WiLdSoNg ParticipantIf anyone wants to join I think a good place to put your charrie whould be in the cafeteria. I know Avi (my charrie) is there and I believe Zinnie? And Via? (Sorry if I spelled it wrong. I also don't remember who those belong to ) may be in the cafeteria as well.

PeriwinkleParticipantPi
Venturing KyngdomYes, if you're an experiment. But we're not accepting any more experiments right now (sorry guys)
If you're a student, right now they have archery class. Feel free to move the story from archery to something else, though!

Moon WolfParticipantlunars
A Celestial KyngdomJust wondering, what other classes are there at the BIG academy?
-
PeriwinkleParticipantPi
Somewhere in the starsI think they'd have all the core classes (so there'd probably be some sort of Language Arts class, there's a History class although much of it is propaganda, there's science and math) but I think that it'd be more centered around STEM in that part because kids who aren't as good at the physical fighting stuff can still go on to be scientists. You can decide the specifics but maybe stuff like chemistry, biology, engineering and lab stuff
And of course there's fighting classes too. We already know there's archery; there is also knife throwing, hand-to-hand combat, and maybe some lessons in use of swords and similar weapons. What kinds of classes do you think we should have?

HawkstarParticipantDon't need
permission to dance-EVERI'm a lil' confused… are we in archery or the cafeteria?
-
WiLdSoNg ParticipantSorry! To clarify, students can go to archery and experiments can be in the cafeteria! And I believe we have 7 experiments right now and can't have any more.
-
PeriwinkleParticipantPi
Somewhere in the starsWiLdSoNg is correct; since your character is a student, you are at archery. This roleplay is currently taking place at two different places (all experiment characters are at BIG labs, whereas students are at the school). Since you are a student, you only need to be concerned about the school. So you're in archery class!

A Celestial Kyngdom{Aly}
Archery was Aly's favorite class of the day. It was usually the highlight, what brought up the rest of her boring days at BCA (BIG Cadet Academy). She hit each target perfectly, though she often challenged herself by stepping farther back or off to the side.
It was always a shame when archery class ended. Everyone put up their bows and put away their arrows or dealt with them accordingly. The next class was science, specifically chemistry. Alyria sighed as she stepped into the classroom, which was pristine and clean with the set of lab stations with various beakers and tubes set on top.
The teacher (or instructor), Mrs. Veldez, clapped her hands and said, "Today, I would like you to partner up in pairs as usual and find a lab. Then, I'd like you to examine the object or liquid placed on your specific lab and write down your observations. Once you're done, you can start experimenting with their properties. Alright? Alright."
Aly glanced around, hoping to find a partner to work with. She didn't really know a lot of people in chemistry.
—
So I hope it's okay if I moved on to chemistry! Also anyone want to parter with Aly (and maybe Leskie?)
-
@Moon WolfParticipantIt's HawkstarLauren can pair up with either! I'll leave the choice up to you
^Lauren^
I finish up putting away my bow and collect my arrows before strolling to chemistry. Which I pretty much hated, but somehow put up with… T'was a mystery how.
In the classroom, the teacher, Mrs. Veldez (always reminds me of Leo Valdez! It's so hard not to blurt that out whenever she says something) said, "Today, I would like you to partner up in pairs as usual and find a lab. Then, I'd like you to examine the object or liquid placed on your specific lab and write down your observations. Once you're done, you can start experimenting with their properties. Alright? Alright."
I wrinkle my nose at that. I didn't know anyone in chemistry, really, and I wasn't the best with approaching people. Maybe someone would wander over to me…? But then again, I could pair up with myself. SO much easier.

Moon WolfParticipantlunars
A Celestial KyngdomTy! I'll choose Alyria then 🙂
{Aly}
Aly sighed a little as people began to pair up, filling up the labs quite quickly. Really, Mrs. Veldez should give a choice between working alone and with a partner. Aly wandered around the room a little, looking. Finally, Aly decided to go up to a random student and said, "Hey…would you like to pair up with me? My name's Alyria, by the way, but you can call me Aly."

I was juuuust about to go through with Plan A, which had three steps (1, ask self if I wanted to pair up with me, 2, agree, and 3, see if I could somehow get away with it) but I was saved the trouble when a girl walked up to me.
"Hey…would you like to pair up with me? My name's Alyria, by the way, but you can call me Aly," she said.
"Yeah, that'd be great! I was just about to pair up with either I, me, or myself. But I'd prefer to pair up with someone else! I'm Lauren. I love your name!" I said, realived.
"Nice to meet you," Aly smiled, and I smiled back.
"Just choose a table, then? I usually sit in the back," I say.
"Sounds fine to me," Alyria shrugs, and we both find a lab station/counter thing near the door, gleaming with beakers and liquids.

To her relief, the student replied, "Yeah, that'd be great! I was just about to pair up with either I, me, or myself. But I'd prefer to pair up with someone else! I'm Lauren. I love your name!"
"Nice to meet you," Aly said, smiling. Lauren smiled back.
"Just choose a table, then? I usually sit in the back," Lauren said.
"Sounds fine to me," Aly replied, shrugging. The two of them went over to a lab station near the door. Aly sat down on one side, while Lauren sat down on the other.
Aly examined the beaker in front of them. It was filled 3/4 of the way with an iridescent purple-blue liquid. "So…we just write down our observations then, I guess?"
"I think so," Lauren responded.
There were two pencils and a piece of paper on the table. The paper was labeled with the words Your Observations in red ink.
"We can take turns writing our observations," Alyria suggested. "You can go first if you'd like." She passed the paper and a pencil over to Lauren.

