Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Book Quote Game!
We haven't had...

We haven't had one of these for a long time, so I'm making one. If you don't know the rules here they are:

I'll post a quote, people try and guess what book it's from, and the first person to guess correctly wins. The winner posts the next quote and it starts all over again.

This quote might be pretty hard, so if you need help I'll give some hints.

"Everything moved rapidly after the tea was drunk."

I love these!

Gosh, is it a Harry Potter?

The Hobbit?

Me too!

No, it's not from HP. I don't think the book is very well known. Hint: I read it recently.

I guess Alice in Wonderland or Through the Looking Glass.

It can't be, I know those books too well. I think it's from Sabriel.

Yes! It's from Sabriel!

Have you read it, or did you just look at the book I've read recently?

Ruby's turn!

Yeah, I've read it before. I actually had no clue you were reading it! Let's see, do I have anything unobscure on my bookshelf?

"Have I lost the ability to see what people need? Have I lost part of myself? I keep walking."

I just opened the book up to a random page and found something that sounded semi-memorable. I honestly cannot remember what part this was from, as I've only read this book once.

It's one of the Divergent books. Definitely.

It's Divergent.

Spammy says minr. "The week before I left Flirida and the rest of my minor life to go to boarding school, my mother insisted on throwing me a going-away party." Also I am a minor, as in "not an adult"

Maggie's quote is from Looking for Alaska.

...what? Oh. No, I didn't put that quote for the contest. That was just 'cause Spammy said minr. Let's see, what should my quote be? I found one:

i am constantly torn between killing myself and killing everyone around me.

(the lack of capitalization is intentional. That should help you figure out what book it is)

I've still got this one.  It's Will Greyson, Will Greyson (sp?)

Yes sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

I'm pretty sure that's Will Grayson, Will Grayson, the David Levithan part. Haven't read it, though.
