AnastasiaParticipantso far today i had a breakfast sandwich on baguette and orange peach juice, then my friend gave me a cheese bagel and i also had lemonade lol. for lunch i had tomato-mozzerella-chickpea salad and banana bread.
im really craving a burger right now…maybe i'll try to persuade my dad to make some with me for dinner.
also @poinsettia, my family also eats a concerning amount of eggs. i once had an egg sandwich for breakfast, an egg burrito for lunch, and shakshuka for dinner, which is basically eggs poached in a sort of tomato sauce. lol.

writing adsBreakfast: Sunny side up egg, bread w/ strawberry jam, Greek yogurt, and raspberries
Snack: Jerky and popcorn (someday I plan to be pescatarian/vegetarian tho…but right now in my life that's unrealistic)
Lunch: Rice and a spicy Szechuan pork that doesn't taste spicy for some reason
Second snack: The rest of my previous snack and an orange (I eat oranges every day. I turned orange once, from eating too many lol)
And I just realized that there were no vegetables for breakfast today, and no vegetables to pack for lunch…bother.

AnastasiaParticipantfor breakfast: honey lavender biscuit with lemon curd, a fried egg, and a brown sugar iced coffee
for lunch: spinach and cheese quesadilla, leftover basque cheesecake with berry coulis
for a snack: applesauce with blackberries and granola
for dinner: ermmm idk
also guys..i might be going vegetarian. i've been researching more on how meat is produced and how ethical it is….honestly it makes me nauseous.

~Cinderella~@Anastasia – lavender is so good!!! it's one of my favorite flavors to bake with. did you make the biscuit (and the other stuff)? I also use a lot of honey in baking because too much sugar makes my health worse (mainly it just makes everything hurt worse) and if you reduce the amount of sugar and add even like a teaspoon or two of honey that by itself can make it spread, more moist, etc etc. I actually managed to make a good cookie recipe with comparitively low sugar by using partially honey (among a few other things.)
also even if you don't go fully vegetarian/vegan, it's definitely a good idea to eat less meat. Especially beef because beef has really high greenhouse emissions, but all animal products do. and then when you do eat meat, it's possible to find meat that is produced in much more ethical ways. it won't change the greenhouse emissions (not much at least), though.
also how do you manage to eat like this every day?! idk maybe this is because i eat like 3 things on rotation with a few other things sprinkled in but that's just cool.
-
Anastasia@BBParticipantI did not actually make the biscuit although i have plans to recreate it sometime. my mom and her friend were taking a walk and got breakfast somewhere and she brought that back to me. and yesss i love honey! i like using that a lot in baked goods, i think maple syrup also works in some cases.
yeah, that's definitely part of why i want to be vegetarian, a couple years ago i was actually on a climate change summit as a panel member and it was really eye-opening. i also recently researched more about animal cruelty in abattoirs lol…don't ask.
honestly…if im being real with you, i pretty much eat the same things on repeat also. its just that i occasionally have leftovers lol. tbh my breakfast is either toast/waffle and eggs, oatmeal, or applesauce and granola. lunch is typically a sandwich, wrap, or instant ramen when i feel fancy. i just loooveee to spice up those things when i can, so things like adding green goddess dressing makes me feel a little less like i ate a sandwich every day for a week (which sometimes happens) my whole family loves food though, so that helps too haha

JellyfishBreakfast: Sunnyside up egg, English muffin with strawberry jam, and Greek yogurt with sliced strawberries
Snack: String cheese (it tasted awful; I'm so sick of them maybe because I bite it instead if stringing it and that's not how it should be eaten), and a homemade trail mix of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and raisins (Technically I'm allowed to bring nuts to school, but I don't want anyone getting hurt bc of them, so I don't)
Lunch: Twisty pasta with meat and tomato sauce
Other snack: the rest of the trailmix, plus an orange
Plus a surprise naturally blue colored tea with also unexpected grass jelly and boba, that was probably the best I've ever had.
-
