The Hobbit is really good, and so are The Lord Of the Rings books (and movies!!!).  I haven't read some of them, but I really don't think The Golden Compass is a very good book. I really like The Clique books and the Sisters Grimm.  I wanted to read TTYL, was it good?  And OH MY GOSH.  The Lightning Thief was the best book ever!!!!  Right now I'm about to get the 4th book in the series, The Battle Of the Labyrinth.  And (this is weird) The Lightning Thief was my summer reading assignment this summer, and when I got it I decided I had to read the other ones!!!  I think you should add The Lord Of the Rings and the other Percy Jackson and the Olympians books to the list.  And take my advice--never, ever read Tangerine!!!  That was our other summer reading book, and I HATED it.

Yes, I like The Hobbit, and Sisters Grimm, and some of the others, but most of them, I haven't even heard of. And I've never read The Golden Compass, but my mom and dad say it's by a really bad author. And what's the big deal about Nancy Drew and The Secret of the Old Clock? It's fine, but it's not that great.

I'm reading The Golden Compass. It's not that bad. And someone just told me to read the Nancy Drew book.... so I put it down... :)

The book itself isn't that bad.  It's the author who's bad.  This is just one more thing that I agree on with Emily.

The Golden Compass is sort of hard to read, but the other books are SO much better. For fantasy lovers I greatly recamend the Pellinor series. They are my favorite books of  all time. Another extraordinary book is Wildwood Dancing.

I read The Tiger Rising, The Hobbit, The Borrowers, The Penderwicks, Alice in Wonderland, Huckleberry Finn, and a bunch of others.  The Tiger Rising is great book!  To those of you who haven't read it, please read it!  It's sort of short and sad, though.
