Rushing out the door, I hop in the taxi, still braiding my hair. "Be good!" I call to my Æs. I'm going to be on time, maybe I can even help set up. Thankfully, I only live 15 minutes away, so I arrive at 5:55. I check my appearance in the mirror, then walk into the building. I see Jubilee setting up when I take a look around the place. "Hey, can I help?" I ask. As I set down my food and put some balloons up, I see a few other CBers walk in, including Raining Rainbows and Fidelity. I walk out from the dining room. "Hey, guys!"

i say "yea, i guess were they early birds. not to worry,it's gonna fill up FAST." raining rainbows nods and i yell over my shoulder as i start running "BE RIGHT BACK!!!!"  a grab three empty cups and stride over to the chocolate founten and fill the cups by placing the cups under the gooey stream of warm chocolate. i also grabbed a container of strawberries. a race back to the dance floor, skidding to a stop next to RR. i hand them a cup and open the container, grab a fat red strawberrie, and dunk it in the chocolate. i pull of the stem and shove it in my mouth. "mmmmm. ish sho go' i nee' mo'" is all i can say.i swallow and repet my sentance "mmm. it's so good i need more"

i graab enother stawberrie and rip the stem off. wait a second…  i think. i put the cup to my lips and sip. i swallow instently and  say "oh my gosh guys you need to try this! it's so good." they swallow the strawberries in there mouths and each take a small sip from their cups. five minutes later we've each had two cups of stright chocolate. i mumble "i'm done. that was two much chocolate…"

we all burst out laghing. 

this is only gonna get better and better i tell myself. 

Name: Officially, it's Lupa

Outfit/Appearence:  A human with a wolf tail and ears, I am wearing a sleeveless, midnight-blue dress and moon-shaped silver earrings.

Are you a good dancer?:  By myself yes, but I've never done it with a partner.

What food shall you bring?:  A devil's food cake with a chocolate drizzle.

I glance nervously around, wondering if anybody will mind that I'm here.  My mind can't stop racing with thoughts like what am I supposed to do?  How am I supposed to act?  What if I screw up?  I've never been to a human party before, only heard about them.  They're different from wolf parties, obviously, given the chocolate fountain and lack of joyful howling.  I can't stay long, I tell myself.  I have to get back to the pack eventually.  Why am I even here if I'm just going to stand by the wall until it's time to go?  Parties are supposed to be fun.  Try to have some fun, Lupa.

Suddenly my ears perk up.  The DJ is playing a song I know, one of my favorites!  I see other people dancing, so I slowly begin to move my feet along with the gliding melody of the violin.  Is it weird that I'm dancing like this? I wonder, but push the thought away.  I don't want to worry, I want to enjoy this.  Maybe I can even get up the courage to talk to someone here.

6:02. Great. "Ahh! I'm late!" I completely panicked. "Oh don't worry about it!" Blaze scoffed as she pushed her CBer- aka me- out the door. I snapped, and a ray of bluish light burst into existance. As the room dissolved around me, Midnight enlightened me to the fact that, "Your boots smell like horse poop!"

I rolled my eyes. Of course they do, you silly AE. I didn't have time to grab those dress shoes, so I'm wearing these.

After about 10 minutes- throughout which I thought, "I'mlateI'mlateI'mlate…"- the world reappeared- although it wasn't the world I was familiar with. A manor wrapped in jasmine, alone in a sea of heather and bracken, warm yellow light spilling from every window and soft music playing.

I walked down the neat path, pausing to watch the sun set in the distance and enjoy a warm breeze on my face. The gate was ajar, and inside was a beautiful front garden. The front door was also propped open and there was a large banner that read, "Welcome to Jubilee's 2020 CBer Ball!" 

"Hello? Helloooo?" I call. NoOneKnows's head pops through a doorway. "Hey, Lumi!"  "Hey NoOneKno-Kat! I said Kat, I said Kat!" NoOneKnows- ahem, Katlin- laughed. "Come on in!"

I enter a huge room, buffet tables lining the walls, a large dancefloor, and much more.  

"Oh my gosh, I am so late," I shriek, as I pull on my flats. Luckily, I don't have to resort to any muggle ways of transportation, such as cars and *shudders* walking. I concentrate on Jubilee's mansion, and Apparate onto the front lawn. I'm faced with a beautiful palacial building. It has vines creeping up the white marble collumns, a gorgeous garden, and two inviting French doors with crystalline windows. I hurry up the marble steps and into the ballroom.

As my shyness kicks in, I'm relieved to see some familiar faces. Among the crowd already in the ballroom are Hawthorne, Mistia, Lupa, and a lot of other CBers. I place my sacred offering of sushi and mochi on the food table and hurry to join them.

