Hiiiiiii!!! What are you doing for Christmas? What are you reading right now?

Hi! Christmas was really fun. I was at home for Christmas day, but the day after, we went to meet some family in another state. my grandparents, aunt, and uncle. we’re still there now, and it’s a lot warmer here :] what about you?

I got a few books for Christmas. one i’m excited to start is sort of like the inheritance games, if you’ve ever read that series. what are you reading?

Nice! It must of been fun being at home for Christmas. We drove up to my Dad’s parent’s house for Christmas and left on the 26. I got to see my cousin which was nice. (And yep, I only have one cousin)

I got a typewriter for Christmas, and man! I was soooo excited. I had been wanting one for a while now. I also got a book series called Peter and the Starcatcher, it’s sort of a spin off of Peter Pan. I also got a trip for Christmas. Like, we learned on Christmas that we were gonna go on a Disney Cruise on the Treasure in February. It’ll be our second DCL cruise. The Disney Treasure is soooo pretty. It’s mostly Asia/Africa/Alladin/Jungle themed. So excited for that! 

I’m currently reading Daughter of the Deep by Rick Riordan. It’s really good so far! I haven’t read the Inheritance Game… what is it about?

I’ve been meaning to read daughter of the deep, do you like it so far? 
The inheritance games is about an old billionaire who dies and leaves his fortune to a girl who’s never met him and seemingly has no connection to him. The girl and his grandsons try to figure out why she was chosen. I never really got into it personally, but maybe I’ll give it another try. The book I’m reading is similar but with magic

My cousin is about 6 months apart from me! So great. I’m almost a teenager, (well, 2026 October). She, yeah. Is close to 6 months younger than me! It’s great having a cousin your age!

Yeah, the typewriter is really fun! I’ve already typed about 5 full pages on it! Maybe more. That sounds like only a little… hmmmmmmm

I’m really excited for the cruise! On the day we get on the ship, I’m missing a level of basically “very intense memorizing competitions” so the other kids on my team will need to each memorize some of my things I was memorizing. I’m gonna get them each a bunch of souvenirs as a thanks. I feel so sad about that! 🙁 thought I mean, at least it’ll work out.

I like Daughter of the Deep so far. I feel like it is super intense after the first chapter, though if you like KOTCL, it’ll be fine. 

Hearing about the Inheritance Games, I feel like I need to read it! It sounds so good! I’ll need to check it out from the library. At least, when I finish my current heaping pile of books by my bed! 😉

Memorizing competitions? I think I would like those. I have to memorize three songs for a band performance on memorial day.

I do like kotlc, but I feel like it should be over by now. it’s kind of dragging on. What did you think of Stellarlune? Did you read the first chapter of Elysian?

I was traveling back home all day New Year’s Eve. Then I watched a new year’s show until midnight. Right after the ball drop, I went to bed XD what about you?

I typed a couple papers just testing it out, then I did some papers about the different Disney Cruise ships!! XD

Three songs? You do the flute right? For my Christmas recital, I memorized one of my songs. It was a repetitive song, so it was easy to memorize

Yeah! The KOTLC should be over now. It is honestly toooooo long. And the books are to thick. Though, not impossible. There’s a 10th? Oh my am I behind. I haven’t read 8.5 head! Or, KOTLC unlocked, or whatever the first half book is. So, now that there’s another? Wow! I’m team Foster-Keefe alllll day! I mean, yeah. I haven’t read Stellerlune yet. And no I haven’t read the first chapter of the one after Stellerlune. Man I’m behind!

We went over to a friend’s house for New Years Wve because one of their neighbors does Aton of fire works. We stayed until maybe 1 am because as someone would call it, “a midwest goodbye” or a chatty person goodbye. Aka, the moms won’t stop talking. Then, they’ll say we’ll leave in 15 minutes, then 45 minutes later, you’re actually on the porch saying goodbye, then, you’re there for another 15 minutes. Uhh! it’s sort of nice though…

What is your status for Christmas decorations being put away? Like, are your Christmas decorations still around the house?