I put my arrows into my quiver and stack my bow next to the others with a loud clang. I didn't choose to be here–nor do I want to–and I make sure to show it.
"Chemistry is next," I hear another student say to their friend as they leave, so I follow them, assuming that's where I need to go as well. Not that it matters; the last thing my parents told me before I left was "Oh, sweetheart, don't even try to flunk out–we have a deal with the current headmaster(/mistress, I don't remember), so no matter what happens, you won't be able to leave. And when the semester is over, you can stay with your grandparents." They didn't exactly say that, but basically the same thing. Grandparents (who are equally as evil as his parents), expel, not able to come home, blah blah blah.
Whatever, I think, shuffling my feet through the Chemistry classroom doors with my head down. I make a beeline for an empty spot, a few tables away from a pair of kids…and I trip over my own two feet, doing a face plant into the ground. Well, crap, I think (along with another few censored words), a wave of heat washing over me as I awkwardly stand up and brush myself off. I sit down into my chair and throw my backpack on the ground. I wish I could say doing stupid or embarrassing stuff didn't make me flustered, but they do.
Suddenly, our Chem teacher speaks up and tells us to pick a lab partner. Oh, how wonderful, just what I needed, I think sarcastically, glancing around the room until someone catches my eye. It's a girl with an intelligent, yet slightly wolffish aura. I remember one of our classmates saying her name–Leksie, I think.
I walk over to where she's sitting by herself and say "Name's Asher. Monroe works too. Uh, want to be partners." I finish my question (albeit a very lame question without a question mark at the end) with a kind of voice crack.
~~~
@Moon Wolf – would you mind if Leksie and Asher were partners? 🙂
I flick my tail and keep my head high as I walk into the cafeteria, my small paws padding silently across the floor. My ice-blue eyes scan the crowd of experiments until I find my group–a few experiments with escape on their minds. Not really, actually. I don't really know anyone, and nobody talks about escape. At least it's on my mind.
I pad into line and graciously accept the raw fish they've given me–testing whether myself or the others get sick on it. Well, joke's on them, I think. I'm a calico with a stomach of STEEL. I chuckle to myself and walk over to an empty corner (rather, what I thought was empty at the time) and sit down, not noticing a rather smallish human-esque boy. He clears his throat from behind me.
"Holy mother of fishsticks-" I start to exclaim, but the boy claps his clawed hand over my mouth–more like my face, actually, due to the size of his hand compared to me.
My pupils dialate dangerously and I unsheath my claws, gently prying his hand away from my face.
"Has anyone ever told you that it's rude to shove your hands in anycat's faces?" I whisper with a small hiss, flicking my puffed up tail.
@WiLdSoNg – do you mind if Avi and Aenys meet? 😀
&Leskie&
It's chemistry class next. The teacher tells us to get in pairs. I don't really know anyone, and so just sit at a random lab, considering asking if I can work alone.
Just then, someone walks over to me and says, "Name's Asher. Monroe works too. Uh, want to be partners." Their voice is slightly flat.
"Um, sure," I reply. "I'm Leskie." There is some awkward silence, and after a while, I say, "So…we write down our observations on what's in front of us, I guess?" I signal to the paper and two pencils placed on the lab.
Aly suggests that I write down observations first, so I scribble half heartedly about what I see, filling maybe half a page.
"What's your favorite class?" I ask as I write.
Aly tells me, and asks mine. "I love the class where you can just read," I chuckle. "But I enjoy archery, and whenever they tells us to climb or run, or when the rare staff gets pulled out."
I slid her a pencil, and set mine down. "Your turn."
Somewhere in the stars*Zinnia*
Zinnie and Via sat together as other experiments started to gather at their table. When enough people were there for them to feel it appropriate to start talking, Zinnia said, "Okay, who's ready to get out of this place?"
They looked around at the other experiments. "I have a plan to get us out of here. But if anyone says anything to the authorities, we're all dead. So are we a team or not? 'Cause if we're not, you're gonna want to back out now. And I should be clear," they added, putting an arm around Via, "if you threaten my or her ability to escape, I… Well, I'll do what's necessary."
~
I might make another student character later.
Also I should say that the school is 11-17 (I think, or maybe 18? Beginning of middle school to end of high school is my point) which is what we came up with, I believe, and I figure charries would've been going here since that age (with the exception of Cress, who was raised here). If everyone's okay with that.
Lauren wrote down her observations, and as she did, she asked, "What's your favorite class?"
"My favorite class is archery, for sure. How about you?" I asked.
"I love the class where you can just read," Lauren chuckled. "But I enjoy archery, and whenever they tells us to climb or run, or when the rare staff gets pulled out." She slid me a pencil, and set hers down. "Your turn."
I wrote down my observations (the color, viscosity, luster, etc.) While I wrote, I said, "Who's your favorite teacher?"
Lauren told me her favorite teacher and why, then asked me. I said, "My favorite teacher is probably Mrs. Ballaret, the archery teacher, but I guess I'm biased because I like archery so much." I smiled, then quickly scanned through our observations. "I think we've done enough observations. Want to start experimenting now?"
