sorry, I skimmed your post and didn't see it, but then again it's such a good book that it deserves to be shouted out twice
-
SurroundedByBooks ParticipantOh yeah I LOVE Nimona! Also, have you read Noelle Stevenson's Lumberjanes graphic novels? I love them soooo much. Great diverse characters and very funny.

the only real graphic novel i've ever read was one I think was called "mercury" and it was good but also kind of confusing. Sorry, I know this probably isn't very helpful.

ApplejaguarParticipantWisteriaAnother super amazing webcomic is Namesake, a beautiful fantasy comic with a lot of complicated stuff going on in it. And also El Goonish Shive, which is probably not exactly CB-appropriate and starts out bad but gets super super good and sweet and funny and interesting. Warning, though: Both of these webcomics are very long and very addictive.

LeeliParticipantThank you so much everyone who’s responded! I’ll definitely try to check some of these out, they sound great. Viola? and applejaguar, I’m really glad you mentioned webcomics, because I’ve actually been wondering about getting into those too, lately. Are there any you would recommend starting with for someone who’s new to webcomics?

EarthLike many people on here, I really like graphic novels but haven't read too many. Some that I liked are: Smile, Sisters, and Drama( 3 separate books) by Raina Telgemier, All's Faire in Middle School( I don't remember the author's name), Be Prepared by Vera Brosgol, and Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy( all 1 book, it's a modern version of the book Little Women, but shortened, with some things changed from the origianal) by Rey Terciero & Bre Indigo.
