ThalorwinGuestI enjoy writing poems, but they’re usually not very good. Here are 2. I’d love to hear what you guys think of them!
The Enchanted Forest
The forest calls me
To the center
The babbling brook,
The light mist curling through trees,
The moss under my feet,
The roots I almost trip on.I felt a gust of wind
The forest awakens
I see a light, in the distance,
A little fire
Little fairies dancing around it
Singing a little tuneThere’s a water nymph
Singing her song
So lyrical and sweet
Spirits coming out of their trees
They’re playing tag,
Running swiftlyThe heart of the forest
It’s calling me
Where will I go?
I see a pool of reflection
I see the truth,
The magic of the forest, is in meI can see the sunrise,
Poking through the trees
I love it here
I’m the heart of the forest
The forest is in me
The magic will always remember meThe River That Remembers
The most above the water,
The river is returning
It calls me by name
Come to me is says
Come back to the time
When you swam in my watersRemember the laughter,
The happiness
You can see the time
Through the river
You recall it
But why?The river awakened,
It is keeping me safe
It is my guardian
Calling my name
I need to go back
But I don’t know whyI’m holding on,
Almost letting go
I can’t hold on
I need to let go of the past
But I can’t
The moment’s to pricelessThe light now shifts
I can’t see the past any more
Tough I can remember it
But why?
Maybe because moments are priceless
Remember the timeRemember the river
Remember the time
Keep the moments close
Don’t let the current drown you out
Let the light shine through
Remember the riverHope you guys liked them!!

should be doing homeworkVampire’s Lament
For one who’s lived a thousand lives
And will outlive a thousand more
It is much easier to view love as transient
Than transcendent
So I pity you, dear mortal
For you see me as eternal
(Fate bemoans us further still
For that’s how I see you, as well) -

hope is a firefly pyrotechnic
with a light-up abdomen.so i wished
i shouldn’t tell you but i wished
that this country was more blue. it’s only
brick & the snow covering up the sky, all
red red red
and white;so i have been making polar bears in snowstorms
for months now.
i shouldn’t tell you but
their whitesapce decorates every document, lingering
like toothpaste,
explosions,
like my mom on phone calls, finality
tingling into embarrassment.this life,
it’s the aftertaste of a duplicate snowflake
caught on the tongue. i don’t know
how there can be over fifty words for snow
& yet my metaphors
all drip the same apple-juice clichès:
(i shouldn’t tell you but i am)
sticky & immature
& red red red. -
Climate beeGuestThey/them
This is a little bit inspired by William Carlos Williams and the Imagist movement .
The wind blows gently
in the dead ferns.
Tiny twigs
move side to side
side to side
side to side
the bare tree looks as though
it has grown
orange buds
only the long grass
is undisturbed
by the wind
blowing
in the dead ferns. -
AmethystGuestThe puns are very much intended…
pretty good
i.
it’s perfectly clear – they’re cheating at cards,
always pulling up trumps
they’re ignoring our shouts and icing us out
and it’s happening again, the way we swore it wouldn’t –
we’ve all believed in magic in past years,
and now i believe in gnomes and bonds and the dissolution of humanity
and all i see are xs where birds used to twitter; they are spotifying the world
and all they care about is cash and changing bordersii.
but it’s strange, how we’re still dancing.
i will hold your hand and i promise i’ve got you,
and there’s an everpresent liberation in looking them in the face and telling them they’re wrong.
we will declare our independence and come together in patterns no one else has formed before us,
we will hold each other close and shatter the boundaries as we all become princes,
and i will still bend over to pick you up when you fall –
i can still tell you that, in spite of everything, we’re
doing pretty good-

AmethystGuestI did realize that it was there, but I didn’t know whether it was on purpose. It’s splendid, though :DD
