SeadragonGuestName: Seadragon
Pronouns: she/her/hers
Appearance: tan skin, long dirty-honey-blond hair (this is what someone called my hair recently and I think it’s more accurate than “auburn”), green eyes. I usually wear a shirt that’s either solid or patterned with a floral, straight-cut pants, and flowered high-tops. My hair is usually up.
Personality: quiet, might seem a bit cold at first, kind, thoughtful, creative but I don’t usually seem that way because it’s scary sharing your ideas with people, isn’t it?
Favorite Food: Hmm. Peaches with chocolate sauce (I’ve never actually tried this, but I love both of them).
Do you prefer the icing or the cake part of a cake? It depends how good they are. Probably the cake, if it’s soft and moist enough.

Day 0, Part 1GuestSarah Saffron
Seaglass InnDay 0, Part 1
It was a beautiful, sunny day, with the clouds in the bright blue sky blowing past like cotton candy. The birds were chirping, and a cool breeze was blowing. For most, it was an ordinary day, but for 9 lucky CBers, a great adventure was just beginning.
Coyote was a little bit perplexed over the invitation. She had no idea how she was going to arrive at the Seaglass Inn. As she was waiting outside, a big, navy blue wagon pulled up in front of her house. She stared at it in shock; there were already quite a few people inside, but she didn’t see a driver anywhere. Could it be…magic? Quickly shaking off the possibility, she hopped inside, and took a seat, which was surprisingly comfortable.
Lan was getting a little bit impatient. The wagon was traveling far too slowly for their taste. Just when he was about to ask the driver, (If there was one.) what was taking so long, she gasped in surprise. She had thought they were still in their hometown, but he and the other CBers were suddenly next to a very large lake, that stretched out to the horizon.
Virtue took out their sketchbook, and Moon Wolf took out her notepad. The beauty of the lake had inspired them.
Thalorwin was the first one to spot the Inn. It was a big rusty lodge, with a tall, spiky roof, and made completely out of dark logs. There were a bunch of jagged boulders nearby, and Seadragon thought she saw a shipwreck peeking out from beneath the waves. Everything was incredibly atmospheric, and the CBers were mesmerized.
When they got out, Chicago and Pea Vine tried to thank the driver, but there was no one in sight. Feeling a little bit spooked, they ran to catch up with everyone else, who were about to enter the Inn.
Issac was about to knock, when suddenly, the door was flung open by a woman wearing a long, raggedy, dark green and navy blue gown. Her light brown hair was held up in a large bun on the top of her head, with a seashell hairpin stuck into it. Issac knew in a moment that this had to be Sarah Saffron.
“Hello everyone!” Sarah said, greeting all of the CBers. “Thank you all so much for coming, I think you are going to have a wonderful vacation!” “Thank you for having us.” Moon Wolf said, smiling at her host.
“You are very welcome.” Sarah said. “Please, come in, I need to give you the grand tour!”
Sarah Saffron then proceeded to show the CBers around what would be their home for the next week. They started in the entrance hall, which was the room in which they had entered the Inn. It was very tall, with a rickety but still elegant spiral staircase leading up to the second floor, which Virtue thought had a nice balcony. A large chandelier glittered above, and there were what Pea Vine hoped weren’t real shark teeth on the walls.
Next there was the kitchen and dining room, which were decorated in a pretty similar way. “Woah!” Chicago gasped as she stared at the counter top. “Are those jewels etched into the counter?”
Sarah laughed. “I wish. There’s a store nearby that sells fake jewels. Apparently, there used to be pirates around here, but I’ve never seen a ship.”
Seadragon remembered the ship she saw on the way over. Could it have just been a trick of the light, or was Sarah not being completely honest with them?
After everyone had unpacked their things in their rooms, Sarah called them down for dinner. It was absolutely scrumptious; everybody’s favorite food was there. Lan was overjoyed. How did Sarah know he loved pasta?
Just as Thalorwin finished eating her third cup of fries, Sarah brought out vegan popcorn, coated in olive oil and nutritional yeast. Everyone loved it, and ate till they couldn’t anymore.
As the sun began to set, the CBers headed upstairs to fall asleep, exited for what tomorrow would bring. They all slept soundly, except for one…Indeed, there was one CBer that night who had a very restless time sleeping, so that when they awoke on the wrong side of the bed early that morning, something deep inside them had changed…

ThalorwinGuestI love it so far! It’s so me to eat 3 things of fries, then a lot of popcorn.

