AMYTHEST'S POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I looked up at Climbing High and sighed. I was beginning my 10th year here. However, I really hated it here. I had never made any friends. Nobody here shared my love of studying. However, this was going to be the first year I would be sharing a dorm with other students. Maybe I would finally make some friends!
LYRA'S POV
I burst through the door of Climbing High and ran to the Emerald Dorm. I couldn't wait! This year I was in 11th grade, which meant that I was almost the oldest in the school! To top it off, this year my best friend would be in the same dorm! Yay!
LuminaraParticipantI'm so bad at keeping promises. I'm super sorry! I've been extremely busy, recently studying for a huge chemistry quiz. Anyways… Is it alright if I write that a character does something instead of doing “I do this and that”? For example; “Adrianna did this and that”?
I'll start my first post doing it, but if you want me to change it, I will. Sorry if I did anything wrong. I didn't have enough time to look over everything.
Adrianna Mae Robinson~
Adrianna walked over to the courtyard, gazing upon all the flowers. She set down her backpack and stopped and stared at a singular flower, a sunflower. She looked up into the sky, hearing screaming and yelling coming from the sky. It appeared to be a flying student with wings with a person, appearing to be a female. She recognized him by seeing him walking in the hall a few times. I think Owen said his name was Treetop, or something… Adrianna thought to herself. She smiled and skipped along, minding her own business but she really did think it was cool. Adrianna then grabbed her backpack and left.
Adrianna skipped around, trying to find her older brother, Owen. She skipped off to the Library, almost always finding him hiding out there. She quietly hummed a small tune to herself, thinking of playing it on the piano.
Adrianna opened the door and peeked into the Library, not seeing Owen, but other students. She shrugged to herself and closed the door, heading for the Preforming Arts room. That was her favourite room. She has always loved to play the piano and the violin. She walked up to the door and looked at the door handle, hearing a faint harp playing. She opened the door and walked in, cautiously. She didn't pay much attention to what was on the ground and stumbled to the floor, having her brother stopping from playing the harp and looking over to see the huge noise.
“Whoopsie Daisies…” she mumbled to herself, spitting random flower names under her breath.
“Anna-Mae?” Owen turned and smiled.
Adrianna smiled back, waving to her brother, still on the ground. She looked around, seeing no one else in the roo at the moment.
“Where have you been? I've been worried because I didn't find you in this room or in class,” Owen sighed.
“I was in the courtyard! I saw the Treetop boy you were talking about,” Adrianna smiled.
“Oh, yes. Where did you find him? I needed to return a paper to him the principal game me.”
“I dunno. I think someone was yelling at him. I did find him in the sky while in the courtyard.”
“Oh,” Owen helped his sister up, propping her up on a piano bench, “I'll be off then. Feel free to practice the piano. I'll be right back!”
“Okie-Doki, Artichokie,” Adrianna smiled, placing her hands on the keys of the piano and started playing. She quietly hummed the tune of the melody she was playing, “It's Raining Somewhere Else”. She watched as Owen walked to the door of the Preforming Arts room.
“Let me just…” Owen, being the responsible twenty year old he was, started propping up all the different instruments Adrianna knocked down.
“Wait, Owe?” Adrianna turned to Owen.
“Yes?”
“N-Never mind…”
“If you say so. If you remember, feel free to tell me. I'll be off then!”
“Okay, bye Owe..” Adrianna watched as Owen walked out of the room. She then turned back to the piano and then started playing. She hesitated for a minute, got distracted, and stared at her denim backpack with small animal and flower pins on it. She then shrugged to herself and then began playing once again.
*yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*
"Talonn. Down, Here. NOW." I heard Lukas scolding my sweaty sister, who was probably just trying to get some freedom before the jail time starts.
"Be a little bit easier on her, Lukas." I said, setting my bags down, and letting Periwinkle's hand from my grasp.
"Tch. Like I'll listen to you, four-eyes." He said, pointing to my glasses while taking off his jacket and draping over his shoulder. "You're no match for me."
"Okay then… Freedom.." I said, using the nickname we all had used for him when he was in 12th grade.
"SHUT UP, FOUR-EYES," He said, pushing my shoulder back, harshly.
"Pick on someone your own size." It was Ashola.
"Ah, nice to see you, SG," SG was the nickname we used for her last name.
"Hey there, Shakespeare." She leaned over and gave me a side hug.
"How was your summer?" We waked off from Lukas' temper-tantrum.
"It was nice, but a little boring without you, Shakespeare."
"Yeah, my sister got into 80's rock bands… I can't take anymore Bon Jovi!" That made her laugh. Her laugh sounded like a bell, tinkling with a small shake. I reached out to hold her hand, but then, a bunch of 10 year olds just came bulldozing their way through the ahll. "NO RUNNING!"
"Ugh. Let's go get coffee, okay?" She said, returning my gaze, and leading me to the cafe.
Luminara(Correction)ParticipantWhoops.*her or *Her for Treetop. I'm so sorry! *Girl.
Sorry, hearing the name of “Treetop” made me think of a male, having my friend's nickname being “Treetop”.
La’CrosseParticipantI KNOW RIGHT!? I keep writing "he" because there is a Treetop on my archery. His real name is Aiden. HE'S JUST SUPER TALL. Like 6'11
The MoonLukas
"Ugh, students…" Lukas complained as he bent down to pick up his bag, he dropped it along with his coffee when he saw Talonn flying around.
"Drop your purse Lukie?"
Lukas looked up with annoyance as he saw his brother, Alex, leaning against a wall.
Lukas heaved a huge sigh. "Shouldn't you be buying hair gel somewhere?"
"Don't have to. My hair is naturally this beautiful." Alex replied with a dramatic hair flip. "Anyway, just wanted to tell you- hey, what's with the glare?"
Lukas grabbed his bag and stood up. He moved Alex to the side and took a step forward, to look at the fountain. It was overflowing in multicolored bubbles, soaking everything within ten feet. A small crowd of students had gathered, some taking pictures, some talking quietly, and the rest nervously waiting for his reaction.
He turned to the crowd rather calmly and started studying their faces. After a minute, his eyes locked on Alex, who was trying his best to hold back his laugh, and failing miserably.
Suddenly, the bell sounded. Students dispersed to go to their classes, and Lukas started to head in Alex's direction.
"Heh. Would ya look at that?" Alex said as he admired the fountain.
"Come on." Lukas grabbed Alex and started heading to the principles office.
