She is entirely correct not to let you read high school/college material if you're hardly a few months older than I am. (11.) Go, Bekah's mom!

Yeah, Canterbury Tales. Typo. *whoops*

She told you to read them? Sweet! You've got a cool mom. :) Like I said before, college material means you might get assigned it in a college class, not that you shouldn't read it before getting to college. Hence, Twilight =/= college material because no college professor in their right mind would assign Twilight for reading. *nodnod*

Yup, my mum's definetly cool.

And I STILL haven't finished reading it and I got it last year!

But then again, it is this REALLY cool edition that  shows the Middle English on the left page and right across from it on the right page is the modern english transalation, so I'm kinda trying to do it so I read both at same time and figure out the Middle English by looking at the corresponding line on the opposite page. It's kinda cool!

Ok, so, HI!! I have read all the Twilight books... and yes, I think that Stephanie Myer is a talented writer. I enjoyed her imagery, details, and her style of writing. I personally believe though that there is no moral or anything to the story which makes them a little, well, dull?! I sat there on the couch not quite knowing why I was reading them in the first place. The last two, I think, are a little over young teen's heads... I mean...... what Bella and Edward do in Breaking Dawn is a little adultish. I am not sure if tweens should be reading them. Hmmm. Undecided I think the story idea is pretty original which is good considering some of the books that have been published lately... (I am in love with Emmett Cullen, haha.) I just think that she could've added a little to the story and taken away some of the mature content. So, yea, that's my beef.

Original? ORIGINAL?

Read Anne Rice's vampire books, and then tell me Twilight is original.

I know what you mean. I've read them all and they are a little disturbing sometimes. If she took out at least a little of the s*x and kissing and so on, i think it could have been a lot more kid friendly. They are still really good though! Sealed

Hey, the shoddy fade-to-black nasties in BD were about as kid friendly as you'll ever get in a YA series. Besides, Twilight isn't a kid's series. It's not *supposed* to be kid friendly.

It isn't a kids' series?

I guess you are sort of right. I still think Meyer overdid it a little bit. I suppose she could have left the kissing--that's everywhere you look--but she also could have left it at "I was watching you sleep" and "Edward, why not? I love you so much" and "(crunch) I could do this to your body" and "Edward, I'm going to have a baby." It was just a little overdone. Right?Innocent
