~ooOOoooh, this is getting interesting 🙂 I can't wait to find out how the Enchantress fits in!~
I glance at June. "Do you mind if I look at your sketches?" I ask her, and she nods.
"Sure, go ahead!"
I walk to the wooden chest and open its lid with a creak. There's a puff of dust, but the sketchbooks are fine. I pick one at random and flip through, it, admiring the lines and colors. "You're a really good artist, June! I love this one of the foxes." Star, who's been looking over my shoulder, nods her agreement.
June grins. "Thanks!" Then she frowns. "Maybe we should go try and find August. He likes his nonfiction, but he doesn't usually stay away so long without letting me know."
I glance at Star, and we agree. June leads us to the nonfiction section. But August isn't there.

"Hmm. Where could he have gone?" June asks the question nervously. Then, she screams quietly. "What? What is it?!" You both ask. She points at a small, brownish-white bag with a shoulder strap on the floor. "That's August's book bag! He always puts the books he wants to check out in there because he always finds more books than he can carry. He would never put it down in the library, at least not in the nonfiction section." She turns to you guys and gives you a nervous look. "I know it sounds like an odd thing to worry about, but… Can we look for him somewhere else? I can't imagine where he would have wandered off. He never goes back up to his room without telling me." You both nod. She leads you all around the library, and it is beautiful. You finally stop in front of a painting with a woman and a man in it. The woman has dirty blonde hair and shiny brown eyes. The man has black hair and green eyes. The painting has a small label under it that says "Andrew Winters and his sister, Anika Winters." "I've never been this deep in the library before," says June. "I think that Andrew Winters was the First Librarian." "Wow," you say. "Yeah, it's really cool, but I really want to find August! Can we come back after we find him?" Asks June. "Ok," says the other CBer. You wander on and on, but you don't find him. Suddenly, you hear a voice.

I glance at Star and June, and we walk towards the voice. I can't make out what it said. It's River. She's staring at the painting of the Winters we saw earlier as if she's seen a ghost.
"Andrew and Anika…" She starts when she sees us. "Oh! Hi, June. I've seen you before. But I don't know your name. And who are you?"
I introduce myself and Star Princess, and River nods enthusiastically. "Cool! I'm River. I was trying to figure out where I've heard these two's names before." She gestured to the painting.

"Wow…" I whisper "the first Librarian…"
I trace my finger over the painting. I feel a slight chill.
"Is it just me? Or did you guys suddenly feel a draft?" asks River.
"Yeah, thats odd. Usually the Library is nice and warm." says June.
I hold out my hand and a white cloak flies into the room, fastening itself to my neck. "Hmm" says June. "I feel like there's something behind that painting…."
"Yes" says River. "I was drawn to it because I could sense a mysterious power emanating from behind it"
"I don't know what it is, but its powerful."

Something seems odd about this painting, and you suddenly notice a keyhole on the brass frame of the painting. You point it out to the others. "Strange," says June. "Something feels…wrong. Different then before. Like…" June pauses, like she doesn't quite know how to explain this feeling. "Like some sort of secret is being revealed, and I'm not sure how to feel about it." River nods in agreement. "I feel it too. Especially since-" River lowers her voice slightly- "I think I know where the key is."

"You know where it is?" I ask River, needing to hear it again.She nods. "Yeah, follow me!" River leads us towards the entrance to the Library, but stops before we get to the door. Then she climbs straight up the shelves of a mostly-empty bookshelf, and peers back over the edge. "Come on up!"I glance at Star Princess, then clamber up to River. On top of the shelves is a broad pathway, and at the end of this row is a ladder. I didn't notice it before, but it looks like it leads to a loft-y kind of area. We climb up, Star included, and I look around curiously at the new place. There are bean bags scattered around, and lots of cats! I am instantly distracted by a calico kitten fighting some yarn. I go over to her and twitch the string around while River strolls towards the back of the room.~~~Other CBers are welcome!!

"It's a bit of a process," says River, "Moonkitten please get back here.". Moonkitten reluctantly turns away from a calico. River goes over to a large painting of a basket of yarn. She holds her arm out and pulls on a hidden chain. The painting melts away, revealing three gems imbedded in the wall, one blue, one green, and one purple. The purple one is glowing. Above the gems is plaque, stating "Bring forth water, earth, and sky, the key will be yours.". Rivers eyes widen at the sight of the glowing purple gem. "Why is the sky crystal glowing?!" she says incredulously, "It's never done that before!"
"About that," I say, scratching my neck, "I'm a starlette."

"That's so cool!" Says River, jumping up and down and squealing loudly."Yeah, and convenient. We only have two more gems to go…" June's voice drifts off."How do we plan to activate the other two? I mean, I'm named after water, I never thought I'd have to actually use it for something!" River exclaims."Well… I may know a guy. Or, in this case, a girl. For the earth gem," June says nervously, like she doesn't want to bring the subject up."Who?!?!" River asks excitedly, as if this whole thing is a mystery book she's been reading, and June knows who committed the crime.June's eyes narrow. "Her name," she says, her voice more confident and sharp this time, "Is Dovetree."~~~Thanks guys for reviving this. I'm a little obssed with it, haha. I've been working on my paragraphing, what do you think? Also, you can call Dovetree "Dove" for short if you want. -

My eyes dart from Star to River. "Hold on, I'm confused. What's a starlette? And, June, where do we find Dovetree?"

"Starlettes are celestial beings, we come from the stars. Most starlettes are serious and secretive but I'm….a bit of a rebel. Any way River who's Dovetree, and how fast can we find her."
River sighs, slumping her shoulders, "She's a naiad, a water nymph. And I don't know how to find her."