CRAP!!! I'm sooooo late! eh whatever. "Assitants bring the cake in!" I pace around looking for someone to talk to. Ummmm…. I'll just dance. I hear the song ride come on and I dance like no ones watching! (everyone's watching!) The song ends and I wipe the sweat off my face. "ANYONE WANT SOME CAKE?" I yell. Everyone dashes over to the cake. hmmm… I should've brought a 10 ft tall cake. I get some punch, and jug it down. Then I go over to talk to some people.

(i forgot to tell you guys, my names Kathrine! not Kalin, im so so so so so so sorry. anway, i don't really care)

I welcom Lumi in and walk back over to RR, D, HT, swaying to a midum fast song. Lumi starts talking and suddenly were all in a circle of gossip. "… i wonder if anyone is gonna ask one of us to dance…" says Dolphin. "yep. is totaly gonna aqward tho, since like, a friend could ask you XD." i reply. more people come streaming thru the doors as the DJ strikes up a new song, wich we all start swaying too.  i remember the lyrics and start shouting along "BOOM, CLAP, THE SOUND OF MAH HEART, AND THE BEAT GOES ON AND ON AND ON AND ON ON!" Dolphing, Raining Rainbows, and Hawthorne join in, and then were all laghing and bouncing around. 

Best. Night. EVER.

H E R O E S –

I throw open the bathroom door and grab Starlight's arm.
"IM BRUSHING MY TEEEEEEEEE-" she screams as I tug her down the hall.
"DontcareneedyourhelphowdoIbraidmyownhair?" I say, sitting her down in an overstuffed chair.
"I have no idea. Your room is nice…" Starlight trails off. I groan and open the door for her. 

Seriously, braiding? Do you have to be this hard? I look at my tangled hair and shrug. Ill just- 

Several attempts later I have my hair in two buns. I mean, some of in it is in buns. The rest is, uh, still down and tangled. 

Oh well.

I run downstairs and grab my large canvas bag. Cookies? check. Pencils? check. Okay, I think Im ready.
"Where are you going? The party starts at six." I whirl around to see Felix, paintbrush in hand, staring at me with a confused look.
Of course it does… I shrug and pretend it was all part of the plan.
"I, uh, have somewhere to go thats on the way. Make sure Pine doesnt tease Starlight too much and dont let Tomru have more then three cookies, okay? Oh- theres food in the fridge, Scrabble should go out twice, and be-careful-theres-a-leak-in-the-attic!" I warn, already out the door.
"You told me that all five times!" Felix calls. I wave and shut the door. Now to fly… 
I still havent mastered the art of flying, but Im getting there. It would be much easier with wings but w h a t e v e r…

I fly over the forest and do a couple laps over the Big Tree. Time flies (haha) and soon I start toward Julibee's mansion.  

I land in front of the building, stumbling and bit and nearly tripping over Quill. 
"Uh, hi!" I say awkwardly. Quill greets me with a cheery smile and we start talking about who we think will come.

Then Fidelity shows up, panting.
"You guys ready to go in?" she asks. I nod. Quill pushes open the doors and we walk in. theres a couple other CBers milling around, a large snack table (yay) and several doors leading to different rooms. I dump the tupperware of cookies onto the snack table and turn to Quill and Fidelity.
"Wanna dance?" Quill asks. I smile brightly.
"Sure!" 

Bean insisted on driving me over ten minutes early, which I suppose was good. I step out of the car and wave goodbye.

"Be safe!" she says, rolling the window down. "Call me when the ball's over so I can come pick you up. Have fun!"

"I will!" I promise, and she drives away. I smooth out my dress and decide to wait for Heroes and Fidelity outside. After a few minutes, I see a dark shape gliding- well, wobbling- through the sky. As it comes closer, I see that it's Heroes. She lands and stumbles, but catches herself.

"Uh, hi!" she says.

"Hi!" I say, smiling excitedly. "This is going to be so much fun!"

"Who do you think will be there?" she asks, and we discuss this for a few more minutes before Fidelity appears. She seems out of breath, like she's been running.

"Hey guys!" she says. "Are you ready to go in?" Heroes nods, and I open the doors.

We enter the ballroom and find that there are several other CBers already there. It's large, ornate, and beautiful. Heroes leads the way to the snack table, where she places her cookies.

I set down my plate of cream puffs, then ask, "Wanna dance?"

"Sure!" Heroes responds, and Fidelity nods agreement. We all walk out onto the dance floor as an upbeat song starts. I grab my two friends' hands and spin them around, laughing. I notice that more CBers have begun to arrive, and the dance floor is beginning to fill up.

"This is great!" I say, beaming. 

Don't be so nervous, I tell myself. Dancing is not that scary.

Okay, it is, actually, that scary. So instead I head over to the food, because food is always welcome. The table is piled high with cakes, brownies, cookies, pies…it's honestly just a dessert table at this point. After eating a few cookies to calm my nerves, I decide to go over and talk to everyone.
