Harry Potter

by J. K. Rowling (Joane Kathleen Rowling)

This books are great! At first I thought they sounded kind of weird, but when I bought one I thought it was really good. It is about a boy named Harry Potter who is adopted by his horible aunt and uncle and he can do really strange things. Then a mystical letter arives and soon after that he learns he is a wizard! Read all of the books of Harry Potter to find out about all his adventures at Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry while he battles with the altimate dark lord. My favorite one of these books is Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Askaban book 3.

Personally, I didn't like any of the books except the first one.  I especially hated deathly hallows.  I guess the books are fairly entertaining, but I definitly don't think that Rowling had any special talent as a writer.

i really love these books. Yeah, they are scary and they are sad, but they manage to perfectly captivate the reader and make them actually understand what's going on, not just the general situation, but inside the characters' heads, too. She makes it easy to relate to this teenage wizard, and i will read these books a million times, and never get tired of them.

I don't know what J.K. stands fo, Gabrielle, but if you're right about it, are you sure she spells it Joanne Katheren? I've known (or at least read about) several Catherines, Catharines, Cathryns, Katherines ... you get the point. I may be wrong, but you gotta know all sides of the story!

That's only a matter of opinion Caroline. What's the name of the silver alchemical stage? What are Luna's kids names? What does rubeus mean in Latin?

Oh I love learning the entire family trees and kids' names and stuff!

Luna married Rolf Scamander (grandson of Newt Scamander, who wrote Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and had twin boys, Lorcan and Lysander.

Nevillle married Hannah Abott who became the Landlady of the Leaky Cauldron, obviously Neville also was the Professor of Herbology.

Ginny/Harry, three kids: James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna

Ron/Hermione, two kids: Hugo and Rose

George/Angelina, two kids: Fred and Roxanne

Bill/Fleur, three kids: Victoire, Louis, Dominique

Percy/some random girl named Audrey, two kids: Molly, Lucy

Oh and let's not forget Draco/Astoria, one kid: Scorpius!

By the way, Voldemort and Harry are related.

For the record, J. K. Rowling doesn't actually have a middle name. It was suggested to her that she write using her first two initials and last name so that her books would sell better. (Someone thought that they would be more sucessful at first if the public thought it was written by a male author. Obviously, they were very wrong, because females are excellent writers, her books would become best sellers, and....never mind, moving on.) Seeing as she didn't have a middle intial, she borrowed the name of her favorite grandparent, her grandmother Kathleen.

To Caroline S.: I have many friends that can practically recite the series word for word, not to mention the people who create and recreate at places like MuggleNet, TheLeakyCaldron, the HPANA, or the Harry Potter Lexicon. Great to hear of another attentive reader!Smile

I love the Harry Potter series, altogether!!! I've read them all like 4 times through!!!!!  I think J. K. Rowling's a great author.  Has she written any other books? Other than Harry Potter?  I like her "Fantastical Beasts and Where to Find Them," too!
