I really love this book! It's written by Rick Riordan. Percy Jackson is a 12 year old kid, who lives in New York.  He is about to be kicked out of boarding school... again. And that's the least of his problems. Lately, mythological monsters and the gods of Olympus seem to be walking straight into his life. And he's made a few mad. Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now Percy and his friends have ten days to find the bolt before there is a war. But to succeed, he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and unravel a dangerous secret. Definitely read this book, and the other four after it!
