hi admins! i was just wondering why we’re not allowed to discuss podcasts, since discussion of books, movies, and tv shows is allowed? i don’t really see the difference between those forms of media and podcasts. ofc, i respect your decision – i was just wondering what the reason was. thank you for keeping the cb safe :))

Podcasts can only be found by going to other sites on the internet over which we have no control. Just because one episode is CB appropriate does not assure us that future episodes will be. Books and movies are completed creations we can review; and they and TV shows can be found without searching the internet.

…ok then, btw did you not post my post earlier?? I’m confused lol. I guess that makes sense, but there are age ratings for podcasts so what about if we only talk about ones that are within the age rating of chatterbox? Also, have the rules been changed? Because I remember on a chat thread with Anastasia and moon wolf we talked about podcasts, and now we can’t???

Are TV shows fine if they’ve already been cancelled?

It depends upon what the show is. The ones you mentioned as examples are not suitable for Chatterbox.

Our rule now is no mention of specific podcasts for the reasons I explained above.

Podcasts can be found without searching the internet as well, using podcast apps 🙂 and Wildwolf is right, there are age ratings.

Hi, I see you didn’t respond to my post earlier. I wanted to let you know:
1. Podcasts can be found without the internet by podcasts apps, and most movies and books are found in a similar way where it’s possible to see something you don’t want to (i.e. searching a streaming service or browsing a library) so that solves that
2. Wildwolf is correct, many podcasts have age ratings online.
