Inkheart

by Cornelia Funke

When Meggie's dad reads aloud from Inkheart, the book sweeps Meggie's mom and their two cats into it and two evil rulers and a fire-eater out of it. I wont tell you any more because it would ruin the story!

Inkspell was confusing, but Inkdeath is totally worth it! I am reading it right now, and it is not at all confusing. It also kind of answers questions from Inkspell. The Inkheart movie looks really bad...*sigh*...but then again, no books that are made into movies are ever good. Somebody PLEASE read East! I can't find anyone who has, but I know that people who like Inkheart will love East. Check out the recommendation!

I agree with you all the way! Inkdeath rules! I could not wait for the library to get it so I bought it myself! *sigh* I wish I could forget it then read it all over again and have the same awsome expeirience!

The Movie is outrageous! Nothing happened like it was suposed to, and they cut out like a million things! Dustfinger never died, we never meet the black prince, and Meggie and Farid never kiss! They show three awesome books in five short seconds!

Yeah, my friend hated it...she got scared halfway through. I admit, I've gotten nightmares about these books before, but I still really enjoy them. My mom also doesn't like Inkheart and stuff. She's not into fantasy and even disagrees with Harry Potter.

I totally agree! This is an awesome book, and the sequals ( Inkspell, Inkdeath) are great followups to the story.

BellaTrix, I know how you feel about Inkheart feeling "dry."  I thought the same thing until  I reread it.  You should try reading the whole series.

I have never read these, but did you know that one of them is being made into a movie? I'm pretty sure it is Inkheart. I saw a picture of it in the Washington Post (I was just in Washington D.C.)

I know, and just LOOK what they did to FARID! He's wearing a TURBAN! Gaah! *falls over* What did he ever do to deserve that ridiculous costume?! And Elinor wears a turban too! I guess the director really likes turbans... even Resa had this funny cloth thing on her head...

I am GOING to see that movie... weird about the hats. Inkspell may be my favorite of them... I read Inkdeath. Dustfinger is my favorite, too. But he's kinda creepy in the first book.

I know!!! It's terrible!! @ Barns 'n Noble had this book w/ pics from the movie about farids life.  Most ridiculous and terrible thing I have EVER seen!!! Elanor looks like some mystical gypsy... not at alll like I pictured her. It is just TERRIBLE how they destroyed that book. Another bad thing is how many people have NOT read the book but plan on seeing the movie anyway. Then they'll think it's the good version and the book is bad. It is disastarous!!
The characters are so terrible. They did a job so bad that there are no words for it! It makes me sad.Cry
