Pronouns: she/her

Personality: funny, witty, creative, quirky.

Appearance: long, braided black hair with a green streak in it. bright green eyes, always wears black and gray clothes. I'm always wearing a gold chain necklace and gold bracelets.

Spring, summer, fall, or winter?: each of them have good things about them, but I'll say late summer or early fall 🙂

Cool colors or warm colors?: cool colors all the way. *laughs in green/dark turquoise* (I do like gold highlights, though)

If you could have any ONE superpower, what would it be?: that's a tough choice… maybe shapeshifting, particularly into a wolf or dragon.

Weapon of choice?: sword, because of how iconic it is and how easy and cool it is to carry around- just strap it to your belt, and boom, dangerous decoration.

Originally there were going to be two teams, but I switched to three teams because I think it'd be more interesting (plus, the three sisters wanted to be on different teams, which I'm happy to do). Team Rose will have on more person, but it won't give them an advantage.

Part I:

Nyx woke up suddenly, startling upwards. The last thing she remembered was hanging out with her sisters and scrolling through the Chatterbox. She sat up, looking around. She was in a room that resembled the inside of a large, white cube. The floor was cool to the touch and smooth. On either side of her was a person, who also seemed like they had just woken up.

“Ugh,” a girl wearing glasses said. “Where are we?”

“I have no idea,” Nyx replied, standing up and brushing herself off. “I’m Nyx.”

“I’m Lyric,” glasses-girl said.

“I’m CelineBurning Bright,” said the third person, a thin Asian person with a bright smile. “You can call me Celine. It’s nice to meet you guys!”

Nyx smiled back and said, “It’s nice to meet you too! Despite the… weird circumstances.”

“Oh, you guys are awake!” a voice echoed from behind the trio. They spun around to find a teenage girl with pale skin, long, white hair, and blue eyes standing with one hand on her hip.

“Who are you?” Lyric asked, who was positive that it had only been the three of them in the room a few seconds ago when they woke up.

“I’m Opal,” the girl said. “Silver Crystal’s AE. I’ll be your team’s sponsor for the competition. I’m here to explain the rules before it starts.”

Nyx suddenly remembered filling out the form the night before. She wondered where her sisters had ended up.

“First thing’s first,” Opal said, tone brisk. “You three make up Team Daisy. There are two other teams who are getting briefed as well right now, Rose and Jasmine. The goal is to make it out of the Maze before the other two teams. As soon as you step out of this box, you’ll have access to the superpower and weapon that you listed on your form.”

“Oooh, cool,” Celine said, already bouncing with excitement about getting to be able to teleport for real.

“Now, it won’t be easy to get out,” Opal continued. “The Maze will make it difficult. But if you ever find yourself in a sticky situation, you can call on me for a favor, and I’ll help you out. But you only get three favors, so use them wisely. Got it?”

“Got it,” the three teammates chorused.

“Alright, then,” Opal said. She waved her arm and a doorway appeared, etched into the wall. “Good luck!”

{Meanwhile, in a different blank, colorless room}

“Got it, Team Rose?” Topaz, another one of Silver’s AEs said, having just finished explaining the rules. “Are you ready to start?”

“Yes!” Flamestarii, Winter, and Hawkstar said.

“Quick question,” Darvine said, raising her hand.

“Yeah?”

“Is there any real danger?” she asked.

“Not if you do it right!” Topaz said, tone very bright for such an ominous statement. “Time to start!” She waved her hand and a doorway appeared.

{In Team Jasmine’s room}

“So is the Maze, like, magic or something?” Moon Wolf asked.

“I mean, it has to be, right?” Ava said. “Since we’re getting superpowers.” She turned to Onyx, their sponsor and the third AE. “Right?”

“I mean.” Onyx, fiddling with the drawstring on faer hoodie, shrugged. “I guess? It just kind of exists. I don’t know if it qualifies as magic, though.”

“Come onnnn,” Periwinkle said. “Let’s get started! I want to win!”

“Okay, okay,” Onyx said, summoning a doorway. “Have fun!”
