The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. (Clive Staples) Lewis, are really good. I've read them about three times. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Magician's Nephew are some of my favorites. Another good read is The Mozart Season by Virginia Euwer Wolff.

How about the Redwall seiries by Brian Jaques? (jakes) They are VERY good. They're about animals who live in an abbey and go on adventures.

I don't remember who wrote it, but the book Nick of Time is a really good book.  It's about a boy who lives on a small island off the coast of England during World War II, and has to solve mysteries and hide from pirates and the evil parrot.  I know pirates weren't around then, but trust me, it makes sence in the end.  It's sort of long, like 300 pages, but if you're the type who reads Harry Potter, you can read this.  It will most likely be in the kids' department in the library.  Hope you like this book.