Day 1, Part 1GuestSarah Saffron
Seaglass Inn@Thalorwin, thank you! 😊 Do you have any guesses for who I am? I’ll give you a hint; I submitted a form for this Ski Lodge!
Day 1, Part 1
It was raining over the Seaglass Inn that morning, and water was leaking through the roof. A drop of water fell onto Pea Vine’s forehead, waking her up. She tried to go back to sleep, as the sun hadn’t risen yet, but try as she might she couldn’t.
Getting out of bed, she stretched, and decided to find a bucket to stop the leak, as she didn’t want to wake Sarah up. She arrived at the bottom of the staircase, and was about to walk into the kitchen, when she heard something unlatching above her…
~~~
Seadragon woke up to Moon Wolf screaming. She immediately ran out of her room, with other CBers following suit. They found Moon Wolf on the balcony, looking down in terror. Pea Vine was collapsed on the floor of the entrance hall, with the displaced chandelier on top of her. Sarah Saffron quickly checked her pulse, and looked up at the CBers sadly. She was gone.
Chicago clapped a hand over her mouth. “I-I can’t believe this.” She stammered.
“How did this happen?” Lan asked.
“I’m not sure.” Sarah replied. “That chandelier was secured into the wall very tightly. There’s no way it could have fallen by itself, unless…” She looked up at the CBers. “It didn’t.”
The CBers all gasped. Was Sarah suggesting one of them was responsible for Pea Vine’s death? And if there was a murderer among them, then who would be next?
LonanGuestHi, sorry i meant to join before hand, but i got distracted, may i still join?
Seaglass InnI’m sorry, Lonan, but I planned out the story so it’ll work best with 9 people. I’m sorry, I didn’t know you wanted to join. 🙁
Day 1, Part 2GuestSarah Saffron
Seaglass InnDay 1, Part 2
Pea Vine’s funeral was held outside on the front lawn. The CBers had picked flowers right before the funeral, and placed them over her hastily made grave sadly. Issac couldn’t believe this had actually happened, and so did a lot of other CBers. Moon Wolf was still haunted by the memory of discovering Pea Vine collapsed under the chandelier. It had been so frightening. Sarah Saffron gave a speech about Pea Vine, but she barely knew her, so the speech was bland.
Sarah insisted they should go fishing at the lake to take their mind off things. “I guess that’d be nice.” Coyote said. Anything was better than lingering near Pea Vine’s newly marked grave. The CBers briskly walked to the sandy shore behind the Seaglass Inn. There was a rickety old dock, and moss covered rocks all over the place. Thalorwin wished it wasn’t raining. She could tell the beach would look amazing in the sunshine.
About an hour had passed, and nobody had caught anything. “Ugh, this is taking forever! Can’t we go eat lunch now?” Virtue groaned. They kept feeling a tug on their line, but the fish always got away before Virtue even had the time to react, so they were getting a little bit impatient.
“Don’t worry, Virtue!” Sarah said, taking a backpack off her back. “I packed it!” “Sweet!” Lan said, eagerly grabbing one of the sandwiches. “Thanks!”
~~
By the time lunch was over, it had stopped raining. Seadragon noticed a fire pit just as they were packing up. “Hey, can we roast s’mores?” She asked Sarah. “Of course.” She replied.
And so, the CBers ate s’mores around the campfire. They tasted great; a nice comfort food after the stressful day they’d been having.
Isaac decided this would be a nice time to check out the book he had found in his room earlier that day. He had put it in his backpack, so he could read it on the go. “Ooo, what’s that?” Chicago asked him. “I found it in my room.” Issac responded. “It’s called Pirate Myths and Legends.” “Neat.” Chicago said. “I think there’s a bookmark in it.” Moon Wolf noticed. “Hey, you’re right! Wow, I didn’t even notice that!” Issac exclaimed, as he flipped to the page.
He began to read aloud: “There was once an infamous pirate queen named Isobel the Terrifying. She stole many treasures, and would kill if it meant she could obtain a precious jewel. Unfortunately, she died unexpectedly at the age of 37, when her ship crashed into a boulder.
She had been trying to find one of the largest Buried Treasure Chests of all time; the Legendary Uglybeards’s Secret Stash! No one knows what became of her, or her ship!”“Whoa, what a story!” Coyote said. “I wonder if the treasure was real?” Thalorwin wondered.
“Yeah, me too…” Said Virtue.Seadragon noticed an illustration in the book of a shipwreck on the same page as the legend. “Hey, I saw a shipwreck like that on the way here!” She explained.
“You did?” Issac said, his eyebrows raised. “Yeah, I only saw it for a moment. It was really weird.” Said Seadragon.
“That is really weird…” Moon Wolf remarked.
“Sarah said she thought those were just stories, remember?” Chicago reminded everyone. “We’ve got nothing to worry about.”
“Yeah, apart from the fact that there’s a murderer here, I guess we’re fine.” Lan said, sarcastically. “Right, except for that.” Chicago gulped.
“Guys, I know what I saw. That was a shipwreck out there on the water. I think Isobel the Terrifying’s ship is around here.” Seadragon insisted. “Sarah probably just didn’t want us to worry.”
“Why would she be worried? There wasn’t any reason for her to be when we first got here.” Moon Wolf wondered.
When they first got here. So much had changed since then. How could it have only been a day ago?
“I’m not sure.” Lan said, scratching her head. “Maybe she didn’t know.”
“Yeah, I guess so.” Moon Wolf shrugged.
“You all done over there? Sarah called. “I think it’s time we headed back.” “Coming!” Shouted Thalorwin, as she and the other CBers entered the Inn once more.
~~
Late that night, the murderer entered Pea Vine’s room. Sarah had not yet ridden it of her things. The murderer pulled out the pair of nunchucks from her backpack, and hid them on their person. These could most certainly come in handy…
